I took my team here for lunch - their choice. But seriously can you go wrong with a Chinese Buffet?! I found the buffet worthy!! There were several of my favorites that I had to put on my plate; General Tso Chicken, Sesame Chicken, dumplings, & Beef & Broccoli! I did two plates just so I could fulfill all of my favorites. To end the meal had to have the ice cream & almond cookies. Not that I'll be passing through Ponca City anytime soon but this would be worth a stop in for lunch or dinner! read more

Service was great. Food was just ok. However. The filthy restrooms made me wonder how clean the kitchen was?!

Buffet has a decent amount of Oriental and Americana dishes. I always fill my plate with Sesame Chicken over yellow rice (as can be seen in photo). Wish they would crank up the buffet warmers though because by the time you get back to your seat, the food is borderline cold. Service is very good here. Pricing is reasonable. Overall, I would give them 4 out of 5 stars. read more

PROS: I live 45 minutes to the east, in Pawhuska so when I'm running errands in Ponca City, I always dine here. I've never been met with an unpleasant staff member. The servers are always smiling, happy and do their best to get you seated if there is a line. Why they never include a spoon with the cutlery is a bit of a mystery but I'm not going to ding them for that. They're also on top of refilling my beverage which is always a plus so 5 stars for the current wait staff. CONS: The buffet is never HOT. It's not necessarily cold either, just a little warm. The Chinese food isn't nearly as good as the Chinese buffets in Tulsa but it's still decent enough, especially the Sesame Chicken and egg rolls. I do get a kick in seeing the okra on the buffet. You would only see that at an Oklahoma Chinese restaurant. The dessert cookies are REALLY, REALLY good. Another thing: a lot of the menu items are cooked really, really bland, not enough spice & kick in them. That might also be due to them not being as warm as they should be so for overall quality of food, I'm only going to give them 3 stars out of 5. It's a shame Ponca doesn't have another Chinese buffet opening up soon if only to light a fire under Hunan's butt and inspire them to do better. It's a nice little restaurant and like I said, "decent enough" food, they just need to take things to the next level and instead of being "good," be "excellent." Maybe some day. read more

The lunch combos are the best. Lots of food for cheap. You get choice of rice, choice of soup and a spring roll

It's gone way down in quality food for awhile now. Very disappointing! Many have agreed with me when restaurant is mentioned.

Buffet food is allowed to get old. You don't want to go mid-afternoon. Service is good. Price for the buffet has gone way up over the past couple of years and drink costs as well. Just not worth the price. read more

We arrived on Saturday evening around 5:00. We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly. That's basically the good part of the review. Most of the food on the buffet had been sitting under heat lamps a very long time. The general chicken was dry and flavorless, the sweet and sour sauce and lemon sauce tasted the same, really sweet and bland. My wife did enjoy the beef broccoli and I filled up on the peel and eat shrimp but we will certainly not be back. Despite the friendly service the food is terrible. read more
