Great little hole in the wall Mexican fast food place. Nothing special but the food is tasty and they are consistent. The prices are low and the food is so filling. Try the menudo on the weekends and the house made lemonade. I REALLY wish they would right down my order so they don't have to ask me multiple times what I ordered and so they don't forget things. But I guess that's part of the charm of this El Mirage staple. 9/10 recommend and will be back! read more

April 1st was National Burrito Day. I was heading up Grand and decided to do my part and grab a burrito. I have passed this place a gazillion times and finally decided to hit up the drive thru. I pulled up to the window and the lady took my order. As per usual, when I go to a new taco shop, I went with a California Burrito and a Beef Taco. Total was just above $13.00 which is a tad steep, but if the food was good, it would be worth it. Here is how they were.............. Beef Taco- This taco had THE most cheese I have ever seen on a beef taco. The taco itself was average size but the cheese was piled high. I appreciated that. Good crisp shell, good shredded beef, cool crisp lettuce and a plethora of cheese. Solid beef taco! California Burrito- This thing was massive! It was stuffed with carne asada, cheese, potatoes and guacamole. The carne asada was cooked fresh on the flat top and had a nice little char/crisp to it but was still tender. Really good carne asada. The potatoes were cubed chunks that were a little bit soft. I prefer crispy potatoes in my Californias. The guacamole was good! The best part about this burrito though might have been the little grilled onions they use inside of their pico. They dice up the onions super small, and grill/sautee them. It added a little sweetness to the burrito and it was delicious. Really good CA burrito! Overall, solid 4 stars. The girl at the counter was nice and friendly, and the food was pretty legit. A bit steep at $15.00 (including tip), but if I am on Grand again, and craving a burrito, I would definitely come back. read more

This place right here is a diamond in the rough I was a little nervous about stoping her for breakfast but I was hungry and life's a risk carnal so I said f*** it let's give it try and to my surprise this place was amazing I had the pineapple agua fresca a tostada de ceviche and two tacos de tripa (thanks for the recommendation to the girl working the counter) the tripas were nice and crispy just like I like them and the ceviche is so good It'll cure any hangover the tacos had guacamole and pico de Gallo it the perfect combo for that taco with a nice warm tortilla this spot most definitely made my must have list I'll be returning soon to try the menudo it looked delicious read more

Stumbled upon this little piece of heaven while having tires replaced at a nearby shop. We went to a nearby thrift store and over heard people talking about Humberto's. Since we would have a 2 hour wait why not try Humberto's for lunch. So happy we did. This is the real deal Mexican food. They offer a full menu, dine-in or drive-through. The crew is happy, pleasant and really love their establishment. We ended up loving our lunch, the burritos are huge and taco's are to die for. We even went the next day for lunch again and got take-out so we would have leftovers. Thank you Humberto's, you made these two Gringo's feel so very welcome. read more

Had a fish taco, carnitas plate, and a chicken chimichanga from Humberto's. Fish taco was very good. Crunchy fish with just the right amount of heat in the sauce. Carnitas were tender, but not a lot of flavor. The chimi was big and the chicken inside was okay. A bit dry. Rice and beans were adequate. The pico de gallo looked and tasted old. tip: if ordering in the drive thru - either there is no speaker system or it's out of order - when the person wearing an apron walks up to the side of the menu and stares into your car that means "Hi, can I take your order" There was a few seconds of awkward silence and wondering WTH this person was looking in the car for before we figured out she was there to take our order :) Since moving to the west valley from southern CA we've been itchin' to find a replacement for Alberto's or Taco San Pedro. Great food and the people are friendly. Seems like a family affair which I like. It looks like the place is newly re-decorated. The kitchen and the dining area are very clean. They have hit sauce in bottles if you dine in, which I really like. The bean and cheese burrito is fantastic! They actually add some flavor ro their beans. The potato egg and cheese is great also. They use real potatoes instead of chopped up french fries. The family lives this place and its a regular spot for us. I would definitely give it a try. Dont let the size of the place or location scare you off. read more

First, I'd like to start by saying that I actually like the food here regardless of it being overpriced. I'm leaving this review because I had ordered a Chorizo breakfast burrito with potatoes (which is extra). The burrito was bad and full of egg and very little potatoes or chorizo. I called back politely and notified them of my concern. They asked for my name and they told me to come back whenever to get another as a replacement, that they have my name written down. Fast forward to today and I go to accept my replacement burrito and she states that my name is not written down (on a white board she pointing at) and that she can't help me. Not sure if she was insinuating that I was a liar but her body language sure did. If they get a lot people trying to scam them out of free food that's not my problem, maybe write it down in a book where it can't be erased, regardless you don't treat your customer who was there due to a previous issue and make it worse. It's unfortunate because I love their food but I will not be going back due this interaction and their overall high prices. This man opened a door on the side of the building and took my order. So I asked for a steak Borito with sour cream & avocado. It never happened! They do not provide an itemized recipe and just quote prices. I ordered 2 burritos (carne asada &9 & bacon $8.25). The prices listed on the menu are not what they charged. I asked for extra bacon during the ordering process. Was told my total was $18.79. My receipt shows $19.53. (I figured the additional charge was due to using a debit card) After I paid she comes back and says the extra bacon was an additional $3, and was charged $3.57. The food was decent but not worth the price. I would recommend using cash and confirming price and order before paying. Not sure I will be back. read more

The Carne Asada tacos were not prepared properly The meat tasted like it was Boiled and had no seasoning whatsoever Marinated beef ,it wasn't!! The Spanish Rice was bland,I have had much better tasting rice from Uncle Ben's! There was no Cilantro or Spicy Salsas and the so called Pico was just that. I was given one half of a dried out tiny lime the size of a quarter. I asked for fresh lime and received 2 little pieces.Mind you I was the only Customer there eating at the time and I had to wait several minutes on the Cashier who was busy hosing a bucket! Stopped in and had nevertheless visited before. Drive thru speaker wasn't working so a lady with a nonchalant attitude neither friendly neither rude came out to take my order. I got the taco enchilada combo and as there was no description thought there was meat inside the enchilada... my bad it was cheese and a horchata. Didn't take long to get, the horchata was bomb very rico and sweet. But the food... ehhh mostly cheese. The rice was bland but the beans where good. The beef inside the taco was fried way to hard and I didn't get a receipt so after giving her a $20 spot I got 9 bucks and some change back.
