I've been here before on a couple of occasions with a group, all of those visits were five star, service was awesome. Last nights visit was a total dud. I invited a gf to meet me here for a cigar & whiskey and girl talk. The bar area was comfy but the service was lacking. We ordered drinks and those arrived quickly, we went into the humidor and couldn't find any of the flavored cigars so she went to grab the bartender for an assist only to be told she didn't know anything about the cigars and couldn't help us. One of the regulars came in and made a bunch of suggestions, he found the flavored cigars on a bottom shelf. The bartender didn't chat with anybody in the bar it was so odd. Definitely not like the experiences I've had in the past at this place. My gf said she probably won't be back but I will, I'm hoping that was a one off experience. The patio area in the evening is the place to be. There is no food available, but there is free ChexMix. And they have happy hour!! read more

Torch is a decent cigar bar. Its in a good location, if you live in North Phoenix and they have a decent selection of cigars. I have been to Torch many, many times and it has always been 'good', but never great. This past New Years Eve, I experienced the worst service I've had in AZ since 2019 - at any restaurant or bar. Arriving around 8pm, we were the only table in the bar. Despite seeing me when I arrived and sat at a sofa near the entrance, the bartender never acknowledged me or came to the table. There was nobody else in the bar, but she was apparently too busy or too lazy. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I went to the bar and asked her if they had table service. She rudely said no. I ordered my drink, started a tab and asked for a cutter. The bartender, Camila G., was rude, mean and unprofessional. For the remainder of the night our party of 4 had to go to the bar to order, despite being the only customers in the bar. She never came to the table once to check on us - or to empty the ashtray, or even say 'Happy New Years'. Later in the night another table showed - and Camila went to their table to take their order, yet continued to ignore my table. We left around 10pm to head out for New Years. Despite the terrible service and rudeness, I still tipped 20% as it was NYE. Camila did not deserve a nickel. She is a discredit to the establishment and I will never go there again. There are much better cigar bars across Scottsdale and Phoenix. Cedar Room and Trevor's (Mayo) offer incredible atmosphere and service. The guys at Fox Cigar Bar in Scottsdale are fantastic. Another lame thing about Torch is the cutting fee. They don't have great cigars or Cubans, so if you want to smoke your own here - you first have to waste money on a mediocre cigar. If you want rudeness and a mediocre cigar experience - go to Torch and ask for Camila G. read more

Cigar selection is very small. Nearly all the cigars I picked up were dried out and the cigar room was not even the slightest bit humid to keep them fresh. The bar and esthetics of Torch is good though! Drinks seemed solid and the vibes were good. Just wished the cigars were better. read more

I've been here twice and both bartenders were very rude. First bartender told me if I wanted an espresso martini I needed to order it right now or she wouldn't be making it for me (because she had the potential to get busy and was working the bar solo), second bartender was mad because she had to remake my drink she made incorrectly. Couldn't answer any questions about the ingredients in the speciality cocktails on the menu either. Skip this place, make the drive to Trevor's. read more

Prices went up significantly from already previous high prices as well. The owner is new and changed very little for the better. It is much dirtier than it ever was under the prior ownership- it was previously super clean & well kept. The music is a unapologetically loud and obnoxious- usually rap or variation of that type of music - very Bar like not a lounge to relax. The cigar selection is limited and quite expensive. You MUST buy your cigars there unless you are a member. Previously they allowed outside cigars for a $10 cutting fee. There are better alternatives all the way around. One option is only about 2 miles away On Mayo Blvd (Trevor's) and they have food available too. Skip this place for now and wait until the place improves to prior levels of cleanliness and some sanity in their pricing. Save your time and your money! To give you an idea of pricing, A Glass of Duckhorn Chardonnay - a 6 oz Pour is offered for $24.99- This is about the same price for an entire bottle of the same wine at Trevor's and you can drink the bottle there. The same bottle cost $104 Plus Tax & Tip at Torch. It's never pretended to be a wine bar but it's not really a serious Cigar bar either in my opinion. One bright spot , The servers are very enthusiastic and friendly in trying to make your visit a positive experience and have the best intentions. read more

For a person that doesn't smoke, I enjoyed my time at Torch. I went with a few friends, it was about 6 of us, to celebrate double birthdays! Virgo SZN! I love Virgos! Anyways, we where able to get a tour of the cigar room. There, we were educated on what the colors on the cigars meant, how each taste and smoke, and just random cigar facts. Each of my friends got cigars, I was just there to bask in the experience with them. They are enjoyed the green label cigars. The Java was their favorite, if I'm not mistaken. We went during Hour Hour which takes $3 off drinks. Most of us ordered the Fuego Mango (something like that). We enjoyed them! The drink was $13. I think it was worth it. My friends are drinkers lol so they each got about 2-3 drinks. If you hadn't noticed, I'm the lightweight of the group LOL After a free drinks, our server Nikki set up Corn Hole for us to play outside. Nikki is a ray of sunshine btw! Very sweet, always had a big smile, checked on us often, and very friendly! Thanks Nikki for the excellent service! We played Corn Hole for a good hour and a half lol they can be very competitive, which is always fun. Either though I don't smoke, I'd definitely come back to grab a drink or two and to play Corn Hole lol I really had a fun time and I'm looking forward to returning! read more

As soon as I walked in was greeted with friendly presence and service. I picked out two cigars and the waitress punched them for me as well as took my drink order and seated me. I'll be honest I don't often go into many cigar bars and usually I turn around and head right back out the way I came in. But Torch is certainly different and has a sophisticated yet laid-back atmospheres. The staff are very knowledgeable, polite and courteous. They have some fine cigars in their selection as well as top notch bourbons, and whiskey's. My friend dragged me in here one late one night and I was not really into it but by the end of the night I have to say I really enjoyed myself. I had a fine cigar and an excellent glass of bourbon. I highly recommend this place if you have a few hours to kill. read more

They have some great cocktails on their menu here. I also like the fact that there's so many nice and friendly customers that go in the staff you're really great at recommending different cigars. I have been searching for a great cigar lounge since I've left NYC... and found this place on accident last month when I left brunch ... anyway I went here last month and just cannot stop thinking about this place. They have a humidor where you pick your cigar or cigarillo. You find a seat nice guy comes and cute your cigars/cigarillos lights you up and takes your drink order moments later your classy drinks come out yes they make a good old fashioned and kinda just let you chill out. Great environment they have sports playing as well as good music. It's not too loud in there which is nice. The seating is cushy comfy and clean. I'm a big girl and I sank into the beautiful seats. So big girl approved! And the price? Well that's up to you and what you order. Great Service, great drinks top tier service. Cannot wait to come back. read more

Great cigar lounge. While visiting, one of the members in our party had a medical emergency. The staff was very helpful and the owners took the time out of their schedule to come to the venue to check on us. Aside from that, the environment is excellent - good bar and cigar selection. Eh. It was ok? Met my buddy here for a cigar. Here is what I liked, and what I didn't like about the place. Liked - Open space! This place has roll up doors which allow for a nice breeze to come through. The last few days in AZ have had perfect weather, and it was nice to sit inside, yet have open windows/doors all around. - Patio. HUGE patio. Didn't sit out there and smoke, but could see that spot as a nice hangout when the weather cooperates. - Friendly and helpful staff. Bartender/manager was friendly and chatted us up a little bit. - TV's- Quite a few TV's in the place. - Chairs- We sat at the bar, and the bar stools were over sized and comfortable. They had other plush chairs in the joint, too, which looked relaxing. - Bathroom- Clean restrooms and they actually have cloth towels to dry your hands with. Fancy touch! Didn't Like - Cigar selection! Out of all the lounges I have been to in the Phoenix area, this one had the skimpiest selection. Very few cigars to choose from (compared to other places like Fox, Churchill's, Magnums etc.) - Cigar pricing! Besides the lack of options, the prices were through the fucking roof! Seriously! I went with a Rocky Patel Sun Grown Toro (tube). They retail for maybe $8.00. I can see marking it up to maybe $9.50, $10.50 at most. The price here? $12.99! Yeah, $13.00 for an $8.00 cigar. Lame. I've been to places that "tax" you for enjoying the facilities, but never this much. Probably would have been better off paying the $10.00 "cutting fee" and bringing my own. I understand the location and the high rent, but still....I was shocked and a bit disappointed! Service was good, and the joint is pretty cool, but the lack of cigar options and the super high prices would keep me from ever becoming a "regular" here. read more

Very awesome bar that also happens to have cigars. It's a great place to hang out and have some great drinks even if you're not a smoker. The ventilation is top-notch, and my wife who prefers not to breath smoke said it was "perfect." They have a great selection of whiskies, particularly some great bourbons. There are a few rare ones too. They make a lot of unique cocktails also. They're not my thing, but I found their samples to be tasty. Service was great. The bartender really knew the bourbons and could help me make a great choice based on the mood I was in. Bonus that she also knew how to properly toast and light a cigar, rather than just blaze at it with a torch like some places do. read more

I may have found my cigar place in Scottsdale! The place isn't big, and they close a tad on the early side for my taste (10pm... But they will do you a solid if you are finishing your cigar and will let you stay past closing.) But I found that the service, cigar selection and service make up for both things which are minor. They're also one of the few places which have Macallan ice ball maker! One more cool thing is they have an outdoor patio which is HUGE when you have to go someplace directly afterwards and don't want to smell like smoke. I'll be visiting this place frequently :-) read more

Been to torch 8 to 10 times. Great staff and lounge but finding a fresh cigar is like winning the lottery. Not sure if inventory just doesn't move or if the humidor is shit. Either way, a cigar bar should be known for its cigars. read more

I'm not a cigar smoker, but I recently brought a friend some cigars back from Puerto Rico and wanted to find a nice spot for my friend to enjoy them.. I did a quick google search and decided to go with Torch and have 0 regrets!! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was EVERYTHING!! The music was great!! The drinks were STRONG (...for me, a social drinker) and they offer a selection of cigars inside. They do not offer food but you are welcome to bring your own in. Great place for a date, group hang out, or game night. I definitely recommend! read more

What a great place to come relax and watch the football game! They have a wonderful set up and the drinks are poured to a level of perfection. The staff is great, their drink menu is one of the best in AZ. Their cigar selection seems excellent to me, but I'm also not a cigar aficionado. Some people say the place is too bright, but I think it looks great. Chris, manager, is phenomenal. Friendly to all the guests and staff. Always makes sure that everyone is taken care of. The circulation system works wonderfully, you don't leave here smelling like a casino. I highly recommend Torch for a cigar and/or a cocktail. You won't be disappointed read more

This place has a good selection of better than average cigars, us one of the best whiskey selections around. It's spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable, plus there's a good beer bar a 2 minute walk away. Outdoor patio seating promises a great experience on those not-too-hot nights. Stopped in on a trip with my buddy and the vibe was good, wasn't too busy. They have servers coming to your table to cut and light your cigars that was nice. Humidor wasn't as big as I'd like but a good choice of cigars! I believe my bartender was Kait, she was lovely! They have a nice old fashion and good seating. Would recommend to my buddies while visiting Phoenix ! read more

This beer-focused bar isn't the easiest to find because it's underground down a stairwell. Look for the signage close to the stairwell. Ambiance (3.5/5): We sat at a booth at the bar. It's one of the few seats that have back support (which is important to me due to my old man back). Outside of that, it's all barstool seating with no back support inside. Outside, they have a small patio with chairs. That would be another option for me when the weather cooperates. The decor inside is your typical beer bar decor. Laid back. Comfortable. There's a jukebox. A cool place to grab some brews. Service (3.5/5): Two bartenders were working that evening and they were pretty solid. I did have to grab their attention a few times but no biggie. The Whining Pig has daily specials including a beer and grilled cheese combo on Wednesdays. I was curious on the price. They didn't know nor did they find out. That was a miss. Food (N/A): No food for me on this visit as I had dinner prior. They have a small menu, mostly made up of various grilled cheese sandwiches. They have a classic one, a pizza one, and a few others. I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. The types of beers you're not going to find at your neighborhood bar, including saisons and sours. The flight is served in a pig shape holder which was pretty funny. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. Added bonus: Walk down the hallway past the bathrooms and you'll run into Pigtails---a speakeasy owned by the same folks. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

Located in Desert Ridge Marketplace, there's plenty of parking though it is a busy area. As someone who has been to speakeasies all over the world, there are certain things I look for so that it's an authentic experience. Sadly, as speakeasies have become a popular thing, some have opened that don't stay true to the historical roots of what a speakeasy is. Let's see how Pigtails fares (and note: they have another location downtown. Ambiance (4/5): Speakeasies popped up during the Prohibition Era when alcohol was illegal in the U.S. Since they were underground bars, there was no signage. You had to know where to go to find it. Which is part of the experience. There should be a creative way to get into a speakeasy. This is an area where Pigtails fails. While it's somewhat hidden, there's a neon sign that says Pigtails. Dead giveaway. You walk down a flight of stairs and that takes you to the bar. When you arrive, you'll see a central bar with bar stools surrounding it. With some nice booths on the exterior. Which is where I sat. The lighting could be a little darker (after all ambiance is one of the hallmarks of a speakeasy) and the music was a bit too loud, but outside of that, nicely done. Service (4.5/5): Friendly and mostly efficient service all-around. They fill up your water cup without you asking. They provide you with helpful recommendations. And there's free WiFi which you might need because my reception wasn't great underground. You pay using one of those hand-held electronic card readers which have become super popular. This may be a pet peeve of mine but I like to see an itemized receipt before I give you my credit card. Food (N/A): I don't think they have food, but if you're hungry, The Whining Pig is attached to Pigtails and they have food there. All it takes is a short walk down a hallway to get there. Drinks (4.5/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I'm not trying to see a margarita, mojito, gin & tonic, etc. I'm trying to see creative crack cocktails that blend an interesting group of ingredients. And this is what you'll find here. Despite several cocktails not being available, there was a ton on the menu that I wanted to try. I had three cocktails on this visit including Panic at the Disco (IYKYK), and one that was served in a clear tea cup with a huge ice cube (and earl gray tea was one of the ingredients). Exactly what I was hoping for. While the "Pigtails" signage outside of the speakeasy was disappointing, these rest of the experience was terrific.

Service was good, food took a little while but it was beautiful on the patio so we didn't mind enjoying our time together. Food was okay. The tri tip kabob was a 10/10. Guac was good, their specialty chicken dish was not my favorite and my wife got the chicken tacos which she thought were decent. Overall it was fine, wasn't bad but wasn't worth the price.

However, the club's staff--specifically the security and bouncers--handled the situation with outstanding speed, professionalism, and care. While dancing, an unknown individual came up from behind me, inappropriately grabbed my body, and attempted to put his arms around me. My husband intervened immediately to physically remove the patron from my body. Once freed, while my husband was speaking with the individual, I went straight to the nearest security personnel to report the incident. The response from the Blue Martini staff was immediate and flawless: * The security team I spoke to instantly took the situation seriously, ensuring my safety first and showing genuine concern. * They listened attentively to my report. * The bouncers quickly located the aggressor, who was promptly and permanently removed from the premises. In a situation that was shocking and unsettling, knowing that the staff at Blue Martini is trained, prepared, and willing to take decisive action against harassment and assault made a huge difference. Their effective and swift response deserves significant recognition. It's clear that Blue Martini prioritizes the safety and well-being of its patrons. If you are looking for a venue where staff actively addresses and removes individuals who cross boundaries, this club sets an excellent standard. The Mighty Axe, if the name didn't give it away, is both a bar and an axe throwing place. While I haven't done any axe throwing, I've checked out the area where it's located (the back of the bar).
