This is a very good Chinese food restaurant. They were closed for a few weeks and when they re-opened their food was even better than before. This is an order off the menu restaurant. I had the Beef and Broccoli lunch which was delicious. The beef was very tender and the broccoli had a great flavor. My spring roll was also very good. Everyone at my table was pleased with their food. Their daily lunch special is from 11am until 3pm. They are closed on Tuesday. If you are in the Louisa area and interested in a meal of Chinese food be sure to try Hunan Best in Louisa. read more

Had not tried this place in 25 yrs always went to other local spot but when they were closed on Monday decided to give them a try. Service was prompt and courteous. Shrimp fried rice, fresh and delicious. Atmosphere and dining area are the best in the area. Definitely hidden in this shopping center and exceeded my expectations. If you haven't been here in a while -it's a must try. They even have adult and kid friendly chopsticks for sale. As you can see the interior is clean and inviting but not as busy as it should be. Food is very Americanized. Flavors seem to have taken on the flavors we see repeated at Sheetz, McDonald's and the list keeps on growing.

I absolutely love this place. It's the best Chinese food restaurant in the area, and I think one of the best in Virginia. Yes, it's Americanized Chinese food. General Tso's Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli, etc. BUT it's the best darn Americanized Chinese food! I've been going here for years and years, even when it was half the size, with tiny little booths that you half sunk into. Now, it's a bright, classy, amazing restaurant where the service is amazing, the food is yummy, and the prices are downright awesome. And it's family owned! I recommend this place for dining in or for quick takeout. Their lunch buffet is super cheap, and goes from 11am to 2:30pm on weekdays. They're good for small or large parties; very accommodating. DON'T ORDER ONLINE FROM BEYONDMENU. They have no relationship with Hunan Best. My access to that site was acquired after google search sent to wikipedia headline then website *which Hunan Best has none, but I didn't know" then order online. After placing order including payment method, I arrived at restaurant to learn that the restaurant had no information or order. The food is good, standard American Chinese. Hunan Best's owner and employees quickly remedied the situation with spurious BeyondMenu scam, above & beyond the call. read more

The buffet turned out to be the way to go for our first visit here so we could sample. Enjoyed every bite! There were several interesting vegetable stir-fry dishes to balance the meat choices. The heat in the General Tso's Chicken was well done, and none of the spicy dishes were overly hot. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The prices are good, especially if you are used to those of a larger metropolitan area. We will definitely return for à la carte dining. The fortunes in the fortune cookies were good, too! read more

We have gone here many times, today was not a good day. Lunch was cold. There whole lunch bar was sparse and cold. There soup was hot, bot seemed a bit watered down. Waitress kept sweeping around our table. We won't be back. read more

My family & I are fans of Hunan Best. We have been goin here since the day the doors opened a few yrs back. I haveyet to get anything horrible and the management always strives to make our dining there very favorable! I got take out on Friday night and got chicken lo mein, General Tao's chicken, triple delight, egg rolls and spring rolls. Overall the meal was alright. Nothing fancy but good Chinese food considering it was in louisa. A bit pricey for the quality. read more
