I was traveling back to Dallas and my truck started shaking like crazy. Had a friend look up mechanics in the area and Hulk Auto showed up. Called and spoke with Brian. Told him my problem and he said he had a good idea what was wrong. Brought it by just before closing and he and Israel took a look, confirmed it was my drive shaft coupler. I left it there overnight and spoke with them the next day and they informed me that u-joints were bad (as I suspected as well). They worked all day and called me 30 minutes after closing to inform me that after a test drive, the shaking was worse. They lifted it up and found a bad rear (dually) tire bubbling. He told me to come by and pick it up. I arrived and they changed the tire and popped on my spare. This is probably an hour after closing. These guys are top notch! Great customer service, extremely helpful and kept me informed. If I lived in the area, this would be my automotive shop of choice, hands down! read more

I've had a couple of occasions where I went in thinking I was going to have to do a major repair and even told them what I thought the problem was. Both times ended up being just minor repairs that they were honest about and didn't try to take me for a ride with. Just walking into the office building I felt at home. There was a nice gentleman waiting there who highly recommended this place for me and my company. He said he brings all his work vehicles there too! I've taken my work truck to get fixed several times over the years at another place and I never seemed to get through to them what the problems were. I would sometimes get the truck back and still have the same problem. Not this place, I explained my concern and problems. After a test drive they found the problem. The staff there were very knowledgeable and generally concerned for my safety. They ordered the parts and despite the nasty weather we just had, got my truck fixed and on the road in no time. The first time I went in, the lady up front (I forget her name but she's the BEST!) was super warm and grabbed Bryan. I recently visited Hulk Automotive from Yelp regarding my coolant leaking Henry was very swift at responding to my issue while other automotive places took the next day. As soon as I came they were polite and checked my vehicle right away! They gave me detailed billing on what needed to be fixed and Nelly which is the sweetest lady gave me a ride home so I didn't need to call an Uber . They fixed my car within the end of the day and my bill was reasonable. I have brought 2 different vehicles to Hulk Automotive and received excellent service each time! We had a really bad experience at a different repair shop with our 12 valve diesel truck (which is not something many shops know how to work on) and we brought the truck to Hulk since the other shop couldn't seem to find the problem. The guys at Hulk were able to pinpoint the problem and correct it quickly and the truck has been running great ever since. I also brought a Ford Escape to Hulk for some work on the breaks. Overall I had a great experience here. I had an unusual problem with my brakes that required me to go back 3 times. Each time they took care of me very well. My brake problem was off and on and each time I went into the shop, the problem would not happen. That is part of the reason for the multiple trips. However, they did not nickel and dime me. Most places would have charged me for every visit and every little thing they tried to fix the problem, but Hulks did NOT do that. Henry was very informative and patient with me. His mother who runs the desk was wonderful and kind. Only one slight negative and the reason I gave 4 stars: on my first visit, I was helped by a couple of employees and I was unsure if they understood my brake problem correctly because of a language barrier. For probably 99% of mechanic problems, this would not be a problem. My problem was just complicated and required a lot of details to be communicated. The guys were great so absolutely no complaints about their work! read more

Hulk Automotive and especially Ari-my female mechanic gave me the best auto repair experience I've ever had. My Toyota Tacoma has the check engine light going off and on for two months.. I had taken it to three other shops and no one could figure it out- but hulk automotive did. Hulk automotive and Ari needed to keep my truck for a while bc the problem was so elusive, but they had a loaner car that I used-hassle free- so I wasn't put out by rental car fees or loss of wheels. Ari really put in the time and effort and saved my engine. Now my truck is driving like the smooth purring engine she always was. Thank you so much hulk automotive. Just called for an estimate on AC repair. 1. The front desk lady is Hispanic and very bad at speaking and articulating things. Probably not the best person to handle calls into your business. 2. After 10 min of explaining what I was wanting (an estimate....) she took my number and said they would call me back with an estimate. I asked if they would call me back today and she said yes, today, or maybe later. She said they are busy, they might not call you back. Literally made me laugh out loud. Back in February 2012 I asked my tow truck driver to take my car somewhere else, where they'd fix my transmission for $2500. He encouraged me to use Hulk,and Henry the owner said he could fix it for $1400-$1800. It was dropped on a Sunday and I asked them if i could have it back by Friday so I could take my fiancee to the airport in it. It was ready Saturday. It was indeed fixed properly but it cost me $2517. Didn't save any money so it would be a wash but then I swapped cars on that saturday and explained the problem. Turns out the mechanic fixed the wrong thing, saying I explained the noise wrong. I didn't, but nonetheless wouldn't you expect the mechanic to properly diagnose the problem? She spent $500 fixing the wrong thing. We let the tow truck driver talk us into taking it there again when it overheated and they wanted a whole lot more money to fix it again so we said forget it. They said it would be safe to drive the 9 miles home, and it overheated after a mile. After the first repair Henry said he'd look at it but I believe he never personally looked at it. Eventually we took the car elsewhere. The tow truck driver told me today he stopped taking cars there after March 2012, for reasons he didn't disclose. Would have posted this sooner but the one-year warranty on the transmission just ran out, and as I mentioned, the transmission was fixed right and didn't have any problems, but we had a lot of problems. Other things I like is they communicate via email and give you printouts (yes he did tell me it was $2517 before he fixed it but the car had already been towed there and Rick from Bullet assured me how happy I'd be). read more

Hulk Automotive is owned and operated by Henry who is an EXTREMELY honest and knowledge mechanic. He is extremely polite and does not talk down to his customers. Not only is Henry that way but his techs are all that way - they know their stuff but are not out to rob you or recommended repairs you dont need. I have used Henry's mobile service as well as taken my vehicles to him at his garage and both have been extremely positive experiences. I do alot of my own minor automotive work and what I cant do/dont want to do - I take to him. Recently I took my vehicle back to him for a follow up to a problem he fixed a month ago - he took it apart and looked and turned out to be another problem that I choose not to get fixed because it was more of an inconvenience than a functional issue - NO Charge - and this was about 2-3 hours of his mechanics time to do this. How many places do you know that would do that - at least they would charge you for an hour or 2 for diagnosis - but not Henry and his mechanics. I have sent co-workers to him and they are amazed by his honesty and his work. I cant say enough positive things about Hulk Automotive!!! read more
