After looking through out the United States for 2019 Corvette convertible I found several, one at Huntley Ford in a Chicago suburb, another close by. I made the appropriate calls deforestation driving +200 miles from Wisconsin on a near zero January day. Sales person and dealership manger were insistent that I have an appointment so the could notify if the corvette convertible was sold on the cold and snow January day, LOL! Manger was very condescending...that removed me from doing any business at Huntley Ford. I bought my corvette from Auto Showcase of Carol Stream and the experience could nat have been better. We wanted to pay cash for the truck and they talked us into financing with one of their banks with a very high interest rate (they get a kickback for doing that). Also, told us we needed to purchase another protection plan on top of the limited warranty that was another $4K+ (which is a total scam). This is the most crooked and dishonest dealership I have had the misfortune of dealing with. they lied about the price of the truck, they lied about the price we agreed upon for my trade in, they lied about a supplemental wheel and tire package they said I had to buy ( It was not required) even though I told them multiple times I did not want the package. they didn't tell me the truck had the transmission rebuilt a thousand miles before I bought it. They changed all the numbers on the truck price and my trade in price on the finance office without me knowing. they added $5,000 in "dealer fees" and never could explain what the fees were for. they lowered the trade in price we agreed upon by $3,000 in the finance paperwork. Horrible experience! My father-in-law has been in the car business for 40 years and was the one who encouraged me to write this. They are unprofessional, uncommunicative, rude, fake marketing and the GM, store manager and salesperson are bad people. They are a big company, very little communication between people and departments, and every time we called, we received different answers. Long story short-we signed paperwork beginning of November and put $5,000 down, there was a list of items that they agreed to fix, and we were given no timeline. We checked in often receiving different answers and updates. The salesperson was having a family issue, so when he didn't answer, we called the store for updates. Over a month later they said all items were completed except for one (which we received an IOU for), and they informed me the car needed to be picked up ASAP or the deal would be unwound (which I had never heard such a demand, especially since we had been waiting on them). We went to pick it up, as requested, all items agreed upon were NOT complete. A rear reflector taillight was broken, and the car had not been cleaned; old sunglasses, hair ties, wrappers and the previous owner's PERSONAL info and insurance was still in the car. The salesperson apologized, said it was an oversight, and he would rectify the situation. The next day they called and informed me they were canceling our deal. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I wouldn't be getting a call back and was hung up on. At no point did they EVER tell me the day we attempted to pick up the vehicle that if we didn't take it that day, they would unwind the deal. The GM, Abe, called us annoying, mocked us, said my husband threatened him, we called too much, and he was losing money on the car. After we got an attorney involved, they said they can "give" us the car-not like we were paying $60k for it....VERY rude, condescending, and the prices online are only listed to get you in the door. Also, get all communication in writing- they try to pull old emails unrelated to recent communication and are a true scammy dealership. They also didn't give us our signed paperwork and bill of sale! Oh where do I begin, I purchased my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport back in 2021. I worked with Adrian, who at the time seemed like a good guy. I'm not sure what the heck happened or what went wrong, but when I built my vehicle, msrp came out to 32,820 or somewhere in that ballpark. I know damn well it doesn't jump up to 41,414 without some sleazy af warranty or dealer markup that I was assured didn't exist. Looking back at the "wonderful experience" this is one I should've walked away from. I'm heated as hell about this and still am, because I came in with a 762 credit score and in 21 got a 6.9% interest rate. Which naive me should've been smarter about. I have been a customer of Huntley Ford/Bear Group for many years with my company van. I have had my 2015 250 Ford Transit in the repair shop numerous of times in the past 6 years and have spent roughly $35k in repairs in the last 6 years. My company decided it was time to say enough was enough when the last estimate to fix my Transit was roughly another $4,500 dollars. We then decided to look for a new Ford 250 Transit at the same dealer and found one on their lot that would fit my needs perfectly. I spoke to the front sales desk and they turned me over to the sales man Joon Chol. I sat down with Joon Chol and gave him the stock number of the one I found on their lot and asked him for a price on it. The MSRP/Window sticker price was roughly $54k. Joon went to talk to a sales manager for a few minutes and came back to talk to me. Joon started to write some dollar figures on a piece of paper. I will say I was totally shocked when the price went from $54k (MSRP) to $64k!! That's $10k over MSRP/Sticker price. I asked Joon why is it $10k more and he handed me a line of BS that the Ford Transit Vans are in high demand since Covid hit. This same Ford Transit is still sitting on their lot and I purchased a 2024 Ford Transit from another Ford dealer for $2k under MSRP/Sticker price! That's $12k cheaper than Joon Chol wanted to sell me one for. Let's say they have totally lost my trust and business. BEWARE!!! read more

I traded my car in for a Ford truck. I live in Indiana so I get 45 days to plate my vehicle. 6 trips in 40 days to the BMV to plate my truck and every time is the same story of the title not being processed yet. I called Huntley to address the issue and was told there was more paperwork I needed to sign from the day I purchased the truck. Now I am getting ticketed as the title processing will be delayed months for something that is their mistake pawned back off onto the customer. Saw a 2023 Ford F150 XL on their new inventory page with a price I was happy with and filled out a solicitation for their online group to contact me . Within 15-30 minutes I was called back , I was told the truck is still available (LIE 1) and if I had any questions . I verified the price with "Megan" asked about rebates , and financing and got all my questions answered by her and a saleswoman that I was transferred to , I mentioned several times that I did not want to waste my time and wanted transparency up front since I was driving from an hour away and ready to buy . I also mentioned that I would be in the next day around 6pm . I went in the next day around 5pm and was greeted by salesman "Luis" the interaction started well and I told him which vehicle I was there to see and who I had spoken to . Luis pulls up said vehicle on the computer and said he will be glad to pull it up for my Dad and I to test drive . After a few minutes Luis comes back and said " sorry that vehicle is sold " (LIE 2) , and proceeds to try and sell us on other vehicles which we were not interested in at a substantially higher price . I quickly shot that idea down and told him we were only in to see the vehicle that I had called in about , Luis leaves again for several minutes to "Speak to his manager " when he comes back he states now that they do "have" the vehicle but it's used as a loaner and a customer has it (LIE 3) he then proceeds to pull some notes on his computer screen that logged information about them contacting me several times the day prior to let me know the car wasn't available because it was being used as a loaner , he showed me several logs with 3-4 "attempts"(LIE 4) at someone calling me after the initial call , I showed him my call log on my phone and it showed just one incoming call from the initial contact with Megan and called him out on the lies . At this point I was irritated and over the lies and took the copy of our DL and walked out . I wasted my evening driving there and back and fuel to be lied to . He brought his manager Chris over, who continued to bully us into making a decision at that moment. I understand that "being pushy" is the name of the game, but I felt that they were unkind and rude to the point that I will NEVER go there again. I do NOT recommend this place for many reasons. What a joke. Looked up several vehicles online to check out. When we arrived we were told that two of them were on an open recall list and we couldn't even see them to see if we would like to wait for the recall to be fixed. Asked about another vehicle to check out and was told it was "on a test drive" I plainly saw this vehicle parked when we arrived and it was within line of sight the entire hour we were there. Finally found a car to test drive, and when I went to hand the salesman the keys for our trade so he could check it out while we were on the test drive and he said "I am coming with on the drive". I have never had a sales person demand to come on a test drive. I advised he my wife and I would not be driving the vehicle and would be purchasing elsewhere. When I told him the other vehicle he said "was on a test drive" was right next to the one he brought us too and had never left the lot in the hour we spent there he started yelling. We left and purchased at another dealer. I would prefer to keep my money local but will never return to Huntley Ford, and would advise anyone else interested in a vehicle to do the same. read more

So my financing was already approved and ready to go. This dealership was a class act when it was Tom Peck Ford. Not the case anymore, will not ever go back there. Some of the highlights were screwing up my old vehicle twice when l had it serviced there, but that is another story. I ordered a new vehicle, it was on order for 18 months due to a chip shortage then finally was delivered. Not once in that time frame was there ever a text, e-mail, or phone call that was made to me to inform me where my purchase was. I had to go to the dealership every couple months to get an update. Finally received the V.l.N. so l could track it through Ford. They didn't even contact me to tell me it had been delivered. l had to call them and set up a delivery date. My salesman had questionable ethics to say the least and his accounting and people skills left a lot to be desired. Oh, towards the end of the purchase process they inform you that you have to do your financing through their bank and have to make 3 payments before you can go to your bank and refinance... snakes to say the least. When all was said and done and I was ready for the walk through of my new vehicle, he paired the radio and said the rest is "self explanatory." Stay far away from this business !! read more

After driving 3 1/2 hours to look at a truck that has hail damage that was not mentioned we were quite upset. They agreed to fix the hail damage if we bought it. We were ready to pay for it and when they found out we weren't financing thru them they said that there was a problem and we couldn't buy the truck at the internet price without borrowing the money thru them. They then told us that the other truck we wanted to look at was in the shop. When we left we drove thru the lot and the other truck that was getting "extensive work" was sitting outside. I wish I could leave zero stars as that better represents my experience. I have owned 30+ vehicles and this was the worst dealership purchasing experience of my life. This group is full of deceptive people. I ordered a vehicle with this store back in September 2022 and the whole reason I selected this store is because I was told that I would pay MSRP + TTL (no extra packages or markup etc.). I was skeptical of this so I made sure to get this in writing from the dealership. Fast forward to December; I go to modify my order and the original Salesperson I placed my order with no longer works here. I worked with someone else to modify my order and once again confirm that I will only be paying MSRP + TTL. The Salesperson I worked with also did a horrible job at relaying any information about VIN number, production date, shipping ETA. I had to get all that information directly from Ford myself. Once I learn from Ford by manually tracking my order myself that the truck will soon be arriving soon, I attempt to make contact with my Salesperson. This took 5+ calls and emails with no response. I wanted to confirm that when the truck came in that my vehicle would not have any "pre-installed" ceramic coatings or protection packages and I was assured that there wouldn't be; it is all available to be added after the fact. When I finally go to take delivery of the vehicle once it arrives, I have no trade-in and I do not need to test drive the vehicle. I thought this would be a quick experience. It was not. When I sat down with my Salesperson and he pulled out the pricing sheet, the out the door price was OVER EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS more than what it should have been. This was due to some pretty sneaky tactics. They were double charging a $1,600 delivery/destination fee, they were miscalculating taxes at the wrong rate, there was a mandatory VIN etching fee and nitrogen fill tires added (which isn't even on the vehicle), as well as other misc. fees and packages. When I asked why they can't do MSRP + TTL like I was originally told and had a signed form indicating, I was informed "my manager cannot do that price". I also asked about the signed piece of paper that stated such and was told that since that Salesperson no longer works here, it doesn't mean anything. It took OVER AN HOUR of back and forth just to get anywhere near where we should have been, and even then I was still "forced" to buy a $600 protection plan which I was lied to about regarding length of coverage as well. This dealership will also FORCE you into using their financing by denying you to pay cash or use any type of outside lending. You must accept whatever insane rates they want to stick you at. They will also try to give you your documents on a flash drive in the hopes of pulling a fast one on you with missing docs or altered numbers. I have never had less leverage when buying a vehicle in my life. I ordered this vehicle and waited 7 months for it, and thought I was going to have to walk away from it because they were not going to be able to honor what they originally promised. If I didn't buy it, they were just going to sell it to someone else for even more than I was about to pay for it. They literally could not care less if I bought or walked. TL;DR I was promised I would be sold my custom ordered vehicle at MSRP + TTL, and when the vehicle arrived there were $8,000 of misc. items on top of the price of the vehicle. I had to spend 3 hours at this dealership to come anywhere close to what was originally promised to me. They force you to use their financing and do not accept outside lending. Shady tactics and deceptive staff. They are the reason why Ford dealerships are getting a bad reputation. I will not be returning to this dealership ever again whether it be for service, sales, or warranty work. read more
