Yay! A new Viet restaurant in Corpus Christi! This is an order at the counter kind of place with seating available and cute decor. I absolutely love the options on their menu! There is pho, banh mi, boba, Vietnamese coffee, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, and a variety of appetizers. Finally a place with good boba! What I ordered: Orange Lemongrass Peach Tea - So refreshing! Not too sweet and love the chunks of peach that add texture! The stick of lemongrass is a nice touch. $6.50 Com Suon - A generous portion of grilled pork chop comes with rice, an egg, and pickled veggies. The nuoc mam is strong and spicy also. Great deal for $10.99. Pho Combo 88 - Broth is decent (too sweet) and comes topped with rare beef, tripe, meatballs, and tendon. First time here and would come back--especially to try other boba drinks. We ordered the Brûlée coffee, which had light coffee flavor but mostly marshmallow-creaminess, and Matcha strawberry, which had subtle matcha flavor mixed with strawberry bits. (Tip: the strawberry jam is pretty sweet so if you're aiming for a modest amount of sweet, choosing 50% sweetness level helps!) Both drinks came with brown sugar boba and were the highest priced drinks at $6.85 (good pricing, with the lowest price at $4.95). For foods: -Pho Tai (aka sliced medium-rare beef pho) where the slices of raw beef are immediately cooked by the hot soup. Broth was flavorful and aromatic, not watered down, not too greasy. It was a little sweet (common for Southern Viet style pho) but not overwhelmingly so. As someone who is used to and prefers non-sweet pho, I would definitely order their pho again. Portion size was decent for $12.50. -Bun Bo Hue (aka lemongrass beef noodle soup on their updated menu) was acceptable and I was disappointed (as someone who is a huge fan of BBH). Not as authentic with all the usual fixings and I think catered more to American tastes, as the flavors were toned down (less lemongrass, spices, fishy umami flavor). Portion size was smaller than expected for the price of $13.99. As something newer on their menu, I am hopeful they'll consider strengthening the flavor in the near future! read more

After spending 14 years on the West Coast, I was doubtful about finding a Pho restaurant I would enjoy as much as the ones out there. My fear was unfounded. Today I found my happy Pho place! The food is delicious! I had the beef Pho and the Pho 88 sandwich. Heavenly! Both were full of flavor! The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. The staff is amazing! Their pho is ehhhh. Their boba sucks. Staff aren't friendly at all. Walked in a little after they opened at 11am, probably around 11:15ish and was asked if I was there for a DoorDash pickup. Mind you, I was there to dine in. They don't even check on you to see if you need anything and they don't even say thank you or bye as you walk out. Poor customer service. I am absolutely astonished that this place isn't rated higher... as a Vietnamese Houston native I could tell I was gonna be in good hands when I looked straight back into the kitchen and could see the auntie and uncle working hard tag teaming in the kitchen. I don't think Corpus Christi realizes what a gem this place is. Vietnamese food is very intricate and has a lot of components, so for this place to offer specialty dishes like Bun Rieu (Crab Cake Noodle Soup) and Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Pork Thick Rice Noodle Soup) has my jaw on the ground. I just know that they were so passionate in sharing these dishes with Corpus Christi that you can't easily find. Truly tastes like a family is sharing their cuisine. Please venture out of pho and try anything they will definitely take care of you. Service is nice but i can see that they are all hard working team. Super authentic place, you can taste the love!! Food was fresh, the chicken was marinated very well. Everything tasted amazing. Presentation was beautiful. Service was fast and friendly and nice ambience. I was pho excited to try this place. I absolutely adore pho. I was going to try Pho 88 in my birthday but something came up. Anyhoo, my family and I ordered it tonight. We were pho sad. We got two Rare Beef Pho and the Beef Lemon Grass Noodle Soup. The beef in both soups had no flavor and we were so disappointed in the broths. They didn't have that real pho developed flavor. The food was not amazing and not bad it was just mid. We have ordered the pho and the chicken with rice. The pho was more sweet and sour. While the chicken was perfectly roasted. Although it felt like a gen z iteration of the Vietnamese culture the food was good. The service was awkward for you had an option to pay with a robot at the start of the restaurant. So, amazing! We got the spring rolls with peanut sauce to start. It was so fresh and the sauce on point. I got the beef Pho and it was so refreshing and the broth was rich and not heavy. Went there for lunch, takeaway for wife and I. No appetizer, beef and rice threads for me and the meatball pho with extra meatballs for her. I ordered extra meatball for her pho and extra Do Chua. Never been there before but lots of friends said it was good. $42. Got home opened it all up... small cup of pho broth that was bland, rice thread noodles were a thick mass and the meatballs, there were four small slices and no extra meatballs but rather a couple pieces of thin cut beef which I did not order. My beef was ok, but 6 small pieces and a wad of rice thread noodles. The Do Chua, thin pieces of white radish and carrot that is usually spiced and pickled... this was not, just raw unseasoned veg. The extra I ordered was in a tiny snack bag. Overall I was disappointed and will never go back. It was the worst I have ever had and a terrible price point... $5 for extra meatballs which were not there and $5 for 2 tablespoons of raw veg. I have had lots of Vietnamese food in many locations, this was the worst experience by far. read more
