We were happy overall with their service. We also purchased roof insurance and glad we did. The roof inspector after the fumigation identified a few broken tiles which were fixed. Hungry Terminate subcontracts with 2 companies for this job, Solo Roofing and a fumigation company. Both were great! Solo Roofing did a great job with replacing the broken tiles. Elvia, from the office, is very patient answering all my questions. On the day of fumigation, SDGE came to shut off the gas around 9 am, then San Diego Fume work team came around noon. They also very polite, very professional, set up the tent very quickly in about an hour. Our house has very fragile clay tiles and we were warned there would be some breakage. His crew was experienced with roofs like ours and the damage was minimal. Our home was left clean, all mulch that had been cleared next to the house per their instructions was put back in place. We didn't expect that at all. In my opinion they are honest, straightforward and helpful. Like most houses, we have solar. There is a wavier that you sign for that. But they took care in prepping the panels before tenting. Their workers' also took the time to screw back the fence panel that I had removed for them. If you are thinking of scheduling a fumigation on the weekend just note that SDG&E will not come out on Sunday to turn your gas back on and you will need to schedule them for the following workday. That isn't to say that there weren't a few snags along the way, but all in all things fell into place as they should. Intial Contact: Well I think I both called and sent a Yelp request; both were answered in a timely fashion by Victor and Gina. There were nothing but rave reviews, so this was going to be the company for me even before I called. I had read about fumers to avoid and made sure that Hungry Termite did not use them. Inspection: Well I already knew I had termites so the inspection was what I thought would be just a formality. Aron found more damage than I expected. He inspector listened to my needs and came up with a reasonable plan for getting things taken care of. By the time we were done on day of inspection I was quoted a figure that appeared to be even less with repairs than fumigations had been in the past. I was elated. Work: Queyen, Marcus, and Angel did a great job repairing and replacing several sections of my fascia boards. They were neat and finished, including painting all in one day. The fascia used was rougher than my existing fascia, but I didn't mind as they did a great job and I can just sand it smooth prior to my next coat of paint in the future if I want. All in all I am very impressed at the quality of work done. Fumigation: The fumigation team used by Hungry Termite was courteous, fast, and professional. My only complaint, although small, was that there was some slight damage to two shingles which will become unnoticable once the hot summer sun flattens out the slightly lifted shingles. Another Marcus was in charge of the fumigation crew and clean up after fumigation. Summary: Hungry Termite stops those Hungry Termites that are eating your home dead in their tracks. They communicated the steps in the process very well and helped us understand what we needed to do in order to prepare for tenting. I stayed in my RV in the driveway and my spouse went to LA to visit Grandma for the weekend. Tent went on Friday and was removed Monday. Honestly, they're all probably going to do a good job; they'll walk you through the process, connect you with the fumigation company, and then you'll be up and going in only 2 days with a freshly fumigated house, devoid of any insects (it killed EVERY bug we had, including all our spiders, ants, and existing termites). The difference is that you're going to want to have the wood repaired, and Quyen is an excellent carpenter. He knows everything you need, and he answers any question you have. I already know a bit about what was necessary to complete our balcony rebuild, and I was at ease knowing that he knew what he was talking about (he installed a proper counter flashing over the ledger board, where the original home construction wasn't up to code and caused leakage into the stucco). There's a pandemic going on right now, so you will have to be patient in getting work done on your house. Tightness. I have never seen a termite tent so snug and perfect. I had 3 neighbors compliment my tent tightness. The crew got around my solar and two stories of roofing in 1:45. There was a crew of 6 or so people here and they don't chat...they are on a mission. Professional. They were here 2 minutes earlier Patience: HT did my subterranean termite treatment 2 years ago. I thought the termites were back and called. They came the next day to show me that I had beetles in my crawl space. Not termites. :). These guys are patient and respectful.
