I came in for breakfast on a Friday morning around 8 am with friends. The coffee menu had some unique offerings, and there were plenty of choices for breakfast. Most of my friends ordered some form of flavored iced latte, one got the orange juice, and I hot a hot latte, which I really enjoyed. For breakfast, most of my companions got some form of breakfast sandwich, and everyone seemed to like what they ordered. I got a plain bagle with cream cheese. Not the very best bagle I've ever had, but tasty. Cute interior seating with both tables and a bar. Lots of folks seemed to be settling in to work, so it might get a bit tricky to find seating later in the morning, but it wasn't a problem for us. I liked the range of options offered here, plus the comfortable dining area and very nice staff. I'd definitely visit again.
This is the spot. I would have missed it walking around downtown Golden, but it is the cutest, comfiest, & warm shop. 10/10 would recommend the BGolden breakfast sandwich(beware, it is a little pricy - $15). Sadie, who was working the front the Saturday we went, was SO sweet. Great & fast service. Lots of seating inside, but it fills up fast. Look into reserving the camper outside, it's a fun (& free!) option.
Using Yelp I found Humble House Cafe that was opening soon and wasn't too far away from where we were staying. Honestly, though, it was their menu item of Carrot Cake French Toast that caught my eye. I normally don't go for sweet for breakfast but every now and again something just sounds too yummy to pass up. Going inside I wasn't sure exactly how they worked it but I could see that the place was small with a limited number of tables and even small number left available so I helped myself after a minute to a table and then noticed the menus were at the front desk so grabbed one for myself. You order up there, then sit down and they bring you the food. I took my time reviewing everything just in case there was something else that sounded better than the Carrot Cake French Toast but there wasn't... or at least for what I was in the mood for that day. I ordered and service was quick to bring everything out. The french toast, given the type was pretty dense but very filling but oh so good. I enjoyed my breakfast and read over some of the travel books they had out about Colorado, Denver, and Golden to see if there was anything in the area that I was not aware of that sounded fun. Of course, there was and I was sure to take them with me (they are like the books you get from the hotels) so I could continue to read more.
Wow! Can we say, "Best coffee house ever?!" This adorable, cozy, place is amazing!!! Not only is the menu incredible (with daily coffee specials that are to-die for!), the entire cafe was designed to pay it forward and give back to communities in need. How wonderful to be able to shop, eat, and hang with such a fabulous, mission-driven, ethical-focused establishment. And with such humility, which is soooo rare to find these days! Even with all of the awards they have won. It is truly a shining star for this community. One of the things that I found, while waiting for the bathroom, was this little mailbox with postcards next to it. You could write a postcard to a child at Children's Hospital and they would would put a stamp on it and mail it. I absolutely LOVED that and did it! Also, if you want to purchase gifts, they have a little store in the front, where you can support small and women-owned businesses. If only every coffee house could be like Humble House! Ah, one can dream!
Such a charming cafe!! My partner and I visited Humble House Cafe while on a weekend trip to Denver, and it was one of my favorite spots we checked out. It's hard to say what I liked most -- the vibes are extremely cozy, the decor is cute, the staff is unbelievably friendly, and the food is tasty. It's a pretty popular spot, with a 15+ minute line streaming out their door when we arrived around 10 AM, but I can absolutely see why. I especially loved the pay it forward wall by the cashier, where folks could contribute a few dollars to a specific profile of future patron (e.g., newlyweds on their honeymoon, new moms, someone struggling with X). Food-wise, we split a latte, a classic vegetarian breakfast sandwich, and their vegetarian breakfast platter. Everything was outstanding: the croissant was nice and buttery, and it went wonderfully with the fried egg, generous portion of creamy avocado, and sliced tomato. The slice of cheddar and aioli helped to bind the whole sandwich together and created a really wholesome bite. The breakfast platter was equally delicious, with two nicely scrambled eggs (which were very cutely presented as circles, similar to the fried egg) served with an array of fresh veggies and a herbaceous, fresh crema. All told, we probably spent several hours here after eating to read, chat, and work together. I could honestly spend a whole day -- or week -- here; the vibes are outstanding, and I felt really at home in this Humble House.
I loved this little spot. I ordered the cinnamon roll and a chai latte. At first glance, I was worried the cinnamon roll might be dry; that's often my experience with cinnamon rolls from cafés and bakeries. Thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong. The woman working at the counter was incredibly kind and welcoming, which immediately made the experience feel special. After I found a seat, she brought my cinnamon roll over warm, with the glaze perfectly melted and draped over the top. It was soft, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The chai latte was just as impressive. I've had many chai lattes over the years, but this one had a surprising depth of flavor that really stood out. Whether it was the cozy atmosphere, the friendly service, or simply a great cup of chai, everything came together perfectly. Maybe I was just having a really good day, but I think this place deserves some of the credit. You'll have to be the judge for yourself.
This is such a cute spot to grab coffee, with a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but by the time we left there was a line out the door. The interior is very welcoming and cozy. I got the Iced Honduran Latte, which was absolutely delicious and just sweet enough. To eat, I got the Avocado Toast, which was yummy but tiny. For $10 I wish it was a little larger. We also tried the Cinnamon Roll, which was good but nothing special. I would return here for the coffee, and their breakfast sandwiches, which looked like a much better portion size compared to the Avocado Toast.
Very cute and humble breakfast/lunch spot in Golden :) Stumbled in during a trip and enjoyed the quick counter service. The environment inside is very cozy and lots of people were working on their laptops. They have free WiFi so it's a perfect spot for it. They have a good amount of seating inside and even more in the back outside. My husband ordered Rosie the Riveter bagel sandwich and I got the B*Golden Croissant sandwich. Both were good but the B*Golden Croissant definitely came out on top. The honey and goat cheese were SO GOOD and it was a great mix of sweet and savory. I can tell they do great business here because they were low on silverware and completely out of knives. When I asked the kitchen for a knife they had to wash one for me and bring it out but it was still a little dirty which is the only reason I couldn't do 5 stars.
Stopped in town for a few hours to explore and headed here first for a bite to eat. The cafe is cute and quaint, with great outdoor seating in the back. I had a turkey sandwich and seasonal apple matcha - both pretty good! I would come back to hang out with friends or work on my laptop if I lived near.
This cafe is so cozy and fun. They have amazing drink specials and also the traditional ones. Cute little gifts at the front like kombucha, mugs, journals and fun tinctures. I ordered the grinch latte, which was pistachio, it was SO good. Not too strong of flavor but the right amount. The service was so helpful and nice and I just really enjoyed my experience.
Quick coffee date and walk on the Clear Creek trail! Was surprised waking into Humble House as it was packed full on a Monday morning at 10am. Location is right downtown with some good merchandise at the front. Service was fairly quick with seating at the front while we waited. My Eggnog latte was heavy on the milk and I would have liked more coffee flavor but still nicely made with a cute design on top. Bathrooms were well cleaned but the changing table proved difficult for a diaper change as it was very high on the wall. Overall a nice coffee shop and they must be doing something right to have so many people!
Would say this place had good coffee. I would give it a second try but will say for being the only ones waiting took a wee bit long and I usually don't complain ... The feel of the place is really chic and down to earth , love the "pay it forward wall" For sure will come back Staff was supppperrrrr nice and welcoming

Got the Matcha latte half sweet with vanilla (comes unsweetened which I appreciated!) and it was really good! Lots of nice indoor seating. Right in the heart of downtown. Definitely would recommend! read more
This is a place for me that was better before we ate. The ambience is adorable, it's super cute exposed brick and a lot of little gifty things to look at, but the register is definitely in the wrong place because a line piles up out the door. We started with the Honduran latte, Haitian latte, and the berry açaí latte, all the drinks were great! We then ordered the Clara Barton, Rosie the Riveter, and the BGolden Sammie. Rosie the riveter was the best, the Clara Barton and BGolden both had WAY too much goat cheese, the ratio of this to everything else was very off and the primary flavor. The other thing is that it was literally $45 for two breakfast sandwiches and two lattes which in my opinion is pretty steep. If you're in Golden looking for a coffee shop, this is the spot! I've been to Golden multiple times but first time trying Humble House and I have been missing out! Their coffee is amazing but their breakfast food is next level. My friend I split the Rosie the Riveter with sausage and the classic sausage Sammie. Both were very tasty and filling. I loved the pesto and balsamic touch on the bagel sandwich and the croissant was so soft and flakey on the other! Picnic tables out front that we enjoyed on a beautiful sunny day! The shop is nicely decorated and lots of tables to get work done. The staff member who took our order was very patient and gave great recommendations. Honduran latte was fantastic. Overall a great experience and I am definitely recommending this place to friends and visitors. read more
Such a cute cafe in Golden! Really cute decor and a great menu! I love the inside and the back patio area. The people were also so nice. I loved my turkey sandwich with the apricot jam and the mint pesto sauce. It was really delicious. They also have bonfire burritos. Also love the smoothie selections. Came here with a friend for breakfast around 9AM on a Saturday and it was delicious!! Such a cute place on the main Street in Golden that I didn't know existed. The shop not only sells food and coffee but has a bunch of local artist products for sale - I got a locally made dog poop back holder and they had beautiful pottery as well. My friend and I ended up splitting two sandwiches - Rosie the Riveter and the Clara Barton. Both were very tasty but agreed the Clara was best with the buttery croissant and jam. The Rosie was a little hard to eat - the avocado kept sliding out of the bagel. For drinks, I got the magic mushroom latte (delicious, earthy and not sweet at all), and my friend got the Honduran Latte (the lingering taste of honey at the backend was delicious). Will definitely be going back and recommending to others!!! read more

Humble house cafe was a quaint coffee shop off the Washington street main downtown golden area. The food was really tasty, the coffee and pastries were great, and the cocktails were a great deal for a cafe! Seating can be a bit tricky for parties of 4 or more but worth the wait! The service was good and were very quick to get us our ordered items! read more
What went well? Absolutely everything! We recently visited Golden for a week and the first morning I wanted breakfast and gps said this was 350' away. I ordered cheese scrambled eggs which came with fabulous, perfectly cooked thick bacon slices and a sliced avocado. Then there was the gluten free blueberry financier which was heavenly. I had to have one every morning because it was so different and so delicious. The service was impeccable and the ambience is warm and welcoming. The best surprise of all was outside. The kids met a Great Pyrenees who was the consummate, friendly welcome to Golden on our first morning there. read more

I was skeptical about how pickled onions were going to land on this breakfast ensemble. But once I tried them with the eggs, with the tomatoes, with the avocado, I was sold. And what a great presentation! * I appreciate the aioli being on the side instead of putting it directly on the food. It tasted good w everything on my plate. * Dry Cappuccino-- it was made perfectly (rare) and the espresso was subtle, gentle. It's located in the center of Washington St., has outside seating in back, with some seating inside. The layout is smart, with the ordering counter far from the kitchen and coffee stations. You could also do some tourist shopping here - postcards, mugs, dog collars, magnets, etc. Restrooms available. read more

This was such a lovely gem downtown Golden! The girl taking our orders was really friendly & helpful & I took her recommendations for what to order! I got a sausage sandwich & it was so good! The sauce they put on it really brought it together, they didn't skimp on cheese & the croissant was good but not the best I've ever had. I got the Haitian latte which I was excited about but the flavors were so subtle it pretty much just tasted like an original latte. Wife and I tried this place on Monday morning in Golden and it was quite the treat for both of us. As you can see from our picture what we got as brunch it was absolutely delicious and filling. The restaurant is nestled in the heart of downtown and is rather small inside. The service is quick and the staff are super friendly. I'm curious as to what it looks like when their busy. Definitely a repeat again in the future for the wife and I for sure. Enjoy! read more

Great atmosphere. Outside and inside seating. Local goods sold inside from jewelry to soaps. The food was delicious. I've never had a latte that tasted like this. Great flavor! They have a wall of "pay it forward" that has some very touching notes :( would definitely visit again next time I'm in Golden Colorado! read more

Delicious and quick breakfast in Golden! The front of house staff was incredible friendly and helpful as we navigated the menu. I got the Rosie the Riveter breakfast sandwich (the balsamic drizzle was delicious)! You order at the front and get a buzzer that beeps when your food is ready.
