Man this place is good. I've been here a couple times and the service and food is always great. I usually get the hungry jack. That always seems to fill me up! The only thing I am not a fan of is the sausage links. They just have an odd texture to it idk that's why I usually switch them for the sausage patties. Pancakes are pretty dam good here as well. This place has the heart and soul of a small town restaurant, but has the progressiveness of a big city eatery. The staff are extremely welcoming. The owner/manager fits right in with the line staff. He's so friendly and engaging with the customers that you wouldn't think he's the big boss. So back to the progressiveness! You won't see notepads and pencils when your server takes your order. Their methodology is super modern in that staff use smart phones to relay your orders to the kitchen. It's very streamlined and uniform, and reduces the margin for error in my opinion. The best part about any restaurant is the food, and Hungry Jack will do nothing but satisfy. I've eaten there a number of times and keep going back for good reason. More importantly, they really do create an experience. I took my four year old nephew for the first time and our waitress noticed how much he talked about bacon. This diner is a hidden gem. It's a nice breakfast place that reminds one of ihop or dennys. Right of the bat the friendliness of the staff is apparent. Your seated quickly and drink orders are taken. Menus are clean. This is key because it shows attentiveness to detail. It's extremely hard to keep menus clean in a breakfast restaurant that has syrup. If the place keeps menus clean then the food prep area is clean as well. Orders are put in on smart phones, which is neat. I had the hungry jack and my wife got the res white and blue waffle. Exceptional!!! Only thing I would change is the blueberry topping. Little too thick. But bacon was thick sliced, hash browns were cooked nice and crispy on the outside. Service was great, friendly and the place is very clean. Orders are placed by the server on an electronic hand held device. Why chains don't do this is beyond me. I think this is fantastic!! To repeat the other reviews, it's a great dining option for breakfast or lunch in Crosby (FYI, they close at 5 PM.) The menu has a huge variety of both breakfast and lunch options. The service is very friendly and efficient, even down to the point of them having electronic devices to submit orders (and accept credit cards) right at the table. I was very impressed with my chicken and waffles. While the chicken strips themselves are good, the waffles are sublime. I could well be wrong, but I could swear that there was a strong hint of vanilla seasoning in the waffles which created a slightly sweet breakfast treat. Again, nothing to complain about -- and for me, that's saying something. read more

This morning we wake up to get breakfast and go to this establishment to unreasonable hosting and management. The wait was 30 minutes which isn't long. We received our text message to be sat and when we get to the host stand, our table isn't ready. I didn't see a problem but then we waited another 20 minutes with other parties being sat. When I asked the hostesses, they had attitudes and told me no table is ready. I asked why I received a text and they didn't know and began to laugh with each other. Very unprofessional. When I asked the manager, which was not nice at all, he went on to tell us he has been doing this 27 years and he knows what he is doing. I was asking a simple question and was scolded. He then proceeded to say that we were next and the meal would be on them and told us, and I quote, " we're sitting you next sir and the meal will be on us because we are stupid and don't know what we are doing." What a pompous piece of work the manager was. I don't need you charity sir and I rather starve then receive a meal from you! I've been to hungry Jack and the food is awesome.
