Interesting place! Food is second tier! It's more of a meeting place than a gourmet! Service is good if AAron is working! Old old old ambience!

Fries were greasy and very soggy. I was disappointed because I had a few good experiences with this place before this.

Yummy yummy in my tummy. We're on our way to Luray and were hungry so we found this off the freeway. Service was quick and the ladies were so friendly. The diner is a little old looking on the inside, but the bar stools were really cool. Very retro. I got a coffee with multiple refills and blueberry pancakes. When the pancakes came out, they didn't look like they had too many blueberries in them but they were hiding. They were so full of fresh blueberries and they were so good. They had butter and jams on the table and brought out maple syrup. I only used butter. A lot of butter. It was perfect. It came with three pancakes and I ate them all. Idk what hubby got but he ate all his too. I'd definitely come back here if we're in the area again. Maybe on the way home.

I have come to be a fan of this local joint. Don' judge a book by its cover. We went for dinner this time. Tried the Meatloaf and Chicken Fried Steak. Both were excellent. Just a little dive with home cooked food. I will be here often.

Food was good, small town diner vibes. Plenty of parking, they don't bring you your check so you go to the register afterwards to pay.

The potato fries, the rubbery turkey patty and the cheese omelet. Not appetizing to the eye.

This restaurant advertises breakfast all day. It is noon, we ordered breakfast. It was terrible! The pancakes were rubbery and almost impossible to cut with a knife. None ate them. I ordered a cheese omelet with potato fries and turkey sausage. The omelet was drenched in oil. I was served big chunks of potatoes with a ton of burnt potato bits. I was also served two turkey patties ate one and could not stomach the second as the texture was rubbery and the taste was off. I really don't know if I ate sausage or something else. I left a note to the kitchen with suggestions of what to improve. I think this is the first time I feel the need to do such thing. The server was cordial and diligent, thank you. The ambiance is the one of an old dinner in need of freshness, but was seemingly clean. Below is a picture of the potatoes and the patty. I ate the cheese omelet and the excess of grease in my stomach is making me regret the decision.

Great food and definitely worth the money. We had excellent customer service. It was a little warm inside but I run hot so that's it.

Not fancy. The food has never disappointed. They recently cleaned the place up but the bathrooms are still disgusting.

Down home food and friendly service. Has a very homey feel. Sometimes a little slow filling orders but not a very large staff.

I grabbed a shopping cart and my son was excited to jump in and help me pick out all of the goodies. I grabbed handmade cheese balls, classic old-time candy for our gingerbread house, pretzels stuffed with peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies that were proudly advertised as having no additives or preservatives. Don't worry, these cookies didn't last more than 5 minutes with my kids. Outside, there is a fun petting zoo, where you can buy feed and raise it up on a conveyer belt to feed the goats. Also, there are playgrounds that are fantastic. They're also available to buy but so nice the kids could experience such a high quality play set while I shopped. It was one of our highlights in visiting Madison.

Their menu was quite large, with hot dogs, cold subs, hot sandwiches, and paninis listed. They also feature a couple soups daily. When we went, they had a loaded baked potato soup and a lobster bisque. The young girl working the front was very happy and helpful and gave some good suggestions too. The place is quaint, with several tables and lots of historic signs on the walls. We started with their baked potato soup - The overall flavor was nice. But the potatoes in it were rubbery, like they used the wrong type of potato or maybe over-cooked it. Also, the soup was just warm, far from being served hot. Next up were the sandwiches - I chose the BBQ chicken sandwich, which had thinly sliced chicken breast on it, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and onions. The sandwich was pressed, like a panini and was pretty good. I liked the smokiness of the BBQ sauce. I also got a bottle of their homemade root beer and it was pretty good. They serve Route 11 potato chips, which are my favs! So, I had to pick up a bag of Mama Zuma for later - those things are spicey, hot, and tasty! Overall, it's a nice spot, I can see them being a popular lunch spot downtown.
