Instead, not only did did Juan and Jeff come out the same day we called, they were able to diagnose AND fix our problem that same evening. Both were great, very knowledge, professional, and courteous. And I know they could have charged more given the circumstances, but their price was extremely reasonable. If anything, it was a bargain. They are definitely our go-to guys for any HVAC issues we have from now on.

I noticed the discrepancy on the invoice pad and asked the technician about it. He explained that the two firms were affiliated. Because "Lakewood Heating & Air Conditioning" fulfilled the appointment, I am reviewing Lakewood--not the company I booked the appointment through. I recently had the house fumigated. If you are unaware, the gas company shuts off gas to the house before tenting; turns the gas back on after fumigation; and inspects appliances (heaters, stove, water heater, etc.). After all this, it's a good time to have the heater serviced, especially if the gas company inspection uncovered concerns. The Lakewood technician did a thorough job testing the heater, making sure it was operating safely and efficiently. As the unit did not need repairs, my cost was limited to the basic service fee of $100 quoted at the time I set the appointment.

Thanks to yelp, I found Thomson Hvac The tech and I thought it should be a simple fix. He inspected my entire system, diagnosed the problem, and quoted the job. We moved forward with the fix, and it worked fine, and then it didn't. After a few more visits, and some more parts and tinkering, it finally started working properly. Although it was a strange and difficult situation, they stuck to it until the problem was resolved. The techs Danny and Mark went above and beyond to make sure everything was good. Another thing to add, the way the company communicated back and forth with me was great. They answered every call and every text. Most of the time I spoke with Stacey and she was great. If you're looking for an honest and professional company, this is it.

My mother recently engaged a service provider for routine maintenance on her air conditioning unit,…read morewhich included the installation of a new Honeywell thermostat. Subsequent to this service, she has reported that the air conditioning is not effectively cooling the premises, with only the fan operating. I advised her to adjust the thermostat to a lower setting. Given her advanced age of 90, her discomfort with the warm air became increasingly pronounced. Today, in collaboration with my brother-in-law, we investigated the issue. We observed that while the unit appeared to be functioning, it was not producing cool air, despite the outdoor fan operating correctly. During our investigation, we contacted the service provider, Thomson. A representative stated that only the thermostat had been replaced and that a service technician could be dispatched for a fee of $159, suggesting a potential wiring issue. Upon reviewing the Honeywell thermostat instructions and wiring diagram, we identified that the thermostat had been incorrectly wired to the "W" terminal. After rectifying this wiring error, the air conditioning unit resumed normal operation, producing cool air. I subsequently contacted Thomson for clarification regarding the initial service. Their response repeatedly referenced a previous replacement 14 months prior. While their online reviews are predominantly five-star, our experience suggests a lack of professionalism. This incident raises concerns about the necessity of recommended services and the quality of workmanship, potentially indicating errors or intentional oversights during the initial installation.

They originally booked me for Saturday but told me they would call if an earlier appointment became available. To my surprise, they contacted me the very next day because of a cancellation. Our technician, Fabian, was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. He took the time to explain what was causing the issue and also educated us on the importance of routine A/C maintenance to help prevent future problems. I really appreciated that he answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed. The entire experience, from scheduling to the repair, was excellent. It's hard to find a company that's responsive, honest, and reliable, but this one exceeded our expectations. We will definitely continue using them for all of our future heating and air conditioning needs. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed with Southwest HVAC…read more I called Southwest HVAC in April to have my AC serviced before summer because I have a newborn at home and wanted to make sure our system was reliable before the hot weather hit. I specifically took the initiative to have the unit maintained ahead of time because keeping my family comfortable and safe was a priority. During that visit, Southwest HVAC charged me $1,000 for a capacitor and a hard-start kit. I thought the price was extremely high, but I agreed to pay it because I trusted that I was paying for professional service and, more importantly, peace of mind that my AC would be ready for the summer. Fast-forward ONLY FIVE MONTHS and my AC won't even turn on. Naturally, I called Southwest HVAC expecting them to stand behind the work they had performed just five months earlier. Instead, I was told I would have to pay another $100 diagnostic fee just for them to come out and look at the system. That's what I find completely unacceptable. You charged me $1,000 to service and repair my AC, and less than five months later the system isn't even turning on--and your response is essentially, "Pay us another $100 and we'll take a look." If you are going to charge customers premium prices for HVAC work, I expect a reasonable level of accountability when the equipment fails shortly after you serviced it. I shouldn't have to pay another fee simply to find out whether the work I already paid you $1,000 for was done properly or whether the components you installed have failed. The timing is especially frustrating because I specifically had this work done BEFORE summer precisely so I wouldn't end up in this situation. I have a newborn in the house, and now I'm dealing with a non-functioning AC in the middle of summer after paying this company $1,000 for service only five months ago. $1,000 in April. AC completely dead in September. Another $100 just to get someone to diagnose it. That is not what I consider good customer service, and it certainly isn't what I expected when I paid Southwest HVAC to service my system. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion and comparing prices before giving this company your business. Based on my experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the way they handled the situation afterward.

He clearly explained what was going on and laid out multiple options, including just replacing the ductwork or doing a full system install. What stood out was how honest and non-pushy he was. He took the time to educate me and let me make the decision without any pressure. I initially leaned toward just replacing the ducts, but ultimately chose a full system replacement for long-term reliability and peace of mind. Orlando and his crew worked hard and were very professional throughout the install. They walked me through the new system, explained each component, answered all my questions, and made sure everything was running properly end to end. They also corrected issues with the previous condensate line, handled permits, and were flexible with financing options. Overall, a great experience. I would highly recommend Orlando and Shalom HVAC.

He did a great job cleaning and servicing the mini-split we have in the bedroom. I couldn't be happier with Jonathan. I knew that the system needed to be recharged with coolant. That part of the price was not disclosed in advance, and it was quite pricey - $120 a pound. But it needed to be done and we wanted the bedroom a/c to work. So there it is. Jonathan was open about the cost when he concluded the system needed recharging. The reasons for rating are both the hidden cost of the coolant and a couple of issues with scheduling on Yelp. But the overall experience was very good, mostly because of Jonathan.
