I come here quite frequently, and I absolutely love the shaved ice and dole whip they serve. Whenever I visit with friends or family, we always get both to share. My favorite is getting the dole whip twist! The service is usually friendly and quick as well. The only negative experienced I had was during my most recent visit. An employee was taking our order and helping us at checkout, her male coworker chose that moment to point out that she had put something back wrong. There is a time and place for that type of conversation, and I don't think it should happen in front of customers. Other than that, I've always had a great experience here and will definitely continue coming back. read more

My FAVORITE shaved ice spot off the island! The service is always A-1, friendly, quick and very homely. Establishment is always clean. The shaved ice is as soft as snow. The texture is not rough, it literally melts in your mouth. They have tons of flavors to choose from and they are very generous with their portion. They also have multiple flavors of ice cream available. My favorite go-to is a vanilla scoop ice cream at the bottom, tigers blood/blue raspberry/cherry topped off with condense milk (snow capped). Don't forget to ask for a stamp card bc I promise you will be making multiple trips back. They offer mobile catering services for parties and corporate events. Always the BEST at Hulatang! read more

My favorite place for a sweet treat! The staff here is always so friendly and attentive! They offer Dole Whip (Pineapple, addition seasonal flavor, and a swirl option) as well as Shaved ice with a great assortment of flavors to choose from. Shaved ice is probably one of my favorite frozen desserts ever, and this one hit the spot. The inside has basic decoration, but doesn't downplay its shaved ice. The ice is soft, and the flavors are wide to choose from. The cashier we spoke to was very talkative and friendly, which was another plus for this place. We stopped by Hula Tang Shave Ice in Chino Hills on a late Saturday afternoon after doing taxes for a pick-me-up. We ordered two things: the soft serve swirl (raspberry & pineapple) and the "rainbow" shaved ice, and both were excellent. The soft serve swirl was super creamy and smooth, and the flavors paired really well. The rainbow shaved ice had great flavor and the ice texture was perfect: light, fluffy, and not crunchy like some places. My toddler thoroughly enjoyed tasting both items. It was a great treat for a warm afternoon and exactly what we were hoping for. This is in a busy shopping center, so traffic around the area is pretty busy, but parking was really easy to find here. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area. read more

Passed this place all the time when visiting the In-N-Out nearby. Finally decided to give them a try. Came here after having dinner nearby. This place reminds me of Hawaii and being on the Island. Very cool inside. There are few tables both inside and outside. Their menu consists of Shaved Ice, Dole Whip, and Ice Creams. We couldn't decide what to order, everything looks so yummy. It was nice of the owner to let us sample the Dole Whip before deciding on our orders. We ended up getting the Cherry and Pineapple Swirl, and the Pineapple Dole Whip, both in a Cup. Both were so good and refreshing. Glad we stopped by when we did. Didn't get a chance to try their Shaved Ice and Ice Creams yet. Will definitely be back to try those. Hula Tang the go to spot for use when we're craving some delicious Pineapple Dole Whip. This location has been around for years and it's always a happy time coming here for dessert after dinner around Chino. The location has plenty of seats for customer inside and many outside the shop. Inside the shop is a welcoming Aloha vibe. We all decided on a round of dole whip cups. The staff were kind and served up all our orders so fast! I ordered the swirl of strawberry and pineapple and added the waffle cone too. The presentation of it was perfect. Took a picture of the bright colors because it was so nice it has to be shared. Their dole whip are as refreshing as it looks. The strawberry has good tartness to it and worth a try if you're curious. The shaved ice here is great, made to order and we definitely enjoyed these on a hot day. The service was great-- however I felt so bad because at the time of our order they only had one girl behind the counter. She still took our order and made them the best she could while also giving her attention to other customers as they would come in. She did a great job at taking care of many customers all by herself. The atmosphere inside was so lovely it took me back to Hawaii for a moment with how nice it was inside. The light music playing in the background and the sweet taste of the dole ice cream was so similar to the dole plantation we went to visit in Hawaii. Great place to visit if you are ever in the area. Came by on a late Friday night after having some KBBQ. I ordered the strawberry-flavored Dole Whip in a cup. The order was completed immediately. We enjoyed our desserts inside the shop. This was my first time having a strawberry dole whip. What initially caught my eye was the color - it was a beautiful shade of pink that brought a smile to my face. The dole whip isn't very sweet, it's just as refreshing as the traditional pineapple one. I finished my dessert quickly, and I wanted another one. I would originally have given a 5 star. Love this little spot in Chino. We've had great experiences here and drive from Monrovia to come here. Shaved ice with all the flavors, dole whip and ice cream. There isn't a place quite like it. You can do a make your own so you get exactly what you're hoping for. People working here are always friendly and nice. However...this last time... I will say this last time I went, the place smelled like heavily of cleaning supplies. It was overpowering. Almost left but it started to fade so we stayed. Come to find out it was from the aerosol canned Lysol spray they were using to clean all the tables, the counter, and around the syrups and shaved ice machine. I could be wrong but I don't think that's safe for food service given the aerosols go everywhere. And they were spraying all over. read more

The milkshakes were very good, not too much ice cream which created a sweet yet not overly so taste. Delicious. However, the customer service was absolutely terrible. The girl who served my family and I looked more than annoyed to be there. She did not welcome us nor did she tell us how much we owed, just stuck her hand out for the gift card we had. Spring is in full swing. It is nice out and there's is nothing better than Hula Yang after church. We came to third service at CCCH down the street. The sun is out and I we want and to cool off with some shaved ice. It was nice to just walk up and order. Normally if you come after second service it can get pretty packed. Edit* To the owner who commented on my review. Perhaps take customer's reviews as is, and improve upon your product instead of reacting to every negative review defensively. Firstly, I have never stated that I am a shaved ice connoisseur. I only expressed my own opinions based on my personal experience. You mentioned your flavors are "true-to-fruit" tastes, but that also tells me you actually don't use 100% fruit juice and it's likely a fruit syrup concoction, therefore I wasn't wrong when I mentioned your shave ice did taste artificial. Additionally, I visited your establishment because I was craving dessert after dinner in the area, I am not running around LA trying to find a Hawaiian shaved ice establishment. I was simply looking for dessert options in the area close by. My Review: I think I'm going to give up finding legit Hawaiian shaved ice comparable to the ones I've had in Hawaii. The dessert we ordered was pretty disappointing. After reading a couple reviews I figured I might find something close to Uncle Clay's or Ululani's but this place isn't even close. The syrups taste artificial and the first red flag was probably seeing all the kids flocking to this place and ordering crazy concoctions with toppings like pop rocks smh. We ordered a large and picked POG, pina colada, and guava but it was way too sweet. I was done after a couple bites. Perhaps I've outgrown these overly sweet desserts, but I really miss the Hawaiian shaved ice I've had in Hawaii where all the syrups are made in house with no added sugar and real fruit juices. If you are someone over the age of 30 and craving dessert, opt for the bingsoo place nearby. All the ladies working here are very nice though, I had a sample of their mango dole whip but even that wasn't my cup of tea. read more

Established in 2019.

It all started with a trip to Hawaii. Shave Ice and Dole Soft Serve quickly became one of our favorite island treats, but after returning home, we couldn’t find anything on the mainland that matched the authentic taste and quality we experienced there. Determined to recreate it, we spent countless hours researching, talking with locals from the islands, finding the right syrup flavors, and learning the art of shaving block ice. When everything finally came together, we knew we had created something special. The soft, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth shave ice brought us right back to Hawaii, and we wanted to share that experience with others. What started as backyard catering soon grew into fairs, events, and now two years later, Hula Tang Shave Ice was born!

At first, I thought they were husband and wife, but it turns out they are brother and sister. Fu siblings from Taiwan who are the creators of Meet Fresh. There is a beautiful story behind their humble beginnings. I saw one self-ordering kiosk, but ordering can be done at the counter as well. I chose the kiosk since there were people at the counter. I got 4 drinks and 2 desserts. 1 Wintermelon Tea - too sweet! 1 Strawberry Green Tea - okay! 1 Milk Tea w/ Boba + Lychee - perfect! 1 Boba Milk Tea - fine! 1 Hot Red Bean Soup Signature - delicious with lots of good ingredients! 1 Icy Grass Jelly Signature - as expected... it's just grass jelly with taro balls! Eat them while it's fresh. Otherwise, taro balls will harden. Overall experience was okay. Young staff was okay. I only gave this review a 4 stars because of the red bean soup. Otherwise, it would have been a 3 stars. This is actually my 2nd or 3rd Meet Fresh encounter. They seem to be popping up more and more. Good spot for delightful drinks and desserts!

Regardless of dollar amount I tried to call to sort this out or at least understand why I was charge extra and for what. I tried calling the store 10 times and no response. I didn't know it's okay to have employees secretly charge tip by bypassing tip option so they can add it themselves. I'm never going to this location again

I am spoiled by the H Mart in Diamond Bar (DB), so I was expecting something along the same lines but it was a bit different in this location. It is cleaner but some of the produce and fruit were not as fresh as the DB location. Also, there was an entire fridge aisle of alcohol drinks! That sure was a sight to see, since I do not ever recall seeing that in the DB location, or at least not that close to the entrance, let alone across from the produce and fruit. We did see a worker throwing out prepared food, so they must be clearing out already prepared food halfway through the day or something because we were surprised as it was still early afternoon. We do not recommend purchasing the prepped sweet potato here as they are dry and hard, not as fresh as the DB location. We were able to find what we needed and were on our way. The lines to the cashier are very short so it is convenient, as compared to the lines at the DB location, along with the always busy parking lot. This location is a bit smaller than others and also a bit pricier, probably due to the location. Overall, it is convenient if one is in the area and need a few items, but this would not be my main H Mart to shop at.

Went here last week with my sister on Friday night and had to leave a review.When I first walked in I was immediately greeted by this nice young man who I didn't catch the name of and this woman named Evelyn. I told them this was my first time and that I wanted to try thier dole whip.they were super friendly and offered us samples. The dole whip is exactly like the one from Disneyland. The workers were so funny and nice and even had a friendly competition to see who could get the best swirl! In total some of the best customer service and great deserts! I recently visited Hulu Tang for some shaved ice and I have to give a shoutout to Samantha! Her warm smile and friendly attitude made me feel welcome right away. She took the time to explain the different flavors and helped me find the perfect combination for me ! Samantha clearly loves her job, and it shows in how she prepares each order with care. For my order, I got an iced Spanish latte with oatmilk, the Banana Royale Crepe, and a Chipotle Chicken Panini with no tomatoes or onions and added avocado. The iced Spanish latte was delicious and definitely on the sweeter side, which is exactly how I like my coffee. If you prefer a less sweet drink, I would recommend asking them to adjust the sweetness level. The Banana Royale crepe was amazing. It was generously filled with bananas and full of flavor. It was easily my favorite sweet item. The Chipotle Chicken Panini was also very delicious and they did modify it with the exclusions I asked for but it was a bit heavy on the chipotle sauce, and I didn't see any avocado in my sandwich. That was a little disappointing, but overall it was still tasty and satisfying. Overall, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the customer service was excellent. I would definitely come back to try more items from the menu.
