    Shrimp hibachi

We came as a party of 7 to sit outside on a busy Friday night. Ambiance was nice and it was very lively, but we enjoyed being able to sit outside and have a view of the water. The service was rather slow, but again, it was a busy night and they had lots of takeout orders. Drinks were not great, definitely recommend getting beer or wine and not a mixed drink. Our entrees came first and they forgot our salads/soups that came with the hibachi, but we told our waiter and he brought them out shortly after. The hibachi was really tasty and flavorful, the filet/shrimp combo was a hit. Didn't come out very hot though. We all thought it was a little odd that there was corn mixed in the fried rice for a hibachi meal? But not a huge deal. Veggies were also very flavorful. We got some sushi dishes as well that were decent! Pretty good portions and overall a solid meal, just don't come to expect quick service on a bus weekend night. I've had the takeout before and it was delicious.

Surprisingly good sushi/hibachi spot in Lake Anne. The place was packed to the gills on a Saturday night, but we were able to get a table outside before too long. Unsurprisingly, our dinner took a while, but service was good and friendly and the sushi was nice.

Asia Cafe is the consistently best restaurant we have found at Lake Anna. Other restaurants have come and gone, but Asia Cafe has remained. This tells me that the owners don't just know how to make and serve great food. They also know how do run a business. This combination is not often found around the lake. I have had their hibachi dinners as well as their sushi and appetizers. Everything has been very good.

Asian Cafe is a go to for us when visiting Lake Anna. We often get just 1 dinner as it is more than enough for two people to share. Dinners come with choice of soup or salad (with ginger dressing), fried rice, and vegetables. We typically order steak but their combos (e.g. steak/chicken, chicken/shrimp, etc.) are good too. Be sure to allow for 30 minutes if ordering take out on a weekend; the place stays very busy. Tables are always full and to go orders line the counter during the summer season.

    Missing proper fish

Questioned them trying to pass off different fish in a roll that was supposed to have salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. The roll was only a single white flaky fish. I was told the chef used a cut of white salmon that was fatty (not a thing) and a type of white tuna. Very offputting and couldnt even finish my meal. Second roll had what looked like canned tuna. Take your money elsewhere since theyre obviously taking advantage of unsuspecting customers.

We have since returned home to our rural community in Virginia, and went to Sabor A Mexico for an early dinner. The waitress immediately brought us a basket of their complimentary fresh tortilla chips, and their homemade (excellent) salsa. Per our usual habit, we split our entrees. I ordered a grilled taco plate ($12.47) which features three flour tacos, with choice of meat, refried beans, rice, homemade pico de gallo, and another sauce (tasty, but not sure what it was). I got one each of chicken, carnitas (pork) and carne asada (steak) tacos. My husband predictably? got a taco salad ($9.62) with ground beef, refried beans, iceberg lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, and sour cream, served in a deep fried shell. All of the food was tasty and was as authentic as the Mexican food we ate in Tucson. Quantities were excellent. I couldn't eat "my half", and turned the plate back to my husband to finish off. Our waitress was attentive, checking on us regularly to see if we needed anything. A few small quibbles -- we prefer a salsa with some chunks in it; this one was over-processed for our preference. Also, the pico de gallo was more liquidy than we'd prefer. It made the rest of the food a bit wet. Beyond the restaurant's control, taxes are high at 11.3%, with the town of Mineral getting 6% whereas the state of Virginia gets 5.3%. We enjoy this restaurant, and will return.

There were three young ladies serving, but they seemed more preoccupied with sipping their Frappuccinos than taking care of the customers. We were given water, but then had to wait for our beer because they disappeared outside. We waited again to place our order, and then waited a long time for our food. When the pizza finally arrived, it came without a plate. We had to ask for one while the server was busy chatting with the other young ladies. The service was simply horrible. As for the food, the ravioli were undercooked and the pizza was very average. We left extremely disappointed and will never return. AND... be aware of their rating! Feb, 2026. Louisa, VA. My husband and I visited Roma Italian Restaurant on a Saturday for lunch;…read morethis was our first visit to this restaurant. We were greeted quickly, and shown to our booth seats quickly. We asked (and were accommodated) to move over one booth as the original booth had a speaker with loud music directly over our heads. Food (3.5/5). We would be sharing our entrees, so I ordered a Mediterranean Salad ($11.95) to balance out my husband's heavier choice of the Tour of Italy ($21.95). The latter was described as a plate with lasagna, manicotti, cannelloni, and a shell, with meat sauce and baked cheese, served with a homemade roll and your choice of soup, salad, or French fries. The large oval plate arrived with three pieces of tubular pasta and a slice of lasagna covered with sauce and melted cheese (but no filled shell). The tubular pasta pieces were filled with a variety of meat and/or cheese fillings. Overall, the taste was very good; we especially liked the meat-filled pasta. However, the consistency of two of the pastas were very dry and were lightly cracking and the size of the lasagna slice was on the smaller side. My husband selected the French fries as his side; they were excellent -- and were served hot and crispy before the rest of the meal. As mentioned, I ordered the Mediterranean salad, which was described as having mixed greens, tomato, feta, green and black olives, onions, and mushrooms, with choice of dressing. I was already surprised that a Mediterranean salad wouldn't have cucumbers and garbanzo beans, but was even more surprised when the salad arrived with cold cuts (salami, pepperoni, ham) and mozzarella cheese slivers (and no feta). It resembled more of a chef salad (sans the eggs) than the Mediterranean one described on the menu. Upon asking the waitress if this were a Mediterranean salad, she went back to the kitchen where she was assured that it was. I am not a vegetarian, but some family members are, and this would've been a big problem if served to them. Overall, the salad was okay but I WAS disappointed by the substitution of mozzarella cheese for the feta, the use of canned mushrooms in lieu of fresh, and by the lack of some ingredients (cucumbers, garbanzo beans) that generally are associated with a Mediterranean salad. On the positive side, the salad dressing, served separately, was homemade and tasty. [The restaurant makes seven varieties of dressing which are available for purchase for $7.95 for a pint]. Overall, the portions were generous (except for the lasagna piece) and we took home leftovers to eat tomorrow. Service (3/5). Our waitress was sweet and tried to be helpful, but it seemed that she was rather new and not sufficiently trained. For instance, she had to return to the front of the restaurant to find out what the specials of the day were, and couldn't answer some questions about what entrees would be served with. There was free and plentiful parking in the strip mall's lot. Access was easy off E. Main Street. We will return again, likely to try their pizza and cheesesteaks.
