We had a party of two and started with the arugula beet salad to share. It was delicious with flavors that complimented each other. For main course we ordered the shrimp and grits , and filet mignon. What we got was shrimp and grits, and skirt steak well done. The steak was on a scoop of potato's and bok choy which is what the filet mignon was to come with. It would appear the kitchen messed up and not the wait person by putting in the wrong order. The mistake was rectified, and the filet was delicious as was the shrimp and grits. A second glass of wine was comped for the mistake but it meant that one of us had our meal and the other didn't. Filet mignon was the most expensive item on the menu at $54. Skirt steak was $32. I would go back again as there were other yummy sounding dishes I want to try. Atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly and courteous. read more

This is one of those rare places where not only do you enjoy the food, but you feel really good while eating there and having the experience. What a hidden gem!! I came here because I saw some good reviews from other folks, and honestly, all those reviews were a total understatement! I am a super picky person when it comes to food and drinks, and they truly went above and beyond here. First, the drinks. I tried the watermelon margarita, their mezcal margarita (I forget the cute bake they gave it on the menu), and the sangria. I was blown away by how flavorful everything was. The watermelon margarita was especially delicious, with all fresh ingredients, and a little bit of a zip with the spicy rim on the glass. It was so refreshing! Everything was made with fresh ingredients and I can't say enough good things about it. The food was truly remarkable. Everything I had was so full of flavor without being overdone; just the right balance of texture and taste. They use fresh ingredients that could stand on their own, and balance them beautifully with their spices and sauces. I highly recommend the quinoa salad and the goat cheese dip! Next, the ambience was so incredibly welcoming and beautiful. Their decor is so lovely, even sitting inside you get plenty of fresh air, and they have an absolutely charming patio area with a waterfall. If that wasn't awesome enough, every single person who works there that I interacted with was an absolute delight. They were so kind, thoughtful, funny, and truly cared about creating a wonderful experience for each guest. The owners truly care about what they are creating here, and everyone works with so much heart. The lady who took care of me was named Christina, and she was just amazing, with so much positive energy! My only regret is that I didn't come here sooner. Overrated! No way this restaurant is 4.5 stars. 3 of us checked it out today for lunch. We did like the calamari with a very light crust. Thai mussels were just OK and the goat cheese dip just OK, very small serving size. Service was fine. Food average. Prices way out of line: Caesar salad with chicken (which we did not try) $25! Not just the pricing put us off, but quality of the food average compared to prices high end. Liked the patio although too cold today to sit out there. Not sure what is made from scratch per the suggestive name. read more

The place is really nice, especially out in the patio. We came in and ordered the quinoa salad and the blacksmith burger with a side of apple and chive salad. We asked if the quinoa salad was big enough to be a meal or is it more of a side, we were told a meal but the size was not quite a meal for one. Nevertheless, both the presentation and the taste of the dishes were all fantastic. The burger was one of the better ones I've had, cooked well and the quinoa salad was delicious. We arrived at about 7:30 pm on a Wed night with a performance about to start at Red Rocks. Morrison was busy with concert goers. It was busy here at about 80% full. Got a great table out back near the very cool water feature and fun outdoor area. Server was very attentive and was happy to modify our order to address food allergies/preferences. Everything was delicious with generous portion sizes. Stand outs were the burrata and tomato salad (hint: Palisade Peach season - you can sub peaches for tomatoes in this salad!). Brick chicken was awesome, and steak frites was to die for. Mother Nature literally started to rain on our parade, but we got moved indoors out of the severe weather. Why not order dessert to kill some time and let the storm pass by you say? Okay - we got the blondie and it "evaporated" from the plate we devoured it so fast. Doing great until we went to our car and discovered a $50 parking ticket. I blame myself #1 for not reading the sign--we have been to Morrison many times and we always paid for parking on the street. I made the mistake of thinking the parking lot was part of your business. I went back in and talked to some of your staff. When asked some simple questions I discovered that they watched the parking lady ticket me; that they had all received a ticket on their first days of work; and maybe I could find the lady and get her to fix for me. I checked the county records on your property--appears you don't own the parking. Why don't you remind patrons what will happen if they mistakenly park out front and think it's part of your business? How about letting patrons know that their car is in the process of getting a ticket while eating? Had a great meal but we will never darken your doors again. Let Mayor Chris Wolfe know this really turns visitors off. read more

Food was full of flavor, lots of goat cheeses in many of the dishes. Had the quinoa salad, portion sizes were kind of small to average. Service was not the fastest. Ambience is ok, lots of plants, cool bathroom logo, cork wall, and decent sized patio. I would consider coming back here but would be nice if they had a few more food options. read more

The hospitality was amazing as it felt like the entire staff was at our service and our server had David had in-depth descriptions of each item and how they were prepared in their scratch kitchen by the Chef. Place looked promising, but as we sat down, we got very disappointed. Music was very, very loud. Our server (Abby) could not hear anything we asked her, we had to repeat ourselves over and over again. We came during brunch and wanted to order eggs benedict. When we asked to substitute ham, as we do not eat pork at all, they refused. Told us we can order the whole chicken breast if we want something that is not pork. Tried this place recently for the first time. The ambiance is great! Cute layout and design. Not huge so there is a wait and most of the seating is outside or partially outside. It was busy on Friday. Service was good. The food was somewhat good. Goat cheese dip was good but wasn't large enough for the price and we had to ask for more bread. I ordered the steak frites which was bad -- it had a lot of fat and was underdone. I only ate 1/4 of it and when I brought it home, discovered more fat on the rest of it and threw it out. My husband ordered the bolognese which he liked. I thought it was bland. Overall too expensive for what you get. I'll try going again someday when I want to empty my wallet and order completely different things. Hope I'll have a better food experience then. read more

This was our second time visiting "The Goat". Both experiences have been amazing. Their patio is absolutely stunning, the waterfall is really nice as it drowns out the road noise and provides a nice backdrop for photos. Dorothy was our server and she was super friendly, on the spot and proud to be there. Roy, the chef has a great menu and the food is excellent. We stumbled into this cute place when a neighbor restaurant was closed and we were so happy we did! It was Christmas Eve and the restaurant was nicely decorated, cozy and festive. Our waiter was friendly, responsive and helpful with the menu. He took such good care of us and customized our drinks happily. Everything we ordered was so delicious.
