I always tip well for good service, but this time I left a little extra for our service team. We ordered the Lobster and Crab Cake with Lemon Basil Aioli; Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence; Lobster Mac 'N' Cheese; Bone-In Ribeye with Gorgonzola Sauce and Cabernet Reduction; and Caesar Salad with Grana Padano Croutons. He was a master at making sure we had a perfect evening... We enjoyed some appetizers, so we decide to split a steak. I've been to a lot of wonderful restaurant, but when you split a steak, you have to pick how you want the whole steak cooked. I like mind medium rare, and my wife like more well done. My husband and I just got married last Thursday morning and we made last minute reservations for The Capital Grille for dinner at 7:30 pm. We noted that it was our wedding day when making reservations and were treated like royalty when we arrived! We were seated at a large booth, the ambiance was romantic with dim lighting and Christmas decor. The server gave us some delicious assorted bread and butter. We each got a cocktail. I ordered the Noble Paloma and my husband ordered the Double Oaked & Rye Manhattan and the Kona Espresso Martini. For dinner, we shared the Au Gratin Potatoes, which were sooo good! These dishes are meant to be shared with a group of people so we had leftovers. My husband ordered the 6 oz filet mignon with mushrooms for the side and I ordered the roasted chicken with parmesan and mushroom risotto. The chicken was VERY juicy and probably the best chicken I've had all year. Chicken has been a hit or miss recently, but we could tell this meat was very fresh and roasted perfectly. I also had leftovers from this meal and ate it the next day for lunch. Since it was our wedding day, we got free champagne and a free dessert! The dessert was a creme brulee cheesecake and a rich chocolate ganache mousse/cake. As a holiday gift, we were given a $50 gift card to use next time! We recently dined at The Capital Grille at Oak in OKC and had an overall great experience. The highlight of my meal was definitely the beet and goat cheese salad--the crushed pistachios and citrus dressing added a bright, nutty contrast that made it stand out. I also loved the lobster mac and cheese--perfectly salty with tender chunks of lobster and a golden, crisp crust that made it truly indulgent. The filet mignon, however, was just average. It wasn't bad, but I've had better at other local steakhouses of a similar caliber. The béarnaise sauce didn't do much for me either--it lacked the depth I usually look for. Service was decent, though not the most attentive. At one point, my friend had to grab the water pitcher herself because we couldn't get a server's attention. While not a dealbreaker, it was noticeable. That said, our server was still polite and friendly. Desserts were a strong finish. My husband and I shared the brûléed cheesecake, and it was absolutely delicious--creamy with just the right crackle on top. I also tried my friend's house-made coconut cream pie, and it was phenomenal. All in all, a very good meal with a few standout dishes. We have been fortunate to visit Capital Grilles all over the country. And, I can happily report that they are usually very consistent. The OKC location opened in the fall of 2024, and we made our first visit to celebrate my wife's birthday. We booked a bar table, as reservations were hard to come by for a Saturday night. Capital Grille bars/lounges are always a great casual option, especially if you like to see some sports on TV. We had a phenomenal server, Alissa. She was appropriately attentive and super nice with the right amount of interaction. All of the service was excellent, with waters refilled and other requests quickly met. We started with 2 ice cold vodka martinis with blue cheese olives - they were spot on. Their bread service is known for their lavosh (cracker), but their onion bread with bits of cheese was our favorite. We split a wedge salad, which was okay - I prefer a chunkier bleu cheese dressing. My wife had a Kona crusted filet with their shallot butter sauce. It's a top notch steak and sauce combo! I had a duo of shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare. The shrimp cocktail is always a good choice with plump, chilled shrimp and a perfect cocktail sauce. The tuna tartare was fine - may needed a bit of zing, but its ingredients were fresh and delicious. Maybe they left out the sriracha? We had mushrooms and Parmesan truffle fries as sides. The mushrooms were fantastic. The fries were good but lacked Parmesan for some reason. I had indicated a birthday for my wife on my open table, and they had a nice handwritten card for her and also presented her with a dessert sampler of their irresistible cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake, which was rich and delicious. Fruit and whipped cream brought it all together. We had a great birthday celebration with outstanding service and wonderful food. Capital Grille is usually 5-star, but I went 4-star as I think they forgot the Parmesan on the fries and the sriracha in the tuna tartare. The service was extremely good and attention to detail is top notch. My wife and I split the tenderloin w/ lobster (insane good) since we weren't too hungry before a show at the lyric. When they served our meal the presentation was impeccable. Additionally, I visited again but this time for a late lunch. I had their special wagyu cheeseburger that was paired with a wine. I LITERALLY had a dream about it because the cheeseburger was the best I've ever eaten. The ambiance is also good for white top dining. The person next to us ordered a drink, received it, and ordered his food. The couple on the other side were getting asked if they wanted a second drink all before we even got water. It's lobster and then your choice of steak. Our server recommended the Bone-In Ribeye if we wanted a more flavorful beef. The lobster was tender and the scallops although small were grilled perfectly. The ribeye was just okay, considering they are known for their aged meats. We wanted to love their steak, but it fell a little short. They prepared a free dessert for my birthday, which was nice and very beautifully done. The Expresso Chocolate Cake was exceptional. The service is impeccable of course, as expected. Our server Victor was friendly enough but was trying too hard with his obscure humor. Went for brunch on Easter. The first impressions of the space were upscale and modern but did have elements of old school steakhouse. Staff were all professional and attentive as you would expect of a fine dining restaurant. The fix price offering was a deal for $55. We both started with the Clam Chowder. It was not as creamy as most but had a good flavor. I'll order the salad next time. My wife had the Frittata with lobster and asparagus. She thoroughly enjoyed and she shared a bite of the lobster. It was cooked properly and had that delicious, sweet flavor. My 8oz filet was ordered as rare plus and it was perfect. Most restaurants cook it closer to medium rare, but not here. It was very tender and sparsely seasoned allowing the beef flavor to shine (I lifted the egg off to savor the filet). The asparagus was flavorful and not too firm / not too soft, just right. As a seafood connoisseur, I can wholeheartedly and honestly say that these were the best lobster tails I've ever had in my life.. they were juicy, succulent and tender. Dinner with friends last Sunday evening at Capital Grille (CG). We had been wanting to experience CG since their opening last fall. CG is a great addition to the OKC dining. It's a very nice venue in the New Oaks complex. The decor is modern with clean lines and adorned with portraits of Oklahoma celebrities. I really appreciated the layout and table spacing. We started with an order of calamari for the table. It was OK, but average. I rate it at 3/5. Three of us had different entrees. Ken had Sea Bass and gave it a 5/5. Susan had beef tenderloin medallions with lobster. She rated it 5/5. I had the 10 oz fillet and rated it a 3/5. I ordered it rare and it came medium rare with one end well done and stringy like roast beef. Jan ordered the 10 oz filet and gave it a 5/5. For the table we ordered truffle frittes. I thought they were excellent, 5/5. Jan did not like them at all. We also ordered creamed spinach. The consensus was it was OK, but the taste was unusual, 4/5. Jan and I finished with creme burlee and it was excellent, 5/5. It was a great evening. Lovely venue, good service and overall good experience. The noise was low. We have been excited to try the new Capital Grille in OKC. We have been to other locations in the past, and we found the experience to be as excellent here as it has been at past locations. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, really giving you the feeling of your dinner being a special occasion. We ordered way too much food because we wanted to try out as much as we could. Some of the highlights were the bone-in filet, South African lobster tail, and the lobster mac and cheese. Although we were full, three of us shared the cheesecake. It was a lovely place to visit, and they offer valet parking, which is very convenient. If you dine there or visit the bar, you receive a value ticket, which is a fantastic deal. I personally used the valet parking without hesitation. However, I would not recommend it for vegetarians, as there are limited options--mostly salads and a few types of butternut squash or truffle nut soups. From the moment we arrived until we left the service was friendly, inviting and top notch. Travis and Gustavo managed our table and delivered fantastic service all night. The restaurant is large but offers some side rooms for a quieter and more intimate atmosphere. I've been fortunate enough to visit other locations and this restaurant has the stamp of local Oklahomans. I appreciate the effort to personalize a restaurant to its location and culture. The food was delicious. I'd seen multiple positive reviews on the calamari and they are all correct. Our friends who aren't fans of spicy foods were worried about the peppers but rest assured that they only add flavor and not heat. The bread basket is the most unique you'll receive in OKC with an interesting and tasty variety of breads. We started the meal with French Onion soup, Clam Chowder and Caesar salads. I had the chowder and while it was good it's not something I'd order again. We were recently on the east coast and comparing chowders is probably not fair. Two of us had the steak special of the day and I can't remember the name. Honestly you can't really go wrong with any steak you choose. The sliced filet mignon was another popular choice for our table. Sides are served family style and we chose the mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Both were delicious and great picks for the table. Although we had no room for dessert I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with anything offered. This is an expensive restaurant. Including tip it was $300 for two of us. One mistake that I made was in having a drink. It was a simple whiskey and soda, and definitely a cheap brand (I selected it from the options) when my preferred brand wasn't available. I was stunned to see a charge for $23 dollars. At two other OKC restaurants I've paid $9 and $14 for much, much better whiskey. For $23 I could buy an entire bottle (literally) of the whiskey I was served. I don't mind paying for high quality food but be careful about what you order from the bar. This is a welcome addition to OKC and a nice "splurge" restaurant but there are plenty of fantastic options in our city. read more

The location is right by Penn Square Mall in that newer shopping center with Tommy Bahama. The restaurant has a polished, clean atmosphere with the classic "steakhouse" vibe: wood accents, warm lighting, and a slight cowboy-modern flair, built to accommodate a large crowd comfortably. I ordered the dry-aged New York strip (aged between 45 to 90 days), topped with a balsamic mushroom sauce. The steak was cooked correctly and stayed moist throughout the meal, but flavor-wise it didn't quite hit the mark for me--felt like the sauce masked the meat more than complemented it. Tasted more like a sweet A1-style glaze than anything mushroom-forward. On the side, I had the lobster mac & cheese, which was rich, buttery, and had generous chunks of lobster--definitely a highlight. I also tried the brussels sprouts, which were over-sauced and overly sour for my taste. For dessert, I had the cheesecake, which was smooth and solid. I also sampled the coconut cake--sweet and dense, a good shareable but probably too rich for me to finish solo. Drinks were good, though I forgot the exact cocktail I had. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the night, and our server handled a table of eight with ease. All in all, The Capital Grille is a great spot for groups or special occasions. It's not the best steak I've had in Oklahoma (and there's stiff competition around here), but it's certainly a solid experience. This restaurant is popular because I booked our reservation 3 weeks out and I still couldn't get my preferred date and time. We came here for my early birthday dinner. Service was top-notch as expected from a fine dining restaurant. What stood out about this steakhouse is the dry-aging process for their meat. As well as their award-winning wine list.     They were busy so we waited a bit for each of our items. We spent like 3 hrs there. For food, there were some hits and misses. The steak that we ordered wasn't as tender and was quite bland. And so the sauce helped a lot. I was not fond of my scallop's entree. The scallops need seasoning and while the risotto was creamy and had a good consistency it was so lemony and the flavors just didn't go well together.   Lobster and crabcakes were delicious, it's mostly meat rather than fillers. The sides were okay. The mushrooms were oily and very salty. The au gratin potatoes were great, I love the sauce. Their cocktails were innovations of classic cocktails. For my second drink which is a classic sidecar, it didn't have a sugar rim, but still, I've had better. But their expresso martini is excellent! Lastly, I appreciate them writing a birthday card for me, but I was surprised they didn't offer a complimentary birthday dessert despite how much we spent on dinner. read more

We stopped in for dinner on a rainy night and were very thankful for the valet parking! The hostess sat us at our table and Travis took it from there, orchestrating a lovely evening. We started with drinks from the bar--a nice Dalmore 18 and a glass of dry rosé that hit the spot. The dining room is very east coast steakhouse, comfortable and understated. We chose the caviar and caramelized onion dip with house made chips as a starter--the menu stated that it served 2, and this generous appetizer was classic and comforting, your favorite chips & dip with a little kick. On special was the lobster bisque so we chose that along with the field greens salad. Both were generous portions. The bisque was creamy and smooth, dotted with chunks of sweet lobster meat, and the salad was dressed with a light and bright vinaigrette. Our mains were the 10oz filet--perfect rare+, and the Kona-crusted dry aged New York strip, the coffee rub giving the steak a deep, smoky flavor profile. We chose the potatoes au gratin, which was hot and cheesy perfection. We opted to get dessert to go and ordered the coconut cream tart and the cheesecake--Travis told us that if this wasn't the best cheesecake we had ever had he would pay for it--and while I said I thought my homemade cheesecake would always be my favorite, I have to give it up, that's some damn good cheesecake. The tart was also very good but I wanted more coconut flavor! After friends in other cities sang their praises, I was anxious to try the new Capital Grille in OKC. My team went for lunch during the holiday season, and we all left very happy. I ordered the salmon and cous cous lunch with a Caesar salad. The salad was incredibly fresh, and dressed perfectly. The entree was interesting in a good, but unusual way. The salmon was flaky, moist and tender, with a nice lemony note. The cous cous and sauce didn't impress me on their own, but it was transformative when combined with the salmon. The lemon notes changed to a luscious buttery taste. It was almost as if you had two different preparations of salmon. 4.5/5 What gave Capital Grille the fifth star was their outstanding service. The wait staff was wonderful, but the hostesses deserve special praise. The day after I made the reservation, I called to add a fifth person. No problem. Then the day of, I called to let them know one person wouldn't be joining us and it was back to four. The hostess was so kind and friendly during both exchanges. It took a while to get a reservation but we finally did. The parking is a little bit confusing (the lot is not next to the building. Only valet) so be advised. When I walked in I was greeted and was a bit early so I waiting near the entrance. After my bestie made it we were seated. I forgot the reservation was for 4 and a birthday. The birthday boy ended up having to work out of state but the decorations was cute. Our servers came and we got tequila shots to start. Woah. The pours were huge. We needed up splitting the beet salad, a rib eye and the lobster mac and cheese. The salad and mac and cheese were outstanding. The ribeye was good but not the best I've ever had. The service was spectacular in every way. Thy had waiters for everything. There was one for the bread, one for water,several different ones bring out the food, and a different one bring me my complimentary birthday dessert. They even had a card on the table with confetti. It was four of us in my party and there were no complaints about the food. As a matter of fact it was the best Salmon that I have had. I really wanted to try th Mac n cheese, but I am allergic to shellfish. The ambiance was fantastic it is very nice on the inside with a lot of wines to try. Who ever did the design did a great job. The only thing that went wrong is my waitress decided to keep my change without even asking if I needed change. They also complimentary bread and parking. This restaurant is top class and I cannot wait to go back. Word of advise make a reservation. read more
