The food was good and came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time! The new hostess who seated us was awesome, friendly and professional! The waitress was absolutely the rudest waitress I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She charged us extra for her mistake and then literally threw the money/refund at me while I was saying she could keep it as as tip! She said no shaking her head while walking away. I can not believe that any owner or manager would allow customers to be treated that way. Really to bad because other then her our experience was pretty good. We were in Cody for one night after a week of camping in Yellowstone. I was looking forward to a meal I didn't have to cook myself! This is a little off the main road. It is a small restaurant that was packed. We had excellent friendly service and the food came out quickly and was nice and hot! For our family of 5 our meal came to $26.00. Came here after downtown was too crowded. Servers seemed a bit overwhelmed and it took a while to have our order taken and to eventually get our check. House salad is shredded iceberg with some tomato, green peppers and onion--not imaginative but fresh enough. We only ordered off the appetizer menu, and the place was full of locals. Maybe if we had ordered from the entree menu, we'd have found out why they are all here. As it is, we are still unsure. read more

I beg to differ with you Michael. Your waitress said that it is 3.00 for 1 meatball each. So, a total of $6.00. I do know this because she has told us this before, and we have always paid the extra $6.00 for 2 extra meatballs. The drinks are so huge that I do not need an refill. I have asked around with friends and they have all said that your prices are unbelievably high. We went in one time and bought a pizza and it was close to $40 for a take out pizza. I just refuse to go to your establishment and feel like I have gotten screwed without a kiss! read more

Flavor: well I must say there sauce seemed very well thought out and robust, the sausage was tasty as well, over all pretty good but a little greasy... Just flew into Cody to drive to Yellowstone. The food and staff were fantastic. Chiller dog was huge and tasty. The fries are some of the best we've had. The Avacado taco salad was yummy. If you are moving quickly, stop by The Hungry Bear! read more

We are from Las Vegas and were recommended to eat At your establishment. We were told that it was an amazing place that had home cooked food. We were not disappointed! Being from Las Vegas, having fresh beef that taste this good is incredibly uncommon. We were excited at the taste, and truly loved the Alicia burger! So grateful for the experience! Great food, excellent service. We had to have our car serviced and the Hungry Bear was recommended by the local Lincoln dealership. We explained our situation and they were nice enough to let us stay in the restaurant until our ride came. The people are super friendly and the food is just super delicious and it's just a ma n pa cozy restaurant. It has a really great atmosphere for the most part, and you get served with a smile!
