    Steak Stirfry
    Lane M.

We've been several times and this was one of our best visits. My biggest complaint on this trip was the scent of the diffuser which was very sweet, strong and overpowering. It was just below headache inducing. We were greeted by friendly staff at the restaurant stand. Note that the restaurant is inside the hotel so you may have to walk to the Sheridan entrance. We had the pleasure of Nikara taking care of us and she did a wonderful job. We ordered the Parker Rolls to start. They were delicious but I'm not a fan of the trend of charging for a bread service. My husband ordered his favorite dish, the Volcano Roll. It arrives to the table engulfed in flames and is quite spectacular. I don't think you could convince him to try anything else on the menu. I tried a new dish, the Steak Stirfry. It is the best dish I've had at Culprits and this is probably my sixth visit. It was as delicious as it looks and I'll probably order it again when we return. One friend ordered the Chicken Fried Ribeye and was very happy. On a previous visit we both ordered it and unfortunately the steak was terribly overcooked, saved somewhat by the gravy. He said that it seemed to be a thicker cut this time and was not overcooked. His husband ordered the Dijon Chicken and enjoyed it. He did find the pasta to be an odd addition and not flavorful. It appears to just be taking up space on the plate. He said a small spring salad would've been a nice break from the heaviness of the rest of the meal. There is a valet service so you don't have to try and find parking. There are some downtown restaurants that have complimentary parking but this isn't one of them.

This place doesn't strike me with confidence. The food was OK but it doesn't operate like you would expect for the price point.

Went to this place last night, got too hammered to leave a review! Found this place while roaming the damn good city after leaving the money grab. This place was connected to a renaissance hotel which made me very jealous since I was staying in the La Quinta with the EQ! The food was alright but this bar menu was something else! I tried their old fashion of course (3 of them ;p) . After I thought i'd see their take on the Massapequa iced tea, the water got confused so I told him I would make it myself! After this I got dragged out of the place by my ankles and lost one of my shoes. If anyone seeing this sees my shoe please contact me! Leaving the south today and dreading going back home to the Island and working at 4:30 am tmrw.

The food was great, but the sushi was by far the best item we had. Service was fantastic and the only real complaint I'd have is the limited menu.

Several people have mentioned Culprits to me, so I knew that was next on my list to try. The food is delicious, vibes are high, and they have an amazing mocktail selection. I ordered a steak and the flaming scallops and it was by far one of my favorite meals I've had since moving to OKC .

We are never disappointed with our visits to this establishment. Their flaming scallops are always delicious. Our drinks were amazing, and the team was very attentive, friendly, and fun to be around. The ambiance is just what's needed for any occasion.

The food was good but the atmosphere would keep us from coming back. The vibe is very hotel lobby and the main audience is the hotel guests - who are dressed very casual. We tried many things on the menu and a couple of different drinks. The oysters were fresh, the sushi was literally flaming hot (it came on fire), but the drinks were middle level and I had to send my first drink back.

Saturday 11/02/2024 5:00pm I came in without a reservation and they were able to accommodate the 3 of us since most were reserved for larger parties. Interior was modern, dim lit, atmosphere was enjoyable. Definitely a good place to go grab a drink. Server- was good and knowledgeable of the menu We ordered Appetizers Chow Calamari- 1/5- batter was mushy and barely crisp, calamari was hard rubber, aioli was bland, sweet thai chile is basically sweet and sour sauce, feels like it was precooked already Overall-flavorless rubber Flaming Scallops-3/5- good sear, scallops were tender and sweet, presentation is nice, garlic butter was just regular butter Overall needed salt and garlic Atomic Volcano Roll- 2/5- tempura fry was crisp, decent flavor, rice was mushy, scallops were inedible, mostly cream cheese, coated with sweet and sour sauce Overall- I'll go to a sushi restaurant for sushi Entrees Chicken Fried Ribeye-1/5-gravy and tiny serving of Gouda mash was good, "ribeye" had texture of jerky and gravy couldn't save it, and creme corn was basically cold corn mixed with mayonnaise, and why put the mash on top of the ribeye and not on the side like the corn???? Overall- Flavorless and poor execution N.Y. Strip w/ Black Garlic Butter-2/5- asked for medium and somewhat tender, top section was medium well, middle section was medium, bottom section was medium rare from one cut of N.Y. Strip. Black garlic butter carried the steak and still lack salt. Overall- needs salt and bad execution Overall- Flavorless and needs more R&D Thanks for reading Hope your experience was better than mine

The food and service at Culprits was fantastic. The restaurant is the ground floor of the hotel which makes it very inviting and makes you want to stay a while.

Love the choice in their signature cocktails and the names! They also offer the classics

This bar/restaurant is located inside the sleek Renaissance hotel. We had been on a two day road trip and this was a beautiful place to unwind with a cocktail. The menu was unique with signature cocktails such as the "One in the Chamber" bourbon drink or the Hotsy Totsy Spritz - vodka blackberry drink. The service was slow at first but once the server came she was extremely friendly and attentive. We did not eat dinner or appetizers, but we had an excellent breakfast in the morning which I recommend.

My first visit to Culprits was perfect. From the friendly staff to the drinks and mouth watering meal! I was not disappointed. It is a smaller restaurant so reservations are definitely recommended. I will be returning when I downtown for an event.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was good and the waffle fries were excellent. The portions are large and the food quality excellent. The prices reasonable. The menu has variety. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and were quickly greeted and given menus, place settings & ice water by one of the bartenders After about 5 minutes our order was taken - I didn't see the gluten free pancakes on the menu so I wasn't hopeful but when I asked the employee said that they do in fact have gluten free pancakes! I ordered pancakes 3 ways - creme brûlée, blueberry with lemon & a pig in a blanket along with 2 scrambled eggs & the candied bacon Hubs got the breakfast tacos, side of bacon and an Irish coffee Candied bacon came out with the Irish coffee quick - both were so good! I'm not a pepper fan so when I saw it on the candied bacon I was nervous, but it didn't overpower the flavor at all Next came the tacos & my smazing plate of gluten free PANCAKES!!!! The tacos looked good, but in all honesty I didn't ask if it was good because I was SO focused on my plate :) The pig in a blanket was my fave - the bourbon syrup was so good, there was a little spice to the sausage which was a nice balance The blueberry lemon was great - light, flavorful and just yummy The creme brulee which I was anticipating the most - was good, but wasn't my fave - maybe I was too full by the time I got to it but it wasn't as nummy as I'd hoped I'll be coming back next time I'm in town

That price isn't even including a tip. This place has always been pricier than the rest, but a couple years ago they used to give your to-go coffees in a mason jar so it was justified. Now the mason jars are gone, the cups are barely bigger than a claw clip, and somehow they're charging even more. This was my fourth time here and I wanted to give them another shot, but it'll have to be my last try. You can get much better coffee at a much more fair price at other places in the city. The only strength Elemental has is that it has a bit longer food menu than other cafes, but if you're paying more than $20 for a tiny coffee and a mediocre snack then you are wasting your time and money. Also, I don't expect you to yell a welcome or fall on your knees to greet me when I walk in, but the service here is miserable and always has been. The barista asked me how I was doing, to which I said good thank you, then just stared at me for a good few seconds. I guess that means go ahead and order here. A simple "what would you like today" would suffice. Most places you get used to waiting a second while the barista prepares the system, so if that's not the case, just say something. Then they hand you your to-go drink without a lid, because the $9.50 you spent doesn't cover that level of labor and you need to do it yourself. I love to support our local coffee shops here in OKC, but you'll never find me recommending Elemental. Which is a shame, because the mason jars in my cabinet at home are a good reminder of when they served unique and fairly priced coffee. I am so thoroughly disappointed that I made an account just to say this. At least the espresso is okay.
