    Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup
    Stephanie G.

We stopped in here for dinner. We were seated outside pretty quickly. It was a beautiful night in San Francisco. Our waiter took our order and answered all our questions. We ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup from the specials menu, a smash burger with fries, and a Cali Chicken Club plus a Fog City Hazy IPA. We all enjoy our meals. The food is good and simple. The Fog City Hazy IPA was very enjoyable.

Great bar. Catch a game. Tasty hot fries. Solid choice!! I was grateful to find a spot to catch the ballgame and grab a drink or two before venturing out into the wild with the family

I stopped in on 6/12/2026 for one quick beer as I wasn't feeling the best. I couldn't visit San Francisco without trying some local beer. I had a 10 oz their Hazy IPA which was delicious. Had I been able to stay longer I would have definitely tried some food and additional brews. They had plenty of TVs around the bar which was great to watch the current World Cup games.

Very disappointed with the service that we received during our visit. We arrived on a late Saturday afternoon and were sat outside by the host. Before we were even greeted by our actual server (who was great btw), my boyfriend encountered a very hostile employee who antagonized him for getting self-serve water. While he was grabbing water for us, this worker kept pestering him asking him where he's seated at and if he's sitting inside or outside with the utmost amount of attitude. My bf is not confrontational whatsoever so he was super confused as to why this server was pressing him over grabbing water for himself. We saw other patrons grabbing water hence the reason why we grabbed some for ourselves as well. We were trying to figure out if maybe the worker was like that because he was planning to grab the waters for us..? Or if he was assuming we were random people grabbing water. Either way, it's WATER and there are a million other ways he could have approached the situation. I would come back to this establishment but will only be sitting inside or at the bar from now on which is disappointing because they have a beautiful outdoor seating area with live music. Unfortunately it just isn't worth it when workers like that make for an uncomfortable experience.

    Pumpkin spice lager

As part of my vacations, I always try to visit local breweries and I stumbled upon this brewery. Once inside, the ambiance was welcoming. People in there were having a great time and enjoying their spirits while also watching the TV displays. This brewery is hidden but it is right next to ghirardelli chocolate experience building. They also offer outdoor seating with a nice patio and public restrooms around the corner. As I browsed their beer menu, I noticed they had the "Pumpkin Spice Lager" seasonal and so I ordered it! Oh man, subtle flavors of pumpkin not overwhelming and the rim was made out of brown sugar and cinnamon; very fall vibes!! I loved it so much that I was sad to know it is only a seasonal beer. I went to the bar area to order my beer and service went well. Staff was friendly and approachable.

We came in for dinner after checking out the Ghirardelli shop. My phone was about to die and they were able to sit us next to a plug to charge which was a huge plus and ultimately why we chose to eat here. It is a brewery so it's a fun atmosphere with a pool table, games, TVs everywhere playing sports and seems like a fun place to hang out. The food was good, nothing amazing but good. My daughter's cheeseburger was huge for a kids meal so she was excited to have leftovers. My biggest issue was the service. The hostess was amazing and kept coming over to check on us. But our actual server seemed bothered that we were there. He came by to take our order and seemed like he didn't want to be there then he disappeared. We ended up walking to the bar for drink refills, to go boxes, and ranch. It also took forever to get our bill because he wouldn't even walk near our table. I had to flag him down.

    calamari
    Yan L.

Surprisingly, one of the best taste in calamari I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, super soft where you don't even have to chew, and the breading was amazing. Pair that with one of the beers they brew in house and you've got yourself a perfect night. The atmosphere is great with firepits and heat lamps keeping you warm, i have absolutely no complaints (and i usually do). Perfect amount of the little octopus dudes to rings ratio, where you don't feel jipped, but also not overwhelmed by the feeling of eating a lil baby octopus. What else can I say, I had an amazing meal, beer, and night. 5/5 get the calamari.

The vibes here are so nice! Came during sunset time for a round of drinks with friends. I ordered the stout and split the nachos and garlic fries with friends. We were sat outside on benches where there was string lights and by nighttime, it was lit so cutely. My friends and I sat here for about 2 hours and chatted while drinking. I only had one drink but everyone seemed to have been enjoying themselves. Drinks were $14-$15 which was fair given the location. Service is super kind and attentive. We asked our waiter for different recommendations and he did not disappoint! I enjoyed my drink and the food choices he recommended. The menu is a bit limited on food items so this may not be the best place for dinner but more so a place to catch up with friends and hangout. The drink selection is huge and there is something for everyone! There is a beer flight option for those who want variety :)

    Erica K.

Stopped by here for an event and if not for that, I wouldn't be caught dead at a brewery because I don't like to drink beer-the taste of it just isn't for me. However, the menu has something for everyone and I actually had a hard time deciding between the Strawberry Dreams/Sierra Nevada Trail Pass Golden/Willy Wonka Wildberry Blast Sour and eventually landed on the first drink without the alcohol aspect. My drink had a nice balance of tart and fruity sweetness, surprisingly no remnants of fake sweetness, so I appreciate that I wasn't entirely drinking juice. I'd recommend San Francisco Brewing for its close proximity to In N Out, Aquatic Park, and Ghirardelli! Truly an underrated yet must stop if you're in the area and don't have the privilege of going out to the Vineyards!

Good spot to grab food and some beers. The patio is super nice so recommend sitting outside. The inside ain't bad either. The pizza was good, the beer was good and so was the weather. Took some beers home and called it a day.

Lovely little brewery located within Ghirardelli Square! Outdoor, spacious seating, excellent service and live music on the weekends. Great beer options and bites. Recommend stopping by for a flight!

Nothing fancy about this place. Kind of a low end bar feeling. Stopped by to try a local beer or two and ended up only having one. Wasn't really feeling this place. The food looked subpar for the prices and we knew there were better places in the area. The beer was fine and the bartender was friendly.

What originally started as a disappointment became a huge blessing once we found the board room. Feet aching, sweaty, and tired we made our way to this bar. Immediately you could tell it's a local favorite, the ambiance was nice and a great spot to people-watch. There was a cup flipping event which was super fun to spectate, along side the rotating pictures of the bar's beloved pooches . We ordered 2 western burgers, 12 count bone-in wings (half bbq, half Hawaiian), and an appetizer of corn dogs, tater tots, bacon Mac & cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks. Later we also added boneless buffalo wings which were so tangy, well-seasoned, and HOT. The western bacon burgers were so delicious, crispy bacon, crispy onion rings, and some bomb.com bbq sauce. The wings were drowned in sauce (just how we like them) , the bbq was to die for and the Hawaiian had the perfect little kick of spice for our picky eaters. The appetizer platter was also fried to perfection, with the perfect crunch on the tater tots & corn dogs. The Mac & cheese bites & mozzarella sticks were perfectly cheesed, with an amazing cheese pull on the mozzarella sticks. Along with the food, my boyfriend and I ordered some drinks. I got a margarita and he got a Guinness. Both drinks were good, very standard and well served. The couple behind the bar were very funny and super kind to us being dazed after all the walking. It's also a cool destination for friends visiting from out of town. It's hard to pass up hanging out at the oldest bar in San Francisco, made partially from parts of a shipwreck! It has that classic, old-timey neighborhood bar feel without feeling overly touristy. The staff is always so nice and welcoming! The drinks are great (I think I've had most of the cocktail menu at this point), and the food is delicious. My favorite cocktail would have to be the Pimm's Cup, though it's hard to choose just one. Food-wise, we've had the burger (mine with a Beyond patty), the patty melt, chicken mole nachos, quesadilla, chili, clam chowder, and mac & cheese--can you tell we come here a lot? I haven't personally tried the meats, but the mole sauce on the chicken mole nachos is delicious, almost as good as the mole my parents make. The burger is so good and is my usual go-to, with sweet potato fries. I'd say we've tried a good majority of the menu at this point, and we've never been disappointed. I highly recommend it for a chill night with friends or to watch a game. There's also a small outdoor area that's great if you're looking for a quieter evening.
