So I placed an order and just because I used my rewards I couldn't get my order remade had to pick this up for my 5year old I placed my order to be ready at 1PM but my amnesia due to pregnancy I forgot till I was heading home around 8PM called and asked if my order can be remade I was told I have to pay because it's going to be a waste of product so I picked up the pizza and I shall be showing this to the morning manager tomorrow because in the fast food industry this should have been remade regardless of why I didn't pick up on time and should have been tossed after an hour of sitting will not be eating here anymore but just a heads up to whom decide to order online. read more

The driver delivered the wrong pizza and upon correcting the order the driver stated he needed the incorrect order back to deliver it to the right customer. If this is their policy I will not order or recommend this place to anyone. At best the pizza that was originally delivered to me should have been trashed. The management when called only offered us a discount on our order, however, the customer that receives the pizza in my home is unaware that their pizza is not coming fresh or untouched from a previous customer. SMH! That's just nasty, unsafe, and unsanitary practices. read more

We have had the Hungry Howie's pizza in Tehachapi, so when we saw tbis one on the east side on our way home, we had to try it. I ordered online for pick up and we had a bigger order. I suggest you avoid this location. We have ordered a handful of times at work and I have always felt a little weird in my stomach after eating their pizza. But, the last time it completely made me sick. I had to leave home early from work and was throwing up on the way home, on the freeway! I give this place four stars only because their delivery service is kind of whack!! I made an online order at 5:20p and it arrived at my house at 5:55 so that was cool but the driver stops right in front of my driveway and honks. Mind you he has no Howie's pizza logo or anything to let me know who he is. I only see a blue mini van blocking my driveway and honking, he stays out there for like 5 minutes waiting for us to come out, which we didn't because AGAIN we didn't know who he was. So I guess he got tired of waiting outside he steps out and is "prowling" in my front yard. I don't have any dogs in my front yard and it's wide open yet he doesn't bother to walk to my door like a normal delivery person. I'm supposed walk out to him. Then I step out my front door and I ask him if I can help him, he asked me if I ordered I pizza, I answered yes, then he says okay and starts walking back towards his van and makes a hand gesture for me to walk to his van and I guess go get my pizza. NASTY!!! DISCUSTING!!! DON'T EAT IT!!! yesterday I purchased 2 pizza from Hungry Howies at 2209 Niles Street. So my daughter and I are up late watching movies I decide to warm us up a couple of pieces. we sit down and I began to cool off a piece for her. When I notice hairs embedded into the cheese. Not only one hair but several hairs!!! So I decided to check the rest of the pizza we have left. & sure enough a few more slices have hairs as well. & not only one but several hairs throughout the cheese. I get so disgusted just a thought of knowing that my daughter my 2 year old daughter actually ate somebody's hairs that were inside our pizza yesterday makes m sick to my stomach. POOR SHIFT MANAGEMENT!! Iv called to the location and the shift manager said there was nothing he could do about it & I would have to call back when the store manage "Sam" is in. I will give four stars for the pizza. Love the flavored crusts and the BBQ chicken pizza is awesome. However the service, especially the delivery service could use some work. I'll be honest, the pizza is quality and actually really good. The customer service however is terrible. Even from the management who is supposed to take care of customer concerns. After having already picked up my order and gotten home with it I open the box to see that its not how I ordered it. So I called down there about it and basically received the brush off from the manager, Jewelia G., whose tone of voice was less than polite, verging on snide. She offered to put the missing toppings on the already made pizza if I "wanted" to come down there but that was all she could do. So I had the choice to either accept less than what I paid for or drive all the way back down there just to have them throw toppings on a, by then, barely warm pizza. We are glad to see a Hungry Howies be closer to home. However, this restaurant needs to have better service. The young lady taking orders over the phone is really quick to cut off your order even if you are still ordering. I had to keep telling her, "No, I also want.... " because she kept asking , "Is that it? ". My order could have been bigger, but she kept rushing me. The wait is one hour, but I understand it's a Saturday at 3pm. I hope they find friendlier employees soon. Hint to Howies: Make it sound like you want to take my order and not like my order is bothering you. To whom it may concern : watch out for the female drivers!! The pizza is delicious and we received it hot however I have a HUGE complaint tonight and that is that the driver was very tacky and I am not even sure what word I would use however she decided she would tip herself with the change she needed to give back to us and this is how she did it... so we handed her 40.00 and our bill was 28.and change and we gave her 40. And the change and she replied she needed to go to her car to get the Change and when she came back she only handed back my husband the 10.00 and walked away. Not the 12.00.. NOW before anybody jumps to conclusions I just have to say we always tip at least 3.00 and sometimes more depending on outstanding service so really she ripped herself off but that is not the point. You just don't do that. You return all money that doesn't belong to you and then you receive your tip. read more
