I came to eat at pasta party a few days ago after telling myself to visit for a long time now. I still remember the old deli that was there prior to this restaurant and I've seen numerous social media ads and posts about the place so I wanted to check it out. I think I was a little hesitant because in my head I was thinking how good could possibly really be? In my head spaghetti/pasta is something I can make it home and almost thought it a waste of money to go out of my way to go out specifically to eat this dish. I ordered the Arrabiata pasta with the sausage. I'll admit I was a little thrown off by added cost of each tolling and also added cost of the Arrabiata sauce and I also did wait until a fair amount before the food was ready for takeout. But the pasta really blew me away. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted. I would definitely come back and I actually wanna bring my dad who loves spicy pasta like this. It was really that good. I can't think of another place that has this level of pasta let alone this price. The only negative I would say in regards to one of the workers. The cashier was manned by wonderful woman who did every and all tasks from taking the orders to putting food items in the oven to answering the phone I'm probably much more than that. I don't know. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time. I'm not sure why this place has good reviews. Their prices are unreasonable and their portions are small. Their chicken parmigiana was just okay with such small portions. The bread they served while we waited for food was extremely salty and inedible. Their steak Italian sandwich was dry. It needed sauce or something. This used to be our favorite pizza place, but unfortunately it seems like something has changed. Whether it's new ownership or new management, the quality and service have gone downhill. Our last two visits have both had issues. On our previous order, our pizza literally had a hole in it. We decided to give them another chance today, and it was even worse. I placed an order online, only to have it canceled because they no longer accept orders through that website. Fine, I downloaded the new app and placed the order there instead. When I arrived at my scheduled pickup time, they told me my pizza had gotten stuck to the pan and they couldn't sell it to me. I asked how long it would take to make another one, and they said they were out of dough... at 12:00 p.m. The most frustrating part is that they had plenty of time to call me or cancel the order through the app before I drove all the way there. Instead, they let me make the trip just to tell me they couldn't fulfill my order. It's disappointing because this used to be one of our favorite pizza spots. Ordered spaghetti with tomato basil sauce and added a meatball ($5.50) and also ordered the Cacio e Pepe. First off if you charge $5.50 for a single meatball, I expect that meatball to be the size of a softball and taste amazing. I got a meatball that was barely bigger than the size of the plastic fork prongs and it had literally no seasoning. It was literally just an unseasoned ground beef ball. For Cacio e Pepe, they seemed to have forgotten both the Cacio and the Pepe. Just butter noodles essentially and not even really flavorful for that. I hate to give bad reviews, but I needed to update my previous review of this place. It's been a while since I came back from the first time I came here, and I don't know if I'll be coming back. I placed a DoorDash order for ASAP pickup of a 16" pizza. Placed the order at 4:35 pm with an ETA of 15-20 minutes. The app said it should be ready before 5 pm. Keep in mind, I intentionally placed the order early so that my 2 year old would have food at her normal dinner time. When I entered the restaurant, there were a few customers who didn't know what's going on. Neither did I. There wasn't anyone at the cashier's area. I had to flag the lady down to ask about my order. This was around 4:50 ish, so I don't mind waiting 10 minutes for my pizza. However, at 5, they didn't even start making my pizza, let alone put it in the oven. It's not until 5:21 pm that the pizza finally made its way out of the oven. It was disappointingly slow. Good news, though, I was able to write this review while I waited for my pizza and I finally got out of there by 5:23 pm. Also, one more thing to note, it felt like they were definitely short staffed and the person who was taking the orders at the front was also the person who was making the pizza. However, I noticed that she didn't use any gloves when making the pizza after transitioning from taking orders nor did I see her wash her hands. In-laws felt like Italian and this place had very high reviews. I would categorize this as "American Italian" and this isn't a bad thing, just know what to expect and don't compare this to what you had in Italy. They let you build your own pizza and pasta so it's a bit mis en place to customize your order to however you want. There is an "IG wall" you can take pictures at but it's located in a tiny normal strip mall and besides the website and social media pictures a pretty normal restaurant. Margherita Pizza :Tomato, Ricotta, Fresh Basil. Very sparse ricotta on this and felt like not enough cheese was used, see pictures. Cacio e Pepe: Spaghetti noodles, Pecorino Romano, Parmigiano, Olive Oil and Black Pepper. With sausage added, it was OK, too al dente and slightly under cooked. We saw online that they have daily lunch specials but it's not advertised in the restaurant. The staff had to dig around for a while to find the lunch menu. It's basically $2-$3 off select dishes. We ended up ordering the chicken parm and the 12in short rib sandwich. Total was about $47 for both. Pretty pricey. The chicken parm barely had any pasta. What can I say? I wanted carbs for lunch! Ordered a braised short rib pasta, meat lover pizza, and garlic bread. The one thing I was really eyeing was the pasta. The short ribs in there were so tender. They have nice pieces lathered onto the noodles. The noodles were nice and bouncy. They are wide and long, so fun to eat and just delicious. Would order this again! The meat lover pizza was amazing. My kids loved it, nice thin crush, nicely layered with cheese and just an overall yummy pizza. The garlic bread was a 6/10 not crazy over them. Service was good, the gal who took my order was down to earth. I waited about 15 mins until my entire order was done . Not too bad for all that food. I was told about this place a long time ago by a family member who lived in the area at the time, but had since moved away. So, really no reason for me to visit after that. Came across it again on a shopping trip for pet food and thought I'd stop by finally. Location: On the corner of Glassell and Lincoln Ave it's in a small strip mall with a private parking lot, but shared. Customer service is good and the ambiance was like walking onto a sidewalk cafe for a break after a shopping trip. Food: I wasn't feeling brave enough to chose my own plate, so I went with their braised beef ravioli in pink sauce. Wasn't expecting the mush like consistency of the filling, but I couldn't fault them the freshness of their pasta. There's just a taste you get from fresh made pasta you don't get with packaged ones. The pink sauce was divine and i liked it. Larger appetites will think the serving too small, but was just right for me since I had garlic bread. 8/10 The garlic bread wasn't my favorite. Too much oil/butter on the bread and not enough time in the oven or on the pan for a crust on the top. I was given the option of cheese on top but i passed on it. Maybe i should have gotten the cheese on top as that might have given me a crust on top of the bread. Summary: I left full and satisfied except for that garlic bread. Maybe next time I'll branch out and build my own next time. The menu looks inviting with endless combination possibilities. Adding a protein to your dish will be an extra charge. I came to this place because of their reviews, but was disappointed in my experience. The restaurant was nearly empty while we were there and it took 45 minutes for our food to be ready. I understand people have off days, but the staff wasn't very friendly and seemed annoyed when asked questions (ie asked for a water cup because none were available). Braised beef ravioli - 6/10, beef was flavorful, sauce was bland BOYP (pappardelle, pink sauce, and sausage) - 3/10, the up charges on this felt excessive (ie $2 for pappardelle + $3 for pink sauce + $3.50 for sausage), the sauce was not flavorful, the pasta was cooked well, sausage was okay Garlic bread - 2/10, no garlic flavor I am tempted to try their pizza in the future, but would not re-order pasta. My boyfriend and I went on a Tuesday night and we got the pasta trio! First of all, the service was incredible, the lady there was so helpful and sweet. The food was also incredible. The pasta and sauces were sooo good. They were just right, they didn't make me feel all nasty after the fact, like some pastas do. The place was also nice! Food was delicious, but service was even better. The restaurant felt very homey and welcoming and the mini vespas were a nice touch. Alex recommended the short rib pasta, beef braised ravioli, or gnocchi and I opted for the short rib pasta. My husband, our 3 boys and i stayed at a local hotel so we chose this place for dinner based off the yelp reviews. I'm happy we did because they did not disappoint. The server dropped some bread on my table and walked off. Individual butter packets that took two packets to spread across one small piece of bread. Bread was boring and nothing worth even eating. I barely ate one tiny slice. Pasta finally arrived and even though I requested Al Dente it was too soft and over cooked. Sauce was decent but needed way more garlic. The meatballs‍...the meatballs‍...were lukewarm and were so tough I could barely cut through it with a fork. They were chewy and tasteless. I got the sense they were left over from the days before, perhaps even frozen and reheated. The only positive was the new young girl at the counter who just started working here. She was pleasant and happy. The other employee assisting her appeared miserable and just gave off a bad vibe. Owners may want to intervene and rethink having this person interacting with customers. I especially love that it came with complimentary bread and butter. We got the fettuccine Alfredo, which was so delicious and probably my favorite of the three. Decided to give this pasta place to try since we were in the area. This was actually our first time seeing and hearing about it but after looking at several other reviews, we were intrigued. We both did the build your own pasta I got penne noodles, and some kind of spicy garlic red sauce with the meatball and my sister got the exact same thing except she got fettuccine noodles. We were unaware that when we got meatballs it literally just came with one giant funny looking meatball we were under the impression it was going to be multiple meatballs. We also got garlic bread. The garlic bread was amazing. Let's start with that. The garlic bread was so good. It had a wonderful crisp and grateful flavor extra garlic, but I like that. The pasta was OK. I literally can just say that the pasta was OK. I feel like it was too spicy to enjoy and the one big old meatball was throwing me off. I ended up having to cut it in multiple pieces. It wasn't nothing to rant or rave about literally the garlic bread was the best part. I would not recommend the pasta that I had normal my sister I probably should have just stuck to something simple like chicken Alfredo. The customer service was really good. The lasagna classica name should be changed. The sauce was really good. But to me it wasn't the sauce I'm used to. But I did lick the plate clean. The lasagna was very rich and creamy. Does the Italian guy even own this place anymore? Seems that this place may be under new ownership because it has gone downhill fast. Didn't see any Italians in there. Ordered the 12" Italian cold deli sandwich. First thing we noticed was the 3% extra charge for a credit card. We were the only people there when we ordered and about 5 min. later a family of 3 came in. We wanted a diet coke which they only had in cans, so we only got 1 and a water cup. The water is in a canister sitting on the table which I always feel uncomfortable about not knowing if, or when, it has been cleaned. Filled my cup and it was almost warm and had a sweet taste to it? Threw it out. The table we sat at had water dripping from a old rusty swamp cooler overhead that wasn't working very good to cool the air. When we mentioned this to the guy who took our order, he acted like it was news to him. Water was dripping on the table and on the floor and it wasn't new, I guarantee this. It was rusty water on our table. I told one of the three guys that appeared to be working on our sandwich that we had changed our mind and we wanted it "to go". The guy at the counter was still taking the order from the family of 3. After a very long time waiting on them to put a sandwich together, my husband noticed 1 of the guys putting a sandwich in the pizza oven with lettuce and tomato on it. He said to him, "that's not our sandwich, is it?", yes it was. He told him no, we wanted the Italian cold cut sandwich cold, not hot especially when you put it in a super-hot pizza oven WITH lettuce and tomato on it. How gross would that be! They pulled it out right away but did make us a new one without us asking....so again, the waiting game. Finally, we received our sandwich and left to go eat it at the park. When we opened it, we could tell right away it was very dry crumbly bread and a lot of it with very little meat. This bread did not seem like "sandwich" bread. It was very dense, dry, crumbling and thick. We were both starving by then and decided to eat it anyway. Two bites in I opened it up because it just didn't taste like an Italian sandwich and sure enough, no mortadella, no Italian dressing, no pepperoncini's and instead they put some turkey in it. We returned and the guy at the cash register acted completely shocked and said he would talk to the guys in the back about it and refunded our money....we hope, haven't seen it yet, just the $22.+ charge. read more

Food was good for kids but ambiance was terrible! Boiling hot in there at 6:30pm, everyone was sweating. How do you have a restaurant without air conditioning or any air flow at all? Two sets of music were playing, one for kitchen staff and one for customers, equally loud and fighting each other. Space is small and one party of slightly loud people (I don't blame them) is enough to make it unbearable. Clearly understaffed and food took ages. Phones constantly ringing. My sister and I ordered cheesy garlic bread, pasta, and a sandwich. The price is completely reasonable and worth it for what we received. I could see parking being limited if at a busy weekend dinner time. FOOD - I was realllyyyy craving short rib pasta and this place definitely did not disappoint! So delicious and so good. I would say that the garlic bread that was given with it wasn't that great. If was better quality, it would make it soo much better. But for the pasta, no complaints! SERVICE - The guys working were very friendly, helpful, and great. Because the kitchen is at the front, you can see them working on your order. They worked well together and you can tell they like their jobs. Wait wasn't too quick, which is totally okay knowing I was waiting for something fresh. AMBIANCE - I came in at off hours, so they had plenty dine-in seating and tables. I love the decor and the ambiance of it all. Will be coming again when I want a good pasta-fix!
