Shaved ice is probably one of my favorite frozen desserts ever, and this one hit the spot. The inside has basic decoration, but doesn't downplay its shaved ice. The ice is soft, and the flavors are wide to choose from. The cashier we spoke to was very talkative and friendly, which was another plus for this place. I definitely plan to come here often.

My favorite place for a sweet treat! The staff here is always so friendly and attentive! They offer Dole Whip (Pineapple, addition seasonal flavor, and a swirl option) as well as Shaved ice with a great assortment of flavors to choose from. I love getting my Dole whip fix whenever I can't make it to Disney! Inside also has seating and shaved ice cup holders to hold your treats!

We stopped by Hula Tang Shave Ice in Chino Hills on a late Saturday afternoon after doing taxes for a pick-me-up. We ordered two things: the soft serve swirl (raspberry & pineapple) and the "rainbow" shaved ice, and both were excellent. The soft serve swirl was super creamy and smooth, and the flavors paired really well. The rainbow shaved ice had great flavor and the ice texture was perfect: light, fluffy, and not crunchy like some places. My toddler thoroughly enjoyed tasting both items. It was a great treat for a warm afternoon and exactly what we were hoping for. This is in a busy shopping center, so traffic around the area is pretty busy, but parking was really easy to find here. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Very cool inside. There are few tables both inside and outside. Their menu consists of Shaved Ice, Dole Whip, and Ice Creams. We couldn't decide what to order, everything looks so yummy. It was nice of the owner to let us sample the Dole Whip before deciding on our orders. We ended up getting the Cherry and Pineapple Swirl, and the Pineapple Dole Whip, both in a Cup. Both were so good and refreshing. Glad we stopped by when we did. Didn't get a chance to try their Shaved Ice and Ice Creams yet. Will definitely be back to try those. If you love Shaved Ice and Dole Whip, this is the place to be.

This location has been around for years and it's always a happy time coming here for dessert after dinner around Chino. The location has plenty of seats for customer inside and many outside the shop. Inside the shop is a welcoming Aloha vibe. We all decided on a round of dole whip cups. The staff were kind and served up all our orders so fast! I ordered the swirl of strawberry and pineapple and added the waffle cone too. The presentation of it was perfect. Took a picture of the bright colors because it was so nice it has to be shared. Their dole whip are as refreshing as it looks. The strawberry has good tartness to it and worth a try if you're curious. The shaved ice here is great, made to order and we definitely enjoyed these on a hot day. The service was great-- however I felt so bad because at the time of our order they only had one girl behind the counter. She still took our order and made them the best she could while also giving her attention to other customers as they would come in. She did a great job at taking care of many customers all by herself. The atmosphere inside was so lovely it took me back to Hawaii for a moment with how nice it was inside. The light music playing in the background and the sweet taste of the dole ice cream was so similar to the dole plantation we went to visit in Hawaii. Great place to visit if you are ever in the area. Definitely worth trying the dole pineapple ice cream-- taste just like Hawaii's authentic version.

Came by on a late Friday night after having some KBBQ. I ordered the strawberry-flavored Dole Whip in a cup. The order was completed immediately. We enjoyed our desserts inside the shop. This was my first time having a strawberry dole whip. What initially caught my eye was the color - it was a beautiful shade of pink that brought a smile to my face. The dole whip isn't very sweet, it's just as refreshing as the traditional pineapple one. I finished my dessert quickly, and I wanted another one. To note, you can also have the strawberry and pineapple swirl if you enjoy both flavors. I look forward to trying the twist the next time I come back to Hula Tang.

I would originally have given a 5 star. Love this little spot in Chino. We've had great experiences here and drive from Monrovia to come here. Shaved ice with all the flavors, dole whip and ice cream. There isn't a place quite like it. You can do a make your own so you get exactly what you're hoping for. People working here are always friendly and nice. However...this last time... I will say this last time I went, the place smelled like heavily of cleaning supplies. It was overpowering. Almost left but it started to fade so we stayed. Come to find out it was from the aerosol canned Lysol spray they were using to clean all the tables, the counter, and around the syrups and shaved ice machine. I could be wrong but I don't think that's safe for food service given the aerosols go everywhere. And they were spraying all over.

My twin girls love this place. The owners are awesome and always super understanding Recently we wanted to support their business and rented their truck which came to out house for my daughters bday. I come here quite frequently, and I absolutely love the shaved ice and dole whip they serve. Whenever I visit with friends or family, we always get both to share. My favorite is getting the dole whip twist! The service is usually friendly and quick as well. The only negative experienced I had was during my most recent visit. An employee was taking our order and helping us at checkout, her male coworker chose that moment to point out that she had put something back wrong. There is a time and place for that type of conversation, and I don't think it should happen in front of customers. Other than that, I've always had a great experience here and will definitely continue coming back. read more

My FAVORITE shaved ice spot off the island! The service is always A-1, friendly, quick and very homely. Establishment is always clean. The shaved ice is as soft as snow. The texture is not rough, it literally melts in your mouth. They have tons of flavors to choose from and they are very generous with their portion. They also have multiple flavors of ice cream available. My favorite go-to is a vanilla scoop ice cream at the bottom, tigers blood/blue raspberry/cherry topped off with condense milk (snow capped). Don't forget to ask for a stamp card bc I promise you will be making multiple trips back. They offer mobile catering services for parties and corporate events. Always the BEST at Hulatang! read more

This place was just as good as the shaved ice I've had back in Maui. The texture of the shaved ice was like snow. It was slightly creamy and also sweet. I think the only thing that would've made it more perfect was if they had mochi topping options for the shaved ice. read more

We love that this place carries Dole Whip pineapple soft serve. It's our favorite treat from Disneyland that we get to enjoy without having to actually having to go to Disney. Spring is in full swing. It is nice out and there's is nothing better than Hula Yang after church. We came to third service at CCCH down the street. The sun is out and I we want and to cool off with some shaved ice. It was nice to just walk up and order. Normally if you come after second service it can get pretty packed. Another positive is that the sun is on the other side of the building and there is shade outside. read more

Edit* To the owner who commented on my review. Perhaps take customer's reviews as is, and improve upon your product instead of reacting to every negative review defensively. Firstly, I have never stated that I am a shaved ice connoisseur. I only expressed my own opinions based on my personal experience. You mentioned your flavors are "true-to-fruit" tastes, but that also tells me you actually don't use 100% fruit juice and it's likely a fruit syrup concoction, therefore I wasn't wrong when I mentioned your shave ice did taste artificial. I was simply looking for dessert options in the area close by. My Review: I think I'm going to give up finding legit Hawaiian shaved ice comparable to the ones I've had in Hawaii. The dessert we ordered was pretty disappointing. After reading a couple reviews I figured I might find something close to Uncle Clay's or Ululani's but this place isn't even close. The syrups taste artificial and the first red flag was probably seeing all the kids flocking to this place and ordering crazy concoctions with toppings like pop rocks smh. We ordered a large and picked POG, pina colada, and guava but it was way too sweet. I was done after a couple bites. Perhaps I've outgrown these overly sweet desserts, but I really miss the Hawaiian shaved ice I've had in Hawaii where all the syrups are made in house with no added sugar and real fruit juices. If you are someone over the age of 30 and craving dessert, opt for the bingsoo place nearby. All the ladies working here are very nice though, I had a sample of their mango dole whip but even that wasn't my cup of tea. read more

Delicious shaved ice! The watermelon and pineapple dole whip are delicious! I do wish it had a little more flavor though or maybe just more syrup so it doesn't taste like just ice. The customer service is pretty good, some friendlier than others like any other place. Overall I definitely recommend trying it out if you're local or in the area! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Hula Tang Shaved Ice was one of the worst dessert experiences I've ever had. First off, the ice wasn't even shaved--it was more like chunky, half-melted snow that had been sitting out too long. It was watery and grainy, not smooth or fluffy like good shaved ice should be. The flavors? Artificial overload. I tried the mango and "blue raspberry," and both tasted like cough syrup mixed with sugar water. Absolutely no real fruit taste--just pure chemical. To make it worse, the syrup barely soaked into the ice, so it was flavorless in the middle and sickeningly sweet on top. The staff seemed annoyed to even be there, barely acknowledged us, and rushed the order even though no one was behind us. The place was also weirdly sticky--tables, counters, even the floor felt like they hadn't been cleaned in days. Save your money and go anywhere else. Hula Tang is an overpriced, underwhelming sugar slush disaster. Never again. read more

Established in 2019.

It all started with a trip to Hawaii. Shave Ice and Dole Soft Serve quickly became one of our favorite island treats, but after returning home, we couldn’t find anything on the mainland that matched the authentic taste and quality we experienced there. Determined to recreate it, we spent countless hours researching, talking with locals from the islands, finding the right syrup flavors, and learning the art of shaving block ice. When everything finally came together, we knew we had created something special. The soft, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth shave ice brought us right back to Hawaii, and we wanted to share that experience with others. What started as backyard catering soon grew into fairs, events, and now two years later, Hula Tang Shave Ice was born!

The girl snatched the cone from my hand and threw it so hard into the trashcan that the ice cream hit her coworker. Then, as we were leaving, I heard them complaining to each other about how "its exactly the same, just one machine is more oxidized." Ultimately, I really enjoyed my matcha soft serve but it was a bit of a struggle getting there. Their staff needs training on customer service and quality control.

I had to immediately fight back the urge to purchase another. On ambiance, Chun Yang Tea (Chino) surprised me. It's located in a foodcourt, but the location felt clean, well-ventilated, and useful. I saw several flat screen TVs playing the baseball game with English captions. Upbeat, playful music chimed. And there's a Gender Neutral restroom several feet away. In addition, the location is spacious. There's over seven nearby tables. And there's two available electrical outlets nearby the stall. However, if I had to nitpick, there's a very faint scent of the Asian grocery store in the background. It's very faint, but it's noticeable. Overall, I found myself gobsmacked and enthusiastic from my experience at Chun Yang Tea (Chino). The tea is affordable, high-quality, and TASTY! It's one of the best! As I'm typing this review, I am already craving another.... I NEED MORE!!! YES!!! 5 out of 5!!! GO!!!

A very decent boba place, but nothing super exceptional…read more Located in the food court area of 99 ranch, Chun Yang Tea is a cute little boba pitstop right behind Piju drinking. Parking is easy since it's in a large plaza for grocery store patrons. Instead of walking through the 99 ranch store entrance, I used their food hall door. I walked right inside and noticed they had 5 other food areas, though I don't recall any of them besides the bar. I walked up to the boba shop and there wasn't a cashier, only a kiosk. The bobarista was actually enjoying his meal. He quickly got up to assist me and my order. As I stood around, I watched him make my drink while looking at the decor. He made my drink fairly quickly and I was able to drink it while going grocery shopping. The green tea is decent and the boba had a good chewy consistency and size. The purple rice was very interesting and unique! It was my first time having a topping like it and it's exactly what it sounds like: rice in milk tea. Overall a decent boba spot. I need to come back to try other drinks. Nothing makes it memorable for me just yet, but I'm willing to come back to try it again!

H Mart is the best for Korean groceries (makes sense), but there's enough overlap that you don't really need to come here for most things. On the other hand, the prepared food here is great! I'm a huge fan of the sushi and sashimi, which are a great deal for the quality of the fish (and which I would not get at 99 Ranch).

Went here last week with my sister on Friday night and had to leave a review.When I first walked in I was immediately greeted by this nice young man who I didn't catch the name of and this woman named Evelyn. I told them this was my first time and that I wanted to try thier dole whip.they were super friendly and offered us samples. The dole whip is exactly like the one from Disneyland. The workers were so funny and nice and even had a friendly competition to see who could get the best swirl! In total some of the best customer service and great deserts! I recently visited Hulu Tang for some shaved ice and I have to give a shoutout to Samantha! Her warm smile and friendly attitude made me feel welcome right away. She took the time to explain the different flavors and helped me find the perfect combination for me ! Samantha clearly loves her job, and it shows in how she prepares each order with care. The shaved ice was perfectly fluffy and topped with vibrant, flavorful syrups. I went here randomly because of the crazy heat right now and was pleasantly surprised. I got Mango, Lychee and Guava flavored shaved ice and it was delicious. The prices are great too I might add. If you're looking for somewhere to bring your kids or even just yourself on hot day! I highly recommend it. I don't eat but they dole whip too if that's your thing! read more
