The salon is a beautiful, lovely, put-together salon, but my hairdresser should not be doing highlights. It will take a good 6 months before my hair grows back, every morning when I'm trying to hide the broken, kinked hairs I get more and more upset. For what they charge there (pricey), they should be able to work w/fine hair. Now I know why she cut it way TOO short, she knew she burnt it. I didn't discover until next day (wish I wouldn't have tipped and paid cash). I'm not a confrontational person, but I needed to get this off my chest. I went to get my hair done here by a gal named Johanna. She has done amazing work. I found out she also offers spray tanning which I took up since I haven't been in the sun for a while! She had a ton of cute pasties and made the process completely comfortable. I was hesitant about turning orange but the color came out phenomenal. She did a balayage on my hair and it was perfect! I highly recommend. My hair needed some lovin! I absolutely love the body of my hair and color. Will be going back once again! Johanna is wonderful. I went in for bayalage update and mentioned I would love lavendar in it, but was too scared. She talked me into it and it looks so great!!!! Subtle, but fresh and natural looking. She did a fantastic cut as well. I have so much body now. She even let me grab my son from school and come back to finish (since we changed our hair plans and it was going to take longer ). She is so sweet too. The salon atmosphere was very nice. Laura is absolutely the best! When I first moved here five years ago I had been looking for a hairstylist. I had been shopping at a grocery store when I saw a woman with the most beautiful hair! A few weeks ago, I got a horrible haircut at Tintura Salon in Claremont. I have naturally thick and somewhat wavy hair that needed to be layered to create volume. I ended up with two botched layers at the bottom that did not look blended at all. I went to Huntress Salon for the first time today hoping to get a proper layered haircut by a hairdresser that knew what they were doing. So I decided to try a new salon out. I called and booked an appointment with Christy. She seemed really nice and easy going when she was texting me to set up an appointment to get my hair cut and colored. I told her I wanted a cherry red color to my hair. I was very specific and sent her a picture and even showed her again the day of my appointment. When I first met her she was very nice and kind. She seemed to know what she was doing. After she put the color in my hair and let it sit, she started to shampoo and condition it. Fast-forward, she started to blow-dry it and it looked really orange. I just figured once it was all completely dry it would look better. WRONG!!! It was totally orange and I was disappointed. I left but then I texted her explaining I didn't like it and it was not the color I showed her in the picture. She said to come back at 5 and she would fix it. I felt better. I thought for sure it would be better the second time around!!! Dumb me!! Wrong again!! It was still really orange and felt really damaged because of all the color. Keep in mind my hair was long and I wanted to keep my length. So I texted her again saying I wanted part of my money back because I had to go to another beautician and another lady had to fix my hair!! I sent her pictures of her work and how unsatisfied I was with it. I even explain how much time, aggravation and not to mention money it costed me to fix her work. She agreed she would give me $100 back but no sorry or apology for completely messing my hair up!! I've had to cut it 2 more inches because of how damaged my hair was from her doing it then it having to be fixed!! 2 stars because she at best gave me SOME money back!! I would NEVER go to her again. I first went to this salon to visit Angela's Vitality Massage. Such a great massage. Angela makes you comfortable and relaxed. I have been back several times and each time is has been great. She really knows what she is doing. I then started looking for a new hairdresser and went to Johanna. She is so good. I went for my first visit a month ago and am looking forward to my next visit this next week. My hair had a bad cut and the color wasn't great. She was able to adjust the color and give me the best cut!! I am so happy. I had been going to a girl for a long time and it wasn't bad, but it just wasn't good either. So I didn't even get my hair done here but I wanted to talk about my 10 minute experience. I walked in and I was standing at the front counter for about five minutes without anyone welcoming me or ask you when I was here for when two people clearly saw me walk in but they continued their conversation. Then once I got to talk to the stylist (KARINA) that would do my hair she came up to me and proceeded to ask me what I wanted to get done and pull my ponytail out of my hair I understand she was trying to look at my hair but you could let me take my own hair down then she asked me what's wrong with my hair I'm not quite understanding she's looking at my ends and asking what's wrong with it continuing to not understand I'm just telling her what I want what she quoted me $95 for color I said OK perfect I just showed her a picture of what I wanted and he says oh no that's gonna be $300. This salon is extremely unprofessional. I called on a Saturday and scheduled a hair cut appointment for 5:30 that evening. I got there 5 minutes early and was ignored at the counter for a good 10 minutes before Candice came over. My appointment was scheduled with her and she told me I'd have to wait over an hour because she was busy with someone else. We decided to reschedule for Sunday morning at 9. Again, I show up 5 minutes early and ring the door bell. Some lady (the owner I'm guessing) answers the door and asked me what I was there for. I told her I had a 9 o'clock appointment with Candice. She rolls her eyes and tells me very rudely that Candice is not there and she knows not to schedule before 10:30 so I needed to wait outside. As if I was gonna sit outside for an hour and a half to wait for someone who was most likely not even going to show up. I ended up going somewhere else and will not be returning due to poor customer service. read more

I had a cut and some color by Johanna. She did a really nice job on the cut and the color looks good too - only the color doesn't come close to what I wanted. I showed her multiple pictures of hair that had 3 colors, each of which had some form of light or blonde bayalage. She initially couldn't think of a way to make it happen. The owner, Helene, told her how to make it work. She put in the colors she helped me pick, but for some reason she covered up every bit of light color I already had without replacing it with another. The overall look is quite dark. The copper color that she helped me pick turned out much, much darker than I thought it would. When I commented on it she said she knew the color was going to be that dark and had thought I should have picked a lighter color. I wish she'd let me in on that when she was helping me pick the colors. It looks good, but to get what I want I'll now have to pay to have a lighter color put in. Really disappointed since it was already there and usable. She's good, but I won't be going back to her. I'd recommend Helene, the owner. She's a stylist who says "sure, I can do that" and figures out a way. read more
