Food was a 10/10. Service was great also, super friendly and quick. We did go a bit early so it wasn't busy but overall ambiance was nice!

Excellent service and food. All of the food was perfectly cooked and came out quickly very large portions and so delicious. The ambience was great, cute decor, mellow music and live musicians who played a few songs.

Decided to try out this new business that opened recently around me and everything was stellar. I walked past them once and they weren't very busy and decided to look them up and saw only good reviews. The chips I can tell are made in house and the salsa is so spicy but yummy. The soup has a spicy ish seafood taste but I really liked it too. Torta was good with good portions and came with avocado! Very lovely. They definitely deserve more business, a lot of care is placed into the food

mole plate (lunch special)

Food: Ordered the lunch special (mole plate). The order also came with complimentary chips, salsa, and a soup. Mole itself was tasty. Chicken was tender. Tortillas were thick (thicker than the normal ones you buy at the grocery store). That said, lunch was almost 20 bucks (18.00) for two pieces of chicken and sides. Food is good but it can be a tad pricey. Service was good. Very friendly. Answered all my questions in a kind manner. No complaints. Ambience: Beach themed inside. Outside looks a bit normal. Overall a very nice family owned restaurant. Definitely worth it to try to place out!

Aguachiles y Taco Al Gobernador

Absolutely amazing mariscos spot! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The chips and salsa were perfect, nice and crunchy with a good level of spice. The music was also my fav-chill Spanish music that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The aguas frescas were incredibly refreshing and delicious. We ordered the aguachiles, filete a la diabla, taco de gobernador, and a tostada de pulpo, and every single dish was packed with flavor! My mom's favorite was definitely the filete a la diabla, the spiciness was spot on hehe A huge plus is that the tortillas are handmade, which really takes everything to the next level. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite. Highly recommend this place if you're craving authentic, flavorful seafood with great vibes and amazing service. We'll definitely be back! (They even gave us complimentary ice cream towards the end, so sweet!)

The food was excellent! Freshly opened when I got here, found it through Yelp and as usual wasn't disappointed. Good service, pleasant and unusual custom made decore. Overall a pleasant experience. I live out of state so probably won't be able to come back, but I encourage others to try this place out and help them succeed.

It's been about 7 years since my initial review for Oc & Lau Restaurant & here I am, still coming…read morehere religiously whenever my fam and I are in town. If that bit of consistency doesn't speak volumes I don't know what will. Oc & Lau specializes in Vietnamese street food and essentially works in family style dining. Everything is brought out in platters & large bowls where food is shared amongst the table. The menu is filled with Vietnamese salads, snails, assortment of seafoods, rice, noodles, and hotpot. Vegetarian options are available. As if the menu isn't extensive enough, there is a whole section of drinks- alcoholic & non alcoholic. Must haves: *COCONUT ESCARGOT w/ BASIL LEAVES *GRILLED GARLIC BUTTER ESCARGOT *GRILLED RAZOR CLAMS IN GARLIC BUTTER & PEPPERCORNS *GRILLED RAZOR CLAMS IN TAMARIND SAUCE *SALT & PEPPER SQUID *SPICY GRILLED CHICKEN FEET *RARE BEEF SALAD *DEEP FRIED QUAIL IN BUTTER HOUSE SAUCE *GARLIC BUTTER QUEEN CLAMS The food is authentic and genuinely great! Ingredients are always fresh and the quality is on point. My complaints stem from the restaurant ALWAYS being "sold out" of the razor clams and the stir fried basil clams coming out soupy and off tasting to what they normally should taste like. Not too big of a deal once you factor in all the other great qualities Oc & Lau has. The pricing is costly and the portions can be small depending on what you are ordering. Things add up quite quickly since my family and I eat to get stuffed. Lmao. 5/5 stars because a trip to LA isn't a trip to LA without visiting O&L!!! I'll forever be a fan!!

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!

Nova was a pleasant surprise as we had no dinner plans made for our Disneyland vacation…read more Even before checking into our hotel (the Hyatt Regency conveniently located next to Nova), we saw the huge sign on the side of the building advertising their happy hour. We decided to give it a try on our first night. Everything from the staff friendliness to the ambiance to the taste of the food was exceptional! The specialty drinks were delicious, and the happy hour prices were more than reasonable. Everything was so good that we went back for a second happy hour in a row. The second visit was just as enjoyable, so much that we decided to visit on Sunday to check out their all you can eat brunch. The selections were amazing with a few exceptions. Some standouts were the ube pancakes, matcha French toast, Toro tartare toast, and garlic scallop fried rice. Some items on the menu left more to the imagination such as the spicy tuna crispy rice, which had no distinct flavor, and the fried oysters. Outside of those selections, the brunch options were amazing and worth the cost. Shout out to Ryan and Koda for the hospitality, and the bartenders that served us during happy hour. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone visiting Orange County!
