I've been staying at this hotel for quite a while and have always had a good experience overall. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the restaurant. I've eaten here and ordered room service several times, but after my experience last night, I won't be returning. The issue was being charged $11 for each order of white rice without that ever being mentioned when I placed the order. If I had known white rice was $11 each, I never would have ordered it. I attempted to address the issue with the manager on duty, but the response I received was simply, "That's how much it costs." Rather than acknowledging the concern or discussing the lack of disclosure, the matter was dismissed. Just a really disappointing experience from a restaurant that's part of an otherwise great hotel. read more

Probably some of the best breakfast I've had in all of Oklahoma. Culprits truly is serving some incredible food. Located inside the renessaince hotel, you will find culprits tucked away in their lobby area. We actually stayed at the hotel and received vouchers for free breakfast during our stay. THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL. We ate here two morning in a row and tried different items. The flapjacks were probably some of the best pancakes of my life. INCREDIBLE. The crossiant sandwich was of great quality and so flavorful. The biscuits and gravy dish was very good and very home style which was nice. The service was incredible here. Both times are servers were very kind and extremely helpful. Food was out pretty fast after placing our orders so that was appreciated. Defenitly Cultrips is a must if your in the bricktown area. The food and service at Culprits were terrific. The rib eye steak we ordered was cooked perfectly, with great char on the outside, well-seasoned, and nice medium-rare inside. The side salad we ordered was delicious as well. My wife and I decided to split both the salad and steak, and they had no problem accommodating that at no charge, and gave us each separate plates of each dish. Our server, Crystal, was very attentive without being annoying. I appreciated the casual atmosphere of a great steakhouse. My only negative is I wish they had more size selection on their steaks. We've been several times and this was one of our best visits. My biggest complaint on this trip was the scent of the diffuser which was very sweet, strong and overpowering. It was just below headache inducing. We were greeted by friendly staff at the restaurant stand. Note that the restaurant is inside the hotel so you may have to walk to the Sheridan entrance. We had the pleasure of Nikara taking care of us and she did a wonderful job. We ordered the Parker Rolls to start. They were delicious but I'm not a fan of the trend of charging for a bread service. My husband ordered his favorite dish, the Volcano Roll. It arrives to the table engulfed in flames and is quite spectacular. I don't think you could convince him to try anything else on the menu. I tried a new dish, the Steak Stirfry. It is the best dish I've had at Culprits and this is probably my sixth visit. It was as delicious as it looks and I'll probably order it again when we return. One friend ordered the Chicken Fried Ribeye and was very happy. On a previous visit we both ordered it and unfortunately the steak was terribly overcooked, saved somewhat by the gravy. He said that it seemed to be a thicker cut this time and was not overcooked. His husband ordered the Dijon Chicken and enjoyed it. He did find the pasta to be an odd addition and not flavorful. It appears to just be taking up space on the plate. He said a small spring salad would've been a nice break from the heaviness of the rest of the meal. Went to this place last night, got too hammered to leave a review! Found this place while roaming the damn good city after leaving the money grab. This place was connected to a renaissance hotel which made me very jealous since I was staying in the La Quinta with the EQ! The food was alright but this bar menu was something else! I tried their old fashion of course (3 of them ;p) . After I thought i'd see their take on the Massapequa iced tea, the water got confused so I told him I would make it myself! After this I got dragged out of the place by my ankles and lost one of my shoes. If anyone seeing this sees my shoe please contact me! This bar/restaurant is located inside the sleek Renaissance hotel. We had been on a two day road trip and this was a beautiful place to unwind with a cocktail. The menu was unique with signature cocktails such as the "One in the Chamber" bourbon drink or the Hotsy Totsy Spritz - vodka blackberry drink. We did box a little of everything we got and didn't receive a bag to put it in...I could've asked but like I said, these are things servers should be noticing. Especially in a fine dining setting. 3. Server just seemed like she was ready to get us in and out... The food wasn't as hot as it was last time either. The steak was a little cold not gonna lie and seemed like it may have been sitting under the warmer for a while. The corn was excellent though. Loved it. Culprits in a word can be described as elegant. The atmosphere and ambiance creates the perfect scenario for dates, anniversary's, and holidays. The menu allows for a stunning dinner or a lowkey snack and drinks. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is due to the food not living up to my expectations. To be clear the food was delicious but at the price they ask I demand perfection. At the least, the menu can be called creative and innovative however they lost marks due to some hiccups for me. For example the tar tar was an incredible taste and consistency but loses points because the bread was soggy and a little over charred. Similarly the miso cookie was cool to try with a unique flavor profile but the added miso created a saltier dish than we expected. If I could I would rate them a 4.5 with only small complaints about the food. I will greatly encourage many to enjoy the pleasantries of culprit. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by the food here, I don't eat steak, but there is still plenty of sushi and other options for me. Do yourself a favor and get the bread service, the bread was so warm and yummy and the butter was delicious. If you're wanting a good steak, I would go to one of the other numerous steakhouses in Oklahoma City. If you're wanting sushi, don't go here... they have an incredibly limited sushi menu and use sauce for flavor instead of letting the fish speak for itself. The restaurant is literally in the lobby of a hotel. It's incredibly loud and everything's black which I thought was an "interesting" design choice. The service was just mediocre. The venue is very contemporary. We started with the Fire Shrimp and oh my it was so good. It was nicely presented, flavorful, and had a little kick. It was served with six so we each had three. We both ordered the filet, rare. Steaks come with optional sauces. Jan ordered her's with bone marrow. I'm a bit of a purist and did not order any sauce. I did taste the bone marrow and it's an interesting, but good addition to the steak. The filets were perfectly seasoned and cooked to order. The sides ordered were asparagus and fries, both good. There are only two choices on the Desert menu and we chose the peanut butter pie. It was very good and one was more than enough for two people. I stayed here at the renaissance hotel for a business trip and decided to go down stairs and try out there restaurant. The decor is amazing and it's just a really nice vibe . I decided to order the mussels which is covered in a white sauce with onions and on the side it comes with a lovely toasted sour dough bread along with that I also ordered the crab cakes . The mussels were very very disgusting the sauce was nasty lt tasted like the mussels had gone bad and they decided to cook them in whit wine and throw in some over cooked onions and garlic this dish lacked flavor and acid . The bread was the best part . If one meal blew me away in OKC, it was this one. I literally smiled during my first few bites of chicken fried ribeye. It was that good and so well executed that I couldn't help myself. Usually chicken fried steak is a cheaper cut of beef, this was not. I even told my Uber driver that they used ribeye and he almost swerved off the road lol. It makes a huge difference in the flavor and tenderness. Gravy was perfect and not overly thick like wallpaper paste as my old culinary school chef would say. The corn helped break up the bites of fattieness. Potatoes were just fine. Definitely a massive portion and I went for lunch. Shareable for sure. As a note, the dish is cheaper during lunch as are a few items on their lunch menu like their steaks. Just a good arbitrage opportunity :) Also, I've never seen a Renaissance hotel this freaking nice. Felt like I was in Vegas. Nicely done. Go to Culprits, you will thank me later. Came here when they were newly opened for a month. Located near or in Bricktown. Took a short stroll looking at the decor and their designer book collection. I think they share the lobby with the hotel. I was lowkey limping from an injury, so my distance was limited. A recap of what we got at Culprit. * Flaming Scallop * Thai Fried Chicken * Different version of Steak Tartare * Lump Crab Soup * Surf & Turf Nigiri * Beet + Farro Salad I'm going to be honest, everything was good except their take on Sushi. The rice was a bit off. They definitely used the wrong grain and the rice was kinda clumped. I think they also made their own wasabi with food coloring and horseradish. If it wasn't for their take on sushi, it would of been the perfect place to go for dinner and recommended their whole menu.
