Shopping in area decided to stop by for lunch. First, let me say the exterior of Hunan is not the best, it looks pretty dated. I was determined to give it a chance. When you enter the interior is the same as exterior but very clean beyond being dated. The place was empty, in fact the owners were eating and got right up to help us. They seemed very friendly and welcoming, even helping us with selections. We ordered sweet and sour chicken $3.99 and sweet, spicy beef $5.39 and it was so good and so much food, also mini egg rolls $1.39. See pics. Overall great customer service, great quality and quantity, price. Win, win!!!

The food is the best in town and it's cheaper than other places. It's important to remember they only take cash.

Must try: T-Bone Steak and a Double Deuce Beer!…read more Why: I've been craving steak for a few weeks and when I arrived at OKC a few people recommended Cattlemen's. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was juicy and tender. It was also a large steak. Meal came with a house salad, baked potato, bread and a roll. I was also going to order Lamb Fries as an appetizer, but the waitress was able to let me try one piece on the house - great service! It would have been way too much food for one person. I washed it all down with their refreshing Double Deuce Beer. Everything was flavorful and satisfying - the steak hit the spot for me. Notes: It was a quick drive from downtown. Right when I walked in I was welcomed by hostesses and seated immediately. Everyone was warm and friendly. Def felt historic and legendary inside with their table booths, photos, and decor. A great hearty meal for my last night in OKC!

We were seated in what was basically an old looking Diner in which we weren't really expecting but it added some charm. We settled on the Blue Ribbon Ribeye & the Cowboy Prime Rib. Both were served in short order & although we wouldn't say they were the best we've ever had they were terrific nonetheless. Our server did a decent job & the prices were quite fair ( 2 Entrees, 3 Cocktails & a Dessert for $ 150.69 ) Next time we find ourselves in Oklahoma city we will certainly stop back in for another great meal, possibly even for breakfast since they open at 8am.

We celebrated our anniversary and the service did not disappoint!…read more Reservations at 4:00, we were seated in a nice 2-top and wished happy anniversary by the staff. We tried their version of a salmon sushi roll, it wasn't bad. Rice was fried. Our steaks were so flavorful and tender! We decided to try the onion rings and green chili cream corn as our sides. I wished the corn was a little sweet. Onion rings were good but not the best I've had. Old fashioned cocktail was on point though! They delivered an anniversary multi-layered red velvet cake. Pretty tasty. I would definitely return and order the same steaks just with different sides.

They had fun, enjoyed the show, and left happy... and honestly, that's what mattered most. That said, as someone who has been to many hibachi restaurants over the years, this experience was a bit of a mixed grill. We made reservations (which ended up not being necessary since lunch was not busy--definitely a plus) and were seated quickly at the grill. Our waiter was attentive throughout the meal, keeping drinks refilled and checking in regularly. Appetizers ordered: Edamame, Calamari, Takoyaki, and Tobiko sushi. * The edamame was spot on. * The takoyaki (fried octopus balls with sauce, mayo, and bonito flakes) was a pleasant surprise and very good. * The calamari came out greasy and overcooked, though the flavor itself was decent. * The Tobiko sushi? Let's just say the crunchy, salty pop of flying fish roe wasn't a hit with anyone except me. Everything arrived piping hot, which is good--but definitely required caution when eating. For soup and salad, everyone chose the soup while I went with the salad. The salad was underwhelming--just iceberg lettuce and dressing. I sampled the soup and found it hot, but the flavor seemed off and not to my liking. The biggest issue was timing. Despite being the only hibachi group seated, there was a long delay--well over 15 minutes--between appetizers and the chef arriving at the grill. Thankfully, we had plenty of appetizers to bridge the gap. When the chef did arrive, the presentation was fun and energetic. Our grandsons loved it, and that's the key takeaway. While the performance didn't wow me personally, the kids were fully entertained, and all entrées were cooked to everyone's liking. One small disappointment: most hibachi places do something special for birthday guests, but there was no acknowledgment here. Not a deal-breaker--especially with Pie Junkie just up the street--but worth mentioning. A few final notes: * Salt & pepper shakers and soy sauce bottles appeared sticky, as if not wiped down between seatings. * My wife mentioned the restroom was not clean--the floor felt sticky, and it was a shared restroom for men and women, which could use more attention. Bottom line: This was a mixed experience--some good, some not so good. Personally, I wouldn't return, having experienced stronger hibachi restaurants elsewhere. However, our grandson left smiling, and we were able to give them the birthday experience they wanted--and that made it worthwhile. Three stars feels fair.
