First time I tried this place I wasn't impressed, very average. I decided to give it a second chance a couple months later and was very impressed. General Tso's was delicious, beef and broccoli was good, and egg rolls were excellent. The wontons were way over cooked and not edible. We had food delivered and the man who brought it (10 minutes after ordering!) went through the order to make sure it was correct. Very nice touch. I will be back! read more

I have gotten Hunan chicken from this location a few times and the chicken seems undercooked. It is very light in color and when you bite into it it has a very gummy almost under cooked feel to it. The sauce is good and the vegetables are crisp but I just can't get over the under cooked chicken. I assume they are trying to to keep the chicken tender and moist but you have to be cautious with chicken. read more

The Best Chinese food in Corpus Christi I believe. My boyfriend and I came to eat here several times during our work trip. You get a lot of food for the price and it all taste amazing. The crab Rangoon's are super stuffed, not just lightly stuffed with cream cheese and they're delicious. General tao's chicken is really good. I would recommend trying this place out. read more

The food here is really good, but the customer service is horrible. I called in to place a pick up order, and was on hold for 9 minutes. I hung up, called back, was on hold again, but they finally came back. They guy taking the order was no help. Once upon a time, I loved Hunan. I would order it almost every month and would always have a small craving for it in the back of my head. Who knows why I loved it over other Chinese places. Maybe it was the greasy comfort food I associate it with. Maybe I just love egg rolls more than life. Either way, Hunan and I were tight. But that my dear friends is where I made the mistake. I thought our love and trust would last forever. I was wrong. For today, I am sick and fell asleep early. When I awoke, I was horrified to realize it was 9:41 and I hadn't gotten to go get my soup from them. I quickly called to ask if it was still possible to get food even though they close at 10:00. I was pleasantly surprised when the lady said if I could get there in five minutes, there'd be hot and heart warming soup for me. Well my good gentlemen and women, I got there in four minutes. And here is where my heart was broken to pieces. As I drove up at 9:45, the same lady I had talked to yelled at me through my window that "we're closed!" as she walked to her car. My heart was abashed and my dreams of steamy egg drop soup shredded much like the egg in said soup. I was bewildered. As the clock struck 9:50, I slowly turned my car around and sadly went home. So if you take anything away from this tale, know that the seseme chicken will fill your belly and the steamed dumplings with whisper sweet nothings into your ear. I have been ordering from Hunan Express for years now, always delivery. I've been faithful because the food is great, the proportions are served over expectancy, and everything I've ever ordered is tasty. I will go a step further and say they are extremely nice and the sincerity of gratitude for patron-ism is obvious in their sincere service. Accurate of the order to the "T". Great job Hunan Express.
