I recently discovered CAVA and have been on a mission to find a better option because of the inconsistent service and portions at CAVA. Hummus Way so far has been the answer to finding a much better CAVA. This place looks like it could be a franchise but it's not yet. You get larger portion with quality ingredients. VEGAN friendly and they cook their falafel to order so you're getting the fresher bowel/wraps. I love supporting Mom and Pop places like this. Hope you give it a try.

Food and service are exceptional! It's a gem in the neighborhood. We had food catered for a family event and it was a huge hit. Healthy food meets tasty colorful presentation. Because we enjoyed the taste so much we went to their restaurant to have lunch onsite. Tucked away; Quaint little place. Definitely recommend. Super tasty and fresh!

I came here with a couple of my coworkers and it was our first time here. We came at a good time when it wasn't busy and there were maybe two or three tables occupied. There were a couple customers who came to get takeout and left while we were checking out the various menus. We ordered our food at the register and Carlos bought our plates out to us. Carlos was very kind and explained all of the menu options. You can build your own bowl or wraps or choose from different combinations. Carlos gave us samples of the different types of lemonade, which I found all refreshing. My favorite was the peach drink. I got the number one combo of chicken and ground sirloin kebab. Honestly, for the price point, I thought it was on the higher end for quick service type of food. Next time, I think I'll try the bowls or wrap which is a little more work lunch friendly for my wallet. As for the taste, my favorite part of my entrée was the hummus, and the salad was good. The beef was flavorful, but the texture was a little different than I'm used to but not in a bad way. The chicken was all right and seasoned nicely. The portions seemed a little small for the price. My coworkers said they liked their meals and we would come back. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and it was clean and inviting. Carlos was very engaging as there were no other customers that came after us right away. He was so kind and friendly and gave us coupons to return. We will put Hummus Way on our lunch rotation and bring our other coworkers.

Chicken and ground sirloin kabob. Chicken wrap. Clean food and hospitable place. Really loved the food.

Clean food and hospitable service. Really loved the food. Will definitely make it my Go to!

It was my first time here and it's officially my new favorite Mediterranean spot! I created my own bowl with paprika and turmeric shawarma and a handful of fresh toppings. There's so much variety of protein and toppings to choose from and they give generous portions too. It also came with fresh warm pita on the side. The worker was super friendly and genuine and this place deserves more recognition! There's adequate seating inside and the interior remind me of an aquarium! Highly recommend this spot!

The food here is AHHHMAZING! I can't believe it took us so long to come here! The portions are huge too. We like to share a kabab plate and add an extra skewer. It's easily become our new favorite Mediterranean spot. The service is also incredible! The owner is so attentive, and welcoming - he couldn't have been friendlier. It's a local gem for sure!

My sister and I live nearby and happened to see it while driving. We were craving Mediterranean one day and remembered this place. The service was amazing. Portion sizes were worth the price. Everything was fresh and flavorful. This place will definitely become part of our local favorites.

Great place with great service and authentic food. Came here for lunch and got the bowl with Shawarma. It was really good and worth the price. They have so many spice and flavor options, it may get a little confusing but the staff were so good with recs. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Chicken bowl - the fried garbanzo shells were a delight

The freshness and quantity at Hummus Way is hard to beat. The roasted eggplant was better than that of my usual go-to (CAVA) and the fried garbanzo garnish was a genuine surprise. I didn't know garbanzo beans could taste light and airy. Carlos provided me expert service with efficiency and care. He even offered me a coupon of a free drink with entree. Though I don't like lemonade, I will be returning here for a takeout option that ensures I get leftovers for the next day.

Beautiful presentation, great variety of textures and tasty!!!! GO FOR IT!

So glad me and wife came in tonight in Good Friday. I enjoyed meeting and chatting with the 3 kind gentlemen, I can tell they care for their food quality, presentation and customer satisfaction. The platter was not only beautiful but great taste and texture, soooo enjoyable. I would recommend trying this place, it's in a small plaza nearby freeway so the traffic and signs can test your patience, but please know that when you arrive it will be WORTH IT.... enjoy Hummus Way like we did. Thumbs up.

Service was fast and friendly. Parking was a breeze. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the owner was very informative about the menu and their current specials. We opted for a BYO and their grilled fish special. Both were delicious and very filling. We were able to try a variety of hummus flavors and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The lemon artichoke was my favorite. They also had vegan sauces available, too! Will be back to try other items!

5 s shout out to Carlos good food and service! Highly recommend

From the two, the gully smash was our favorite--it's like a classic smash burger but the addition of pastrami enhanced it! The Bhangra smash was definitely different than any burger I've had before but you can definitely tell the south Asian influences in this one. The burgers were both enjoyable, however, they were on the oily side and felt a bit heavy. I'd say prices here were also pretty steep for what you're getting. I'd say that this is a great option for halal burgers, but I think if you're not restricted to eating halal meat, there are burger options that I like more. The restaurant itself is in a food court that has a decent amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. Service here is friendly and you could really tell that they're passionate about their food here (which is always positive points in my book).

I can't recall the name but it was very tasty, fresh, and delicious. The food came out quickly and tasted amazing, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the rice was flavorful. I enjoy the roasted tomatoes as well as the jalapeno on the side. It brought even more flavor and texture to the meal. Located on 1st in Santa Ana near Tustin, there's a wrought iron fence around the private lot, and the restaurant is open until 9pm most nights. I was surprised nobody was dining in, and except for a woman waiting for her takeout order to be made, I was the only person for most of the visit. I quickly realized the phone rings often, so most business is ordered ahead, with the option to eat there, in the car, or take home. Clearly, for presentation and likely quantity, I recommend eating there. The host is a nice older gentleman who literally does it all, and is so good it hardly seems like he's working. My Shish kabob plate came out faster than expected, and I was almost as impressed with the salad as the saffron rice and actual kabob, which is tender and amazing by the way. Basically, you pick a drink from the refrigerator, and I let him talk me into trying hummus, and appetizer, which ultimately comes with cut flatbread. His take is less creamy than other restaurants, but the flavors are fresh, without garlic. Don't worry, the salad dressing is a fantastic creamy Italian style. All-in-all, I was enjoying every bite and pretty much ate everything, although I preserved some hummus to eat at home. The price was commiserate with the quality, and I suppose I'll try more when I'm around the area.

Several beer pitchers in @ HACHI (just next door-shout out to them)-- for a celebration of a breakup, the end of midterms, or simply the triumph of continuing to exist (in THIS economy?? were all needing to praise ourselves for simply surviving) -- we found ourselves drawn, like moths to a fluorescently lit flame, to Halal Guys. Now listen. The food? Solid. Reliable. The kind of food that understands you are not here for nuance. You are here because life has punched you in the throat and you require a plate of rice, chicken, gyro meat, and mysterious white sauce to spiritually stabilize. I used to go to the OG one in NYC when i was getting punched in the throat there too. (PUNCHED IN THE THROAT BY ACADEMIA, FIGURATIVELY, y'all haver crazy imaginations outthere). BUT it;s the people... It's always the people... The staff. My siblings in falafel... it was 10 PM. You could feel the collective energy of "we have been serving drunk people since sunset and you are the 437th group tonight explaining your breakup story while pointing at the menu." Not judging, just warmth and the quiet aura of people who have seen things. Who have witnessed humanity at its lowest point: ordering extra hot sauce and then immediately regretting it. First Impressions (1/5) When I walked in, there was only one person working, handling the fryer, the register, and assembling plates. I genuinely felt bad for her, especially considering the steady line forming. What We Got (2/5) I ordered a regular plate, which is what I usually get at Halal Guys. Nothing customized or complicated, just the standard order I have had many times before at other locations. Taste and Quality (0/5) The food was shockingly bad. The rice was raw and crunchy, which was hard to believe at first. The meat pieces were tiny and very chewy, and the pita bread was extremely soggy. On top of that, it was only around 4 pm and the usual spinning meat and grill were not even on, despite the line picking up. Service (2/5) The worker was clearly trying her best, but one person running everything in a busy location is not realistic. She was constantly running back and forth between the fryer and the line, which made the whole operation feel chaotic and slow. Space and Atmosphere (3/5) The space itself was fine and what you would expect from Halal Guys. Clean enough, but nothing stood out positively enough to offset the food experience. Was It Worth It (0/5) Not at all. As someone who is pretty frugal and almost always finishes their meals, I could not finish this plate. It genuinely felt like a waste of $18. Final Thoughts This location does not seem to be held to the same standards as other Halal Guys in the area. This experience was disappointing from start to finish.

The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! Could be a little less salty. Gulab jamun cheesecake Also asked for recommendations for their cheesecakes and decided to go with this one. It has the fried donut ball in the middle with syrup. It didn't taste too sweet to me, but I also have higher tolerance for sweets. The center has so much of the cheesecake cheese and it was super soft and fluffy. So delicious! The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. There was enough parking. The staff members are so helpful and very friendly. Can order with a staff member or using their kiosk. HIGHLY recommend!! Would definitely go back!
