Food isn't enjoyable if you have a preference for flavoring. Expect hot pizza, lack of striking qualities,but very crispy pepperoni and very thick, soft bread with a bit of crisp right at the edge. Not too smoky, very little flavor. I could taste the oil to know it is infact there, but it is also not as overbearing as opposed to most places that sell pizza. The ambiance of the place has a very typical pizza place feel to it. Area is clean, last time the cleanliness was not as apparent--spills and crums were left on tables. But now, we see a significant difference. Slightly cleaner.Lastly, I have zero complaints on service so far. Need more details, check below. The rest of my review is written from the pool, fingers slightly wet, though my phone has grown accustomed to these conditions, so it is currenly floating on it's own accord as we speak. Yes, I feel it's crisp and it is super crispy,but there was zero to no flavor at all whatsoever. Cheese; could barely taste it. This may be flavorful to a kid, that I may aknowledge. Perhaps maybe it is not suitable to fit my taste buds. But I will only speak from the honesty of my own experience. However, I will give credit to where it is due. The barbecue sauce gave it a million times more flavor than on it's own. So it certainly did turn out to be a decent lunch. And my sister and brother are not as picky with flavoring and seemed to enjoy it. My mother would probably continue buying from this restaurant regardless. Located on L1, lowest level, right next to the arcade. There's a few tables inside and in front of the place, so not a sit down restaurant. There's a few kiosks inside and outside of the restaurant where you place your order. Got a build your own pizza, half pepperoni and half cheese. For $23, we got an 8 slice pizza that was enough for 2 adults and 2 young kids. Pizza was pretty solid. Crisp bottom, tender dough, not bad for a water park. Came out in about 15 minutes. Easy to kill time in the arcade if you need a distraction. read more

This pizza place is located inside the Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove. This pizza place is very convenient because it's just there the moment you get out of the Water Park. There are plenty of tables to dine in and you can order your pizza here and you can bring the pizza inside the Water park and eat there. We always order their CARNIVORE here, it has a red sauce, 5 cheese blend, Italian sausage, bacon, and Canadian bacon, this is mostly what my Son and his friends like here. Good-sized pizza and it's filled with lots of meat, actually pretty good. I always order twice here when we are staying at Great Wolf lodge, one when I bring these pizza's inside the water park for my Son and his friends, and one at night to bring back to our Room as a back up snack at night when everything around the area is already closed. June 4, 2025 - We tried this place when we stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge. We ordered one of their family meals that came with pizza, wings, salad, bread and a 2-liter soda for $53. This was a pretty good deal for the amount of food you get. I was surprised with the quality. It was pretty good. There were just a couple small tables, this is more for pick-up. We didn't wait too long for the food to come. There was always staff to assist if we needed help and ample amount of needed supplies like, utensils, napkins, sauces, parmesan and chili flakes etc. Highly recommend, convenient and good value for the price. read more

Hungry as a Wolf is the pizza place in the basement of Great Wolf Lodge, next to the water park, the bowling alley, and the arcade. It is not a restaurant you go to because you're in Garden Grove and feel like pizza. You are only there because you are a guest/captive at Great Wolf Lodge, and you need to eat and feed your children within its walls. Given this, the place is better than it has to be. Ordering is fast and convenient--I used a touchscreeen terminal--and the people are perfectly friendly. I was surprised, though, that I put my phone number in and never got a text alert that my food was ready. I went to check on my order when it seemed like a long time had passed, and the guy working there told me it had just come out (who knows how long it had been exactly, but the food was still plenty warm). When I asked about the text, he said the service was spotty down there, which was true enough. I picked up my order and took it to the bowling alley, where I managed to get a few bites into my hyper children. The food was fine. I'd even say that the pizza was good, in a bready, cheap pizza kind of way (though of course it isn't cheap). We got cheese and pepperoni and they were both pretty satisfying. The chicken alfredo pasta was more of a mistake. It wasn't terrible, but it was quite salty, and no one really ate it. There were lots of beverage options on hand, and I got my kids some Honest apple juice. My husband obtained some draft Modelos, though he might have just gotten them from the bar area closer to the bowling alley. It was chaotic, so who's to say, but Hungry as a Wolf did offer beer. I've certainly had better pizza--three times in the two weeks since our visit, in fact--but this place exceeded my expectations. Went today for dinner, I wish there were more seats and tables for us to sit at but we just went back to the hotel. We got the family meal and an extra bowl of alfredo pasta. The place felt really empty when we went to pick it up. When we went back to the hotel, I tried the pasta it was okay, but some noodles felt undercooked.. and it just didnt look appetizing. The wings are good though! I didnt get to try the "breadsticks" but it was so burnt at the bottom... the pizza wasnt the best either but it was exceptional. I ordered a pizza and requested no buffalo sauce. It turns out they did add buffalo sauce and my kids could not eat the pizza. The kids tried to eat the pizza but could not.So we threw their slices away.We turned the pizza back into them and asked if they would make a new one, and the manager offered me "a personal pizza because we had already eaten some of the pizza" LOL You can't make this stuff up man lol.. It's simple customer service. The convenience of this pizza parlor was such a blessing. Stayed at the great wolf lodge and we did not feel like leaving the hotel to get food so we ordered the family meal after getting out the pool knowing they may take a while for the food due to the crowds coming and going. Ordering from the kiosk was nice and easy and received a text that the food was ready within 20 mins. Picking up the order was easy as well as the workers were handing you the order and any other amenities that were needed they were friendly and helpful! Yes.... It's super expensive because it's one of the few places to eat inside of Great Wolf Lodge. The pizza is meh. Nothing special, but, passing for the kids. The wings though.... I never thought of doing wings like this and all wings will never be the same for me. They fry these lil things like they're making fried chicken, then they toss it around in Buffalo sauce. Food is not good at all but the manager who oversees this place as of 11-6-25 is just super unprofessional. My family and I were disrespected by him and I hope that the great wolf lodge does a better job in their selection of management. My friend who ordered is named Richard Heady, and they thought it was a joke. You know, a fake name. I was soo embarrassed by the lack of professionalism. This manager even asked us to leave the restaurant to eat in private. They took our money for that horrible pizza but wouldn't let us eat at the restaurant. That's weak. The service at this place is terrible. You have teenagers running the place and all they do is chi chat among each other instead of seeing if someone needs help. Management needs to keep an eye on their teenage employees. Went in for a mobile order and there was 3 teenagers in the mobile area and instead of asking if the people standing there needed help, they were laughing and talking with each other. We got both the normal pizza and the Detroit style gluten free and they both left much to be desired. I found the pizzas to be undercooked, and cheese was not fully melted. The X-Large pizza (16 inches) consists of 8 slices, which is not an X-Large. We ended up ordering pizza to be delivered to the hotel because our 4 boys were still hungry after we enjoyed some time in the arcade. Again, the food was good yet expensive. The service was okay. They asked what kind of salad we wanted and I chose Cesar. They gave me the salad but no dressing. I went back about 20 seconds later to ask for the dressing and he asked what kind and I repeated Cesar. They also said that the soda was to our right, but then we went back and asked them for cups. Everything here is overpriced for mediocre food, which I guess is to be expected as a restaurant inside the lodge. What I did not expect was the level of penny pinching. They make you scan a code on your drink cup at the soda fountain, which only allots you a certain amount of soda. Which we did not find out until we tried a bit of one drink, poured it out because it was disgusting, and tried to get another drink. To their credit, they let us get another drink after we explained what had happened, but I've never encountered such stringent soda machine methods before. Even if you pay extra for the unlimited refills, you can still only fill up every 7 minutes. I feel like implementing a system like this on your cups is probably more expensive than syrup for your soda machine?! Anyway, pizza and pasta were okay, nothing to write home about. Adding an extra star for the helpful employee who helped call around when I left my purse there. read more

We stayed at Great Wolf right prior to Thanksgiving on Sunday/Monday night. We were wiped the drive from the Bay & slides all day on Sunday, we decided to stay in. We ordered cheesy bread, a large 2 topping pizza, & fettuccine Alfredo. The food was hurting to put it kindly. I was seeing the man about a horse the whole next day practically. It's weird because the other places here food is pretty good. Breakfast buffet is close to excellent, snack shacks at the pool above average, ice cream shop, Dunkin Donuts, both good. The food quality at the pizza place though is terrible. Nothing about being hot or prepped either, it's just cheap ingredients. They gotta do what they can to upgrade that. They're making money hand over fist, people should be eating good here, especially when they're still paying for it, not like it comes with the room. read more

This is a convenient meal while staying at The Great Wolf Lodge. They have a large seating area as well and offer pick up to take to your room. The pizza we ordered came out quickly and the kids loved it. I ordered the buffalo wings, which looked super greasy without the crisp more like something that was cooked and cooked again. I could only take a bite. They gladly took it back, but told me I have to wait 10 mins for the manager. My son also found a brown piece of something that looked like a piece of wood in his pizza. They apologized and were gonna look into. Possibly something that got thrown in with the mushroom topping from the manufacturer it was they told me. So my family went to play at the attached arcade. Then when the manager got there he said I don't have to wait for him and he'll just adjust it to my room. Tips- I would give this place a try. The only reason this restaurant is have 2 stars is because of its location. It's right next to the water park inside the Great Wolf Lodge, how can you be more convenient than that. But the pizza is definitely only mediocre. The crust is NOT hard crusty enough. Got that kinda soggy feel. Cheese is stringy but doesn't taste very good. It's just very average. I am very surprised that they can make such a bad pizza because they were using those big fire pit thing. We also try their pasta with meatball, I can't imagine how yucky it tastes. The pasta is very soft, obviously over cooked. And only 2 meatballs given for the half family size. My son tastes the hot sub sandwich, he said that it was ok. As for the service, what is that? Is there such a thing? Every server (except one) looks mean and bored, never greeted anyone with a smile. And while I am waiting for take out. They constantly talking to themselves. And never interested in their customer. Seriously, if you stay in the lodge, you should just drive and get better food else where. read more

If I could give a 2.5 I would. I would say everything here is average. It is a counter order/pager type place. The staff was nothing special. The configuration of the place is a bit awkward. The Great Wolf Lodge does not mess around. They certainly know exactly what they're doing to ensure that we do not eat elsewhere while we are enjoying the water park. They check everything you bring in to the water park to ensure no outside food or snacks get in upon entry. For us, one meal is usually burgers inside the park, and the other is going to be pizza and pasta from this place. The pasta is better than the pizza, but both are plenty good for amusement park food. However, I really wrote this review to warn (or help) others out there. Here it is: the little containers of sauce for the taking along with the other condiments is NOT MARINARA. It's HOT SAUCE. Best damn pizza I've had in a long time! I have to tell you I was very suspect about theme park pizza. This place blew my family away. At only $16 for a full large pepperoni pizza with supper soft dough new York style foldable. The kids were all in heaven. I generally try to stay away from high carbs but the smell and with my husbands coaxing it was well worth the calories and carbs. Pizza place is right next to the arcade, which is open 24 hours. We had a pizza here at 5pm and ordered another at 10pm to take to our room. That is how good it was. I think the sauce and how much delicious melted cheese they put. Quality. Due to construction in the hotel, you had to order online or at the kiosk in front of the make shift pick up counter in the lobby. We placed our order at 1:50pm, with a food ready/pick up time of 2:30pm. At 2:30, they had our garlic bread, salad, and 2 liter, but no pizza. Half an hour later, we were told they were remaking our pizza, but no answer as to why or what happened. Then half an hour after that, we finally had our full order. This spot is located in the Great Wolf Lodge lower level. We grabbed a pizza here for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. We opted for the carnivore pizza which included pepperoni, sausage, and sliced meatballs. Either we were super hungry, or this pie was that good, but we ended up devouring that thing. It might have been a combination of both. We actually had seconds the next day, and grabbed more Hungry Like A Wolf food for dinner. The food was good the first time around so why not do it again?! We tried the pizza a year ago the last time we stayed at GWL and I remember it being slightly above mediocre. It was nothing memorable but not terrible. My most recent experience made me wonder if I was eating from the same restaurant. It was much worse, unfortunately. The pizza dough was more like a thick creepe. Upon holding a slice of the pie it slumped down like a mopey teenager plagued by boredom. The sauce was too sweet, thankfully there was little sauce on the pizza.
