Love this place! Stop by for a quick drink or snack. Service is quick. Manny is super kind and always makes us feel welcomed. Prices can be alittle steep (especially the food) but it's worth it to just sit down and enjoy a drink with friends. Beer slush is a must try, it's sweet and tangy and is perfect to cool off on a hot day.

Great after work HH spot by the SF ferry building. A few long tables & benches out front for those who want to soak up some sun & standing tables inside for those seeking shade. Decent selection of drinks. They do offer some food but I've never tried them. There's also plenty of food options all around the ferry building if you just want a quick drink here before/after a bite to eat.

Food - This is the only reason why they get 4 stars instead of 5. I wish they had like 1 more item on the food menu since it feels wrong to bring outside food. Service - It's a walk up kiosk situation and they have some crop points for you to bus your own table. Ambiance - Great location and lots of people-watching opportunities since it's at the front of the building facing west. Most of their seating is covered so you are thankfully out of the sun. It has a simple brewery industrial vibe that's pretty photogenic. Dog - This is one of the few places we can be responsible dog owners at the Ferry Building. Dogs aren't allowed inside but the setup of this place allows us to bring the dog without feeling like entitled heathens.

Walked by this fort point and my friend said she tried their yuzu beer recently and loved it! We stopped by to see if they had it and they did. The person at the front generously let me sample it before actually buying and I fell in love. I went from a sample to a glass to bringing home a 4 pack lol

What's going on? First, a bar. Now a beer company?! It's not what you think, things haven't dampened me to the bottle or beer. A friend who is a Tuesday farmer's market regular generously offered and bought me a hot dog. Thinking that I knew the INS and outs of the Ferry Building, said friend showed me this place. My friend walked to the counter of this stand next to the new doggie boutique store and ordered me a fancy hot dog (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=YFagMouzbYC6zLNIxpjjIQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); getting the beef dog, the menu describes this as including housemade kraut, mustard, and fancy sauce. The cashier asked whether we wanted it spicy which we both said yes. The stoneground mustard along with the bite (chewiness) of the dog paired well with the delicious bun. This definitely ain't no Costco hot dog, pardon my grammar. I enjoyed this and it was a perfect accompaniment to my salad in the office for lunch. In studying the food menu, there are a couple of other items that I'd like to try so, perhaps in the next couple of weeks, I may be posting more photos of their foods. About the beer, well, as mentioned, I'm not a beer kind of guy so I'll leave that to others.

Having a beer at the Ferry Building in San Francisco is a great way to relax on a hot Summer day. I enjoyed their Animal beer. I also enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere.

Beer is always best fresh, and I thoroughly enjoyed my weekday lunch visit. It's basically just a kiosk take out window in front of the Ferry Building. Lots of seating, both in the shade and in the sun. They have maybe 8 taps plus a decent selection of cans. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so the bartender was nice enough to walk me through a few different beers with samples and descriptions. I settled on the ANIMAL IPA with my empanada.

Great location for Fort Point Brewery. One problem is that they run out of beer all the time!!! I make up for that with a Beef Pie from next door.

Super appreciated the covered seating area. Perfect after getting caught in the rain. Had a hot dog, ruffle chips with green goddess dip, delicious!

Great location for a brewery! Loved spending an early Friday evening sitting outside of the market and listening to live music with a drink. The yuzu beer was great!

Maybe it was because it was my birthday weekend. Maybe because it was a beautiful day. Maybe, just maybe, it was the beer! Oh heck yeah! The beer was so so so gooooooood. Yes! Say it with a long O sound like you mean it! Seriously, delicous and refreshing and oh so good. I forget what my man and I ordered, but hot dang, delicous. We took the ferry over from Mare Island and I was excited they were open. The seating area is a perfect alcove to sit back and watch the farmers market activities. The backdrop of beer cans covering the wall are a perfect photo op. The service, friendly and fast. I did see they were serving hot dogs, but we just had beer. If you ever visit the ferry building, come here. Drink beer, be happy. Lots of love to everyone, Cheers and Happy Yelping!

Ask the Community - Fort Point Ferry Building

Are you doing growler fills during COVID?

We are not offering growler fills during the pandemic. We do have six-packs to-go if you'd like to pick up some beer for take-away!

Can you buy a six pack or is it all just on tap?

Both! You can purchase six-packs to go, and enjoy beer on draft at our location. You can also purchase a growler and do growler fills of our draft beers to take with you as well!

I remember going there a couple of times and the setting is timeless - the only thing new is post covid-19 are the outdoor parklets for outdoor dining. The vibe is great, a feel of being transported to a neighborhood German bar restaurant, somewhere in Bavaria if you dined in. The staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable of all the great dishes that is truly German. I ended up having sausages and fries with my draft fruh Kolsch beer. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a place like this as it is lively but not loud, cozy but not cramped, and always buzzing with good energy, from the staff through to most of the patrons on any given night. The menu is a greatest-hits tour of German comfort food. The deviled eggs are a must to start your meal and the wienerschnitzel is my personal go‑to as it is crispy, moist, and so flavorful every time I've had it. The jägerschnitzel is another standout if you are feeling something a little lighter and saucier as it rich and savory in all the right ways, and the sausages are always banging and perfect alongside a big stein of beer. It's the kind of food that feels made for long conversations and slow sipping. What really elevates Suppenküche, though, is the people. The staff are super friendly and clearly know their stuff, always ready with a beer recommendation or a menu suggestion and the patrons tend to match that vibe; if you end up at the bar or sharing a table, which is pretty common if you come with a small group, you're likely to find yourself chatting with someone new before long. There's honestly no better way to make new friends in SF than bonding over schnitzel and a great German beer at Suppenküche.

Metro Caffe has two fake meat options for their sandwiches, either a Boca or a garden burger patty that's chopped up and grilled with cheese and onions! There's a few extra options to add as toppings: extra cheese, extra meat, peppers, avocado, mushrooms, etc. as well as burgers, hot dogs and a good range of sides. I decided to try the Boca burger cheesesteak sandwich while my partner got the turkey. The first thing we noticed was how amazingly soft the bread was, a big difference compared to other cheesesteak restaurants. The sandwiches also aren't huge and overfilled.... which surprisingly is what we prefer! We were able to eat everything and didn't feel like we had taken a bomb to our stomachs, which usually happens after a big cheese filled sandwich. On top of that, the sandwiches were delicious. The grilled onions were good and the cheese melted well and got into all the bits of the sandwich and meat fillings. Our food came out piping hot but not so bad that we had to wait too long before we could eat. The shop is small but there's indoor and outdoor seating and it's close to a few parks and bars that will let you bring in food. Service was quick and the workers were nice and friendly. Definitely a great replacement for the cheesesteak shops we've been losing lately, we're definitely returning!
