I met other people who had to surrender pets due to homelessness or lost job. although it's a kill shelter they do their absolute best to provide care in order to get these dogs adopted faster. they encourage people to foster and help these animals find home.

They strictly abide by these rules. I can only comment on the services that I use here. I've received vouchers in the past and gotten animals fixed for $30. If I foster, I will come here and get them assessed, dewormed, vaccinated along with flea and tick preventative. This is free of cost since I'm taking the responsibility of fostering instead of leaving them there at the shelter. They also offer me free food but I decline so it can go to someone who really needs it. Foot traffic varies. I've been here half a day or sometimes it takes no time at all. They make it very clear to people who surrender and drop off that the animal is at risk of euthanasia. They are always at critical capacity so if you are looking for a companion I always encourage to adopt and not shop or alternatively, fill out their foster application as they are always looking for foster ppl to save more animals and all supplies are provided.

I always make my appointments ahead of time by emailing them which is very convenient. My appointment was at 10 AM. once there you sign in and they go in order from when you signed in. I only had to wait for a few minutes before they called my name and I paid in cash. Then a few minutes later, the vet tech came out to my car where my fearful dog was in the back seat. Since she doesn't like other dogs, this is so convenient. But they will only do this if you only need one shot. Plenty of parking in the lot in front of the office.

Their puppy adoption rates are already higher than two other local shelters. CCSPCA, don't complain about full kennels but then charge people ridiculous prices to adopt! I truly hope you rethink your business tactics/practices, for the sake of animals needing good and safe homes. P.S. I debated on posting because ultimately their mission is what I believe in but this experience was deplorable and in my opinion went against their mission/purpose; people want to help, but blatant money grabs like this are disgraceful to witness!

I'm sure I could buy less expensive food online but I prefer to purchase in person. I feel like they offer a bit more cat products since they moved to this location a couple years ago. They used to be located by the rail road tracks in what looked like a big red barn. The new location seems more spacious and a lot better IMO since it's not as cold and more parking. The service is always great cus the employees are always knowledgeable. They even have a rewards program with some dog food. I think it's buy 10 bags or buy 15 bags get the next free? Something like that. It has to be the same bag same weight tho. Still good if ur grabbing the same shit. The last time we went we changed our dogs dog food cus he was having bad allergies. There was a lady there that worked with the brand Red Barn (how funny I brought up red barn earlier lol) and she helped us out a lot. We ended up choosing that brand n got grain free and she gave us a $10 off coupon I forgot how much it was but that was deals... she also gave us a free canned food version and a coupon for the dry food topper for free. So we got all that for the discounted dog food price cus of the coupons. Fuckkn awesome man!!!

Knew I had to have it done and was freaked out the whole time she was in there and expecting the worst. They came out with her and she was great!! Got her home and she was fine just a little tired. After waiting nearly 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I approached the front desk to…read moreinquire about the delay. The staff member I spoke with was dismissive and rude, stating she had "no idea" how much longer I would need to wait and that I was simply waiting for a technician with one other person ahead of me. I returned to my seat and waited an additional 10 minutes, during which no one was called back. At that point, I decided I could no longer wait and requested a refund of my deposit. The staff member informed me that cancellations require 48 hours' notice but added that, "as a courtesy," she could "probably" issue a refund. I found this response ironic, as it felt anything but courteous given that I had already waited more than 30 minutes past my appointment time. What I find most frustrating is the inconsistency in expectations: clients are required to arrive early or on time, with the risk of having their appointments canceled and deposits forfeited if they are late, yet the practice does not extend the same respect for clients' time. To wait for over 30 minutes without explanation or apology is unacceptable. When I asked to speak with a manager, the staff member became noticeably snippy and refused to get one. After assisting a few more customers, she went to the back and returned with a Post-it note containing an email address, claiming the manager was out of the office. This felt disingenuous, as she had initially indicated she would retrieve someone for me to speak with. I have always valued the care my pets have received at your practice, which is why today's experience was so disappointing. The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and respect for my time has shaken my trust in your establishment
