The rice in my chicken fried rice was yellow, and the alleged chicken was dark brown, and hard as burnt beef sticks.. i was really hoping it was actually chicken. I dined here for the very first time last night. I was hungry and I am vegan so I decided to go here to check out their menu. I was impressed with the variety of vegetable offerings. I decided on the sauteed eggplant in garlic sauce. It stated it was spicy but it wasn't to me. Note to ask for extra hot! The flavor was not the best but doable. I later came back and ordered the general tso tofu! something new!! Yaay!!! There wasn't any flavor as tofu takes on the flavor you give it. I think they should marinate the tofu in the general tso sauce. I had to add seasoning when I got home but my son and I enjoyed. I will be back to try their other vegetarian offerings. It can be hit or miss at times. Some dishes are great, others are not. They also put a their own twist on some dishes, which most of the time is great, but other times is just not what I wanted. Example: the dumplings are some of the best I've had. They have the same Chinese bbq pork taste as a spare rib would have. But other dishes, simple dishes, like general tso is just not executed well at all. It's a sugar BOMB. It's so overly sweet and loaded with sugar and becomes rock hard once it's cooled down. They also don't have Kung po chicken, they have kung BO, which is a different dish. Just be mindful of that. Most of the time, this is the go to spot. Just cause it's a 2 minute walk from my house. Wow, they called me to meet at the door of my office building to get my order. They claim three times. I saw two calls on my log both in the same minute. Then a minute later I got a call from the restaurant. The lady chewed me out. Are you serious? Learn some customer service. Still gave the driver a half way decent tip as he was still yelling at me. It's a different location but the people and food are the same as before, as are the prices. It's your standard Americanized Chinese takeout but the staff and owners are very friendly, they NEVER get my order wrong, and the food/price combo is great. My vice is the shrimp fried rice which is packed with shrimp so it semi-dampens the feelings of guilt. Other than that, I like the standard pepper steak and shrimp and scallops with mixed veg. As always, the lunch combos are less than $5 and come with a soup or soda and fried or white rice. The best part is that they are available Mon through SAT! Yay for weekend specials! read more

This is the same Hunan Wok that used to be over on Ridge; they moved here about a year ago or so. The food is still the same, and I think the people who work there are the same too. My favorite parts about HW are: 1) when you call in, they get your order right. bonus. 2) they are efficient about letting you pay with credit card over the phone 3) delivery is timely and the driver is pleasant 4) food is good, if standard-issue Chinese-American fare. On the downside, the food can be pretty salty (but I guess that is par for the course). I recommend the ho fun noodles (the wide, flat ones) and the general tso's chicken, though on the latter, I recommend telling them that you want it "extra crispy." read more

This was the all time worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Hot/sour soup was watered down, no taste; hardly any tofu or pork in it. Dumplings and egg roll were okay. Chicken/Shrimp with vegetables was a joke. There were so many chunks of celery and carrot it was ridiculous and the water chestnuts did not look fresh; they had brown marks on them. Awful. Food was salty. I ordered the broccoli beef. I'm not sure it even was beef. Meat was slimy and very pale. I sure didnt look like any beef id ever seen. My friends and I went to Hunan wok and let me just tell ya, it was a life changing experience. The shrimp was so fresh it was in an aquarium when we arrived. The rice was picked fresh and went from farm to table in a matter of seconds. The waitress was so kind and freshly squeezed soy sauce for us on the spot. The egg roll hit different. I would give zero stars if it was possible. An establishment that tries to cheat their customers out of money should not be able to continue to be in business. My husband went to pick up $9 worth of food. He handed who we believe to be the owner a $20 bill. The owner handed him $1 and my husband said "I gave you a $20 bill". The owner insisted repeatedly that my husband gave him a $10 bill and the argument went on until the owner said, I will check the video. After coming back after a few minutes the owner said I couldn't see but I know you gave me a $10. My husband then called me on the phone and said, did you me a $20 bill and explained what was going on. He insisted the owner look at the tape again or he was going to call the police, bc this is theft! After that and letting our food get cold for 30 minutes of arguing, he gave my husband the correct change and didn't apologize. The food was terrible anyway and we will never return.
