After a food crawl of sorts, we were looking to wind down the evening here, but evidently this place keeps the party going, late night. A spacious spot, with plenty of seating for both small and large groups, this is definitely spot where you can come kick it and hang for a minute. My friend and were immediately drawn to the smoothie and juice section. So many combinations to check out. I ended up going with the Diwan Smoothie (their most popular smoothie), and my friend got something similar that also added in some bananas. About half of the orders were pick ups and the rest were people who decided to stay in the café and enjoy the music. I'm definitely returning to this one! Places like Starbucks, Biggby and Tim Hortons pale in comparison to these new breed of Yemeni coffee shops popping up everywhere. I guess they deserve it since coffee was basically invented in Yemen and then shared with the world.

Dellah is located on a mixed residential and commercial street with plenty of parking nearby. We chose to eat lunch here in June 2026 since it wasn't too far from our hotel and we saw that they had outdoor seating - important since we had my little dog with us. The place was very busy but since we were eating outside, we had no wait and we were waited upon promptly. There are a LOT of American choices on here (like sugary pancakes) but a third of the menu consists of Yemeni food. I got a traditional Yemeni tea ($4.50) and my boyfriend sipped on a smooth matcha latte ($6.50). We had a big breakfast that morning, so we chose to just share the lahm sighar ($20), which comes with a piece of khuba bread, and also order an additional khuba bread ($2). About 15 minutes later, our food was ready and after taking the necessary pictures, we dug in! Needless to say, the extra bread was not necessary. I don't know what we were thinking but we assumed a piece of khuba was small. Nope! Each piece is the size of my 17-inch computer. Anyway, we used bits of the khuba as silverware to pick up the deliciously tender lahm sighar, something I saw others do when I went inside to use the bathroom and nosily looked around. I must mention that the BATHROOM HAS A BIDET. I REPEAT. BATHROOM HAS A BIDET!!!! Hehe :) seeing it just made me happy lol. So anyway, I saw that the coffee section of Dellah is set up inside like a traditional coffee shop where you can grab and go some coffee, tea, and pastries if you'd like. Every team member said their food was good. The scrambled eggs are a tad runny and looked a bit puréed. The fasolia has good flavor and even better with some heat. It came out piping hot. Without the added eggs, this dish would be woefully lacking in substance for me. I would likely still be left hungry with the beans alone, since I don't eat the bread, generally. I tried the bread to give it a go, it's good. The Greek salad is nicely plated or bowled rather. The ingredients are in separate piles and looks like a pinwheel. The red onions were crudely cut. The tomatoes looked wrinkled and not so appealing. The Greek salad was underwhelming for me. The tea doesn't taste good, definitely need some honey, sugar or the milk here, although I favor nothing in my tea.
