After three failed back surgeries, my brother wanted to go home for his final days. I emailed DMES to see if we could arrange for a hospital bed for him on a Sunday and I got a response from the CEO of DMES who then spoke with me that same day and made it clear that he would do whatever we needed to make sure my brother could be as comfortable as possible in a hospital bed from DMES. He went far above and beyond to accommodate us in every way. This kind of extraordinary customer care and service is uncommon and I wanted to write this review to make it clear that there's something very special about DMES, their CEO (Adrian) and staff. VERY DISAPPOINTING experience. We rented an electric wheelchair for our father, a disabled veteran with Parkinson's, and were initially glad to find availability. Unfortunately, we given only a brief demonstration of how the wheelchair operated, with no written instructions, manual, or supporting paperwork provided. There was also no assistance offered in getting the equipment to the car. During pickup, my husband overheard staff mention that the unit could be difficult to charge, which raised concerns. When we attempted to use the wheelchair during our trip, it powered on, light flashing but would not move at all. By that point, we were too far away to return to the store, and without any instructions, we were left trying to troubleshoot on our own. Most concerning was the response when my elderly parents called to report the issue-- they were met with a dismissive and defensive tone rather than empathy or a willingness to help. The interaction was particularly upsetting given their age and the circumstances. After returning the wheelchair, no resolution or follow-up was offered, despite being told the owner would call to discuss our concerns. That never happened. We have rented medical equipment across the country for many trips and have never encountered such a lack of support, professionalism, or basic customer care. This experience was both frustrating and disappointing, and we DO NOT recommend this business. read more

Good customer service, needed a Hoya lift for my brother who has terminal Cancer and they delivered after hours on weekend ( Super bowl Sunday) had to pay fee but they delivered very quickly, the don't accept Medi-Cal but we needed it and they supplied! My brothers nurse came and called their supplier and they will cover it, so we spoke to Michelle at DMES, and they don't refund the monthly rental , but the manager was top notch and is going to refund our credit card the amount for rental , I don't mind paying the weekend delivery charge, this is good customer service and I would highly recommend this business to anyone who needs quality products and quality customer service! Extremely disappointed. I bought a new Don Joy Ice Machine yesterday in a rush as my mom had a knee replacement, we were on our way home from her first physical therapy appointment and she was in a world of hurt. Our previous DonJoy ice machine had just stopped working so I stopped in to make a quick and dirty purchase. Dirty was what I received. I paid almost more than double for this product. This makes zero sense. I could have ordered it online anywhere from $129 to $209. Happy to pay the price of a product but to pay $384 for the same product is absolutely insane. Like I said our previous Don Joy ice machine stopped working on a couple years old and I paid $189 from the hospital, another brick and mortar. I want to support the local brick and mortar stores, but not when they are gouging the prices like this. Very disappointed and I have a bad taste in my mouth. Oh the topper...all sales are final and the sales clerk stamped that on the receipt or else this would be going right back to the store today. She knew what she was doing.
