Having COVID-19 strike close to home, I found myself in desperate need of home oxygen on short notice to care for my elderly father. Unfortunately, after making many phone calls and site visits to other oxygen and home care vendors, I found home oxygen services were not only in high demand but difficult for the average consumer to acquire without advanced planning. Regrettably, I also found that many other companies who compete with Orange Coast Respiratory Care Services had stopped renting equipment to consumers. Instead, they were marking up prices to increase their profit margin selling rather than renting the same equipment (in some cases at 3x the retail price) as they tried to benefit from public resource limitations posed by COVID-19. This is not the practice of Orange Coast Respiratory Care Services, which instead is a company seemingly re-inventing itself to best support the industry and public sector during this health crisis. In my family's time of need, Ashlee with Orange Coast Respiratory Care Services not only answered our desperate call for service after hours, but she arranged for their delivery driver to meet me with supplies and oxygen well after they had closed. Ashlee and the entire family at Orange Coast Respiratory Care Services have been attentive to our needs from start to finish. We have had to fill multiple tanks over recent weeks for interim use while providing at-home care to my father. My feedback about this company and the services they provide is 100% positive. If you try to speak with someone higher up they will lie and say they will call you but it will never ever ever happen. Today they were supposed to pick up some equipiment. I took part of the day off to accommodate them. The day of the appt they say they will call you and give you an arrival window. My call never came (it never does) so I called in and was told my window was 10-2. No one showed from 10-2. Which is normal for them as I meant what I said when I said they do nothing right. Just look at all the other sg homecare reviews. They are all the same company. I think they changed the name to Stance to confuse people but it's the same poor service and non functioning equipment. At about 215pm for some bizarre reason they phoned my sister who lives elsewhere and who's number is not even on this acct and told her they were on their way and she texted me. So I waited a bit more and no one came. I texted the number 562-519-0189 which is the number that called my sister and I asked where they were and if they were coming. I did this twice. I got no text response but the number did call me back and hung up. It is now 7:30 pm at night and I have had a 1000 dollar machine waiting outside for someone that told me he would be here before 2. And guess what this is actually the least of the bad things they have done to us. Their equipment does not function, it is not cleaned, nor is it maintained as it should be. The website is in shambles and billing dept hysterical as the bills sometimes come and sometimes do not. It is very complex to pay your bill. They don't answer the phone, there is no accountability, no communication and no manager to speak to. It is a circus. The worse thing they do is lie- they simply lie during every conversation and some of the people you get on the phone cannot speak English and do not understand what is going on.. You are also charged for equipment and disposables they do not provide. They are only there to milk the insurance company and your co-pay. Your health and sanity are at risk with this company. They are a danger and every office should be closed.
