The polenta stick was new to me as I have never had polenta before, yet I won't turn down the offer. It was crispy on the outside, and soft inside, adding the marinara sauce gave more flavor to the blend polenta. Both appetizers would have tasted better if a little salt or more flavour was added. I have ordered the "tonnarelli zucca e porcini", aka mushroom pasta with butternut squash puree topped with burrata cheese. The pasta was made in-house and cooked to al dente, it has that doughy and chewy texture hence you could tell it's not the supermarket ones. The puree was light so it counteracted the heaviness of the pasta, yet it was little flavour, I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any flavour.

For our main dishes, I had settled on the veal masala with a mushroom sauce, with a side of vegetables and one potato (which I found a bit odd). The veal was tender, however, there was hardly any of it, along with the potatoes, which consisted of, only one potato. The vegetables were plentiful though, which was what filled me up. My mother had settled on the chicken, which one again, had one potato, and too much cream sauce. The pasta that my daughter ordered had a lot of meat in the sauce however, the meat was salty, and the pasta didn't have enough salt on it. Considering the price that we had paid, we were expecting a better array of food alas, we were disappointed. We even asked if complimentary bread was given, with the waitress looking confused. The centers weren't really cooked through. A lady at the table next to us had it worse...almost all of hers were undercooked. I overheard them asking the server if the beef was ground in house or not. I expected to hear just a yes or a no, but the answer from the server was that "they chop it in house". Carbonara sauce seasoning & texture were right, and on-point, plenty cheese and bacon. Good amount of black pepper to enhance tastes of all of the above. Happy experience :)
