I wanted to love them desperately. The neglectful behavior of their electrician and the office staff has actually ruined my life. The amount of clean up and job loss has been devastating and I will be losing my house. After directly emailing the owner and trying to work it out, over the course of this whole year, trying to chock the issues up to growing pains and trying to be supportive, even though it has cost me dearly each time, Jason the owner chose to not do anything to fix the issues. Issues I had to bring up daily. The last straw was that fact that I was away, and the electrician left my electricity off, with a freezer full of seafood and steaks I had pre-ordered for a catering event. My income and reputation, spoiled rotten. I lost the food, the freezer, then the client, then spent hours gagging while trying to clean up and the smell has still funked up my house 3 weeks later and two professional cleaning crews have not been able to rid the smell. Not only did I lose my income and spent beyond it to try to stay on track, from product and equipment loss, the stank was SO BAD, SO BAD it funked up my whole neighborhood with that horrible smell and garbage. Going back to the beginning of the struggle. The original plumber who came to do the quote, never finished the quote, so I had to call in three times and still no quote. I finally get a quote and I had to call again, to the office, to ask when, where, etc to put in the toilet. The plumber comes out and has no idea why he is there. He was late, which made me late and all of this after I spend 20 minutes explaining my job to the receptionist and saying the owner was at my house too, he can help make sure everyone knows what to do. No work got done and that was my first client loss because I was late, because they were late. The big stink issue was the second major client and business loss. I can recover from one, but not two major misses as a professional. After having to ask for a different plumber, they send him and he did good work but was constantly called by the office staff trying to get him to go to another job while he was working on mine. He could not concentrate to get the work finished. A 3-5 day quoted job took over two weeks. Then, I find out he doesn't work there anymore but he has not finished the job. He promised work that never got done. At the end of it all, the owner threw everyone else under the bus and would not fix my issues or offer to recover some of the costs due to their electrician just not being focused or even caring about the work. I NEVER write reviews. I have NEVER written a bad one. I have even held off writing this review to try, for about a year, to work with the owner as he is growing his small business. I can't support someone who ruined my business, reputation and income and could care less. I am sure his bills are paid. I really wanted to be their biggest cheerleader and for them to have great success. How can I do that when my house still smells like dogs ass sack glands in an entire wing of my home? Yes, that is the smell of rotten seafood that has seeped stank into the walls. How can I support them when I will not be able to sell my home until I unfunk it. Again, so far no can do! I will say to be completely honest, the work should pass inspection. I believe that to be true. It just wasn't worth all of the losses I suffered to have someone come out and do the bare minimum of their job. To run a company that says they want to offer the ultimate customer service but here is a decades old client that got barely decent treatment and again, the only reach out from the owner, when it is time to fix their mistakes is, to ask me when am I gonna pay? -Sigh and utter sadness. I waited a decade to do this work and wanted it to be with Hunts. I got other quotes, I should have done with one of them. It bums me out just as much that my final major awesome remodel project was a horror show. read more

One day before snowpocolypse '19 our Furnace went out. We had ZERO heat in the house!! Honestly, we had an appt with another place for the following Tuesday - 5 days away (they could NOT do any better). Another place could come out but wanted 100 BUCKS just to look around - and they didn't credit that fee back to purchase price. I'm not working right now and money is super tight. Every penny matters! I was getting sad and desperate! Worried about my kids, dog, husband AND thinking how my mother in law (who is coming in from out of country this Sunday) might suffer through this cold - We bought space heaters and thought we could wait it out. Last try: I called Hunts to see if they could do better. And they DID. First, Brenna the lady who answers the phone was just so nice. Totally understanding and willing to find answers, options, something! In our desperate situation it was nice to have a person care about our problem instead of worrying if we could pay, charging for crazy fees, or packing on charges that might take advantage of people in a bad situation like this. She simply wanted to find answers and tried to help. Really amazing! She put me on hold right then and began talking to the field people. Like, WHAT! Who does that???!! She said - we got this. We are sending people out and will be there in 30 minutes. HUGE THANKS! Dennis came to do a quote. He was almost licked to death by my dog. He survived. He gave three options, all completely competitive and affordable. AND thankfully, 0% (pay off in 18 mo) financing - which we really really really needed. He was fun and nice and FAST. He explained everything very clearly and didn't make it seem like rocket science or some fancy stuff - it was very normal sounding if that makes sense? You know how some people fancy up the components and you are like what in the actual heck am I buying? He didn't do that. And, didn't pressure us to buy more than we needed or wanted. What was included in the quotes were all very upfront and clear - in plainspeak. Which I appreciate because I'm no HVAC lady. I really liked him, he was a nice man and made the purchasing process so wonderful. Come back anytime buddy! After we made our choice and Dan the installer man rolled in around back and started working immediately. No muss, no fuss! It sounded like he was breaking the house in half (LOL - he wasn't!). He had the old one out and the new one in in about 3 hours. He stayed even though the snow was really coming down. Dan isn't a huge talker. I tried to chat him up but he was too busy working. Ha! Can't distract Dan! :) He was so awesome! Having worked a full day only to come rescue us and stay so late - I couldn't be more grateful. Next time, stay for dinner Dan! Part of our financing - or maybe its' just Hunts does this, not sure - is annual free check ups. Plus they do plumbing and electrical. We will be using them again, absolutely. I love that three people I interacted with were so NICE. I mean, genuinely nice people. I need more of that in my life. Our gas furnace went out a few days after Thanksgiving ... just as the weather was turning colder. I called a company to come out and give an inspection to see if it could be serviced. The gentleman went under the house, came up a while later with the furnace working again. He advised that one of the motors was stuck. He advised he wasn't sure how long it would last. Guess what - the next morning it died. With this, I began to google furnace companies and settled on three of them for estimates. The first came and gave a quote that would include installation of the furnace, cutting the concrete to get it in to the crawl space - but was on us to get the opening framed and put back into shape. The second came out giving a quote that only included the installation and everything leading up to getting the opening enlarged and re-framed was on us. Yet there estimate was the highest. Third - now I get to the "Great Part". that is Hunt's Services. A representative came out and assessed our needs, took a good look at the space and said that he would get back with us. Later that afternoon I received a call from the owner of Hunt's advising he was in the area and wanted to stop by. He was here in a short time, crawled into the space taking pictures. He advised their quote will be turn key (enlarging the space by having the concrete cut out, installing and removing old furnace, and reframing the new opening which included making a removable cover, a new window well and lid). The next day when I received my quote it was lower than anyone else's and was all inclusive. I called him back and said let's do this. There availability to get this done was also shorter than anyone else - they were here with in a week vs. 10+ days of their competitors. Now I want to brag about the actual process! They were totally professional, were on time, great communication to me as to the steps needed and when. Corey and Scott arrived when they said they would. They worked from early morning to early evening the first day. Corey was back the second day to finish the install and reframing. I CAN"T TELL YOU ENOUGH HOW WONDERFUL IT WAS TO HEAR THAT FURNACE TAKE OFF, blowing heat quickly to the whole house - it is wonderful. For clarification, the original furnace which was installed 29 years ago was installed before the addition of the family room on the back. Thus the heat never got back to the new area as well as the older part of the house. The new furnace heats the entire house.The completed job looks great outside as well. Thanks Jason, Corey, Scott and all the other Hunt's team that made this time of frustration a time of success. Trust me on this - I'm pretty particular and you met all of our expectations. read more

Here's a long overdue review for a job well done... Our central A/C wasn't working properly at the beginning of July last year -- coincidentally when the temperatures were at their highest. We called our usual A/C company (which has quite a few branches, but shall not be named due to their poor service) and were told that they could have someone out in *three* days! Three more days inside our house at 88 degrees with two little kids suffering in the heat?!? That would defeat the purpose of having an A/C! Also, it was sad that we were treated this way considering that we had been long-term customers with the unnamed company and kept up with our annual maintenance with them. A bit frustrated, I randomly looked up other A/C companies on Google since we didn't know anybody else, and found Hunt's Plumbing who had quite a few flattering reviews. Albeit, I scratched my head at their name because "plumbing" didn't have much to do with air conditioners, but their website clearly said that they dealt with both heaters and A/Cs. So I gave them a call. Jason, the owner of the company, picked up the phone, and promised to be at our place between 6:30 and 8:00 PM that *same* day! He arrived shortly after 7 and started his diagnosis of our failed machine. It turned out that the refrigerant inside the A/C was pretty much depleted! In other words, there must have been a leak somewhere in the pipes. I'm not sure how long these things are supposed to last, but the whole A/C and heater build was only 7 years old. At this point, we decided to simply refill the refrigerant because it would have taken way too much time and be too expensive to trace the leak. Unfortunately, this specific, old-type refrigerant (forgot the name) was pretty costly and dispensed by the ounces on a scale! Jason committed more than 3 hours to this repair and was very open about our questions. Yes, the fix was not cheap, but then again, his customer service was stellar, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody! I cannot recommend this company highly enough. My old gas furnace quit days before the cold snap of January 2024. Got four companies to come out, assess my 1938 house in north Tacoma and its "unique" HVAC system, and bid out replacement systems. I wanted a heat pump, but was not sure my ducting would be compatible. Rob, the Hunt's Comfort Consultant, was kind, not pushy, knowledgable, and willing to discuss options. Hunt's came in with bids for various systems, including the dual fuel system (Daikin high efficiency gas furnace and Daikin heat pump) that I chose, and the bid I selected beat the closest competitor by about $2,500. Hunt's team was at my home ready to install my system the morning after I accepted the bid. Ed, our Installer, and his team were awesome. They worked super hard over an incredibly long day when temps were dipping into the teens - smiling and being friendly to my little kids all the while. Their work was awesome and looks great. I was then assigned Kacy, our HVAC Install Service Pro, and he he got our system up and running. The gas furnace had a faulty switch from the factory that made it quit working the first night it was up, by Kacy was able to bypass the problem remotely keeping my house warm that night and then Kacy was at my house the next morning getting a permanent fix installed. Kacy's customer service has been epic. The heat pump needed additional calibration, which Kacy observed remotely, Kacy called me to tell me that was the case, and Kacy was at my home doing more work that same day. Despite a few visit to get things up and running smoothly over the first few days after install, I did not get charged a penny over the original estimate. These folks stand by their products and their work. This entire company has been friendly and a pleasure to work with. The City inspector said their work was great and did not require any changes. I am deeply happy I went with this company and highly recommend that you - at least - get a bid from Hunt's. read more

Just got a new heat pump installed and the overall experience was great! So I'm a roofing contractor and know a lot of the games that some contractors play when bidding projects. I got 3 bids as I don't know much about hvac. Hunt sent me out an experienced Sales person / Estimator named Armando who used to be a technician himself. He gave me a fair, no BS bid on a new heat pump. One of the other contractors suggested that we move our heating unit under the house which I liked but didn't like their price for moving the equipment. I called back Armando and went over the project changes and asked for a rebid. I was confident they could do the work when Armando didn't just say "yes" but brought one of their install technicians to check everything before rebidding. I don't like surprises and I know that is a tactic some contractors use to get more money out of you so I was glad to see them working together! Day of installation came and Dan & helper showed up and got rite to work. Now I mentioned that I am also a contractor so I know you can get a great Salesperson and a B-Team crew or vise versa. Dan was top shelf! I chatted him and his helper up a little "secretly gauging their abilities" and was relieved that Dan was our technician. Moving the equipment around was a lot of work and Dan's helper was new so it was kind of like he was training and doing the job. I could tell Dan takes pride in his work and I even climbed under the house with him to check everything out and so he could show me how to maintain my new equipment. Once the project was complete Hunts called for final payment and everything was on point! Any construction, remodel or tenant improvement project is a little stressful and comes with some minor inconveniences but these guys did what they said they would do for the price they quoted me. Thank you hunts employees for the amazing service! We are first time home buyers with lots of room to learn and the hunts team was more than willing to help us figure out what we needed. I'd like to start off personally thanking Rob for being honest and trustworthy when helping us with an HVAC estimate. When you are someone like me that likes to know our options Rob really made it easy. He followed up with us several times to answer our question and to help ease our mind with financing options. I called Hunt's Services after discovering a floor drain in my basement was backing up and any time I was using water elsewhere in the house. I suspected a blockage in our side sewer and the team at Hunt's was able to fit me into their schedule and show up at my house on the same day. Service technicians Rigo, Cesar, and Cruz helped diagnose the issue with a snake and a camera (tree roots growing into our side sewer), fixed it by jetting the roots out, and confirmed the fix with a camera. The team was professional, worked efficiently, verified that the work was completed well, and cleaned up after finishing the job. I was kept assessed of the situation throughout the process. The team made honest assessments, were up front about how much things would cost, and charged appropriately for their work, and at the end of the day did a job that I wasn't going to be able to do on my own. No doubt a side sewer backup disrupts the day and the monthly budget, but Rigo, Cesar, and Cruz called when they were on their way, so I could get some work hours in before heading home to meet them, and they were able to efficiently solve the issue before the end of the day. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Hunts plumbing! Let me say that they go ABOVE and beyond to meet the customers expectations! I had foot surgery in early July and here it was, first week in August and my water heater went out. I was still in the recovery process and unable to get around without crutches or a knee scooter. Jessie is amazing! Long story short - I was visiting my daughter and he came to her house on a service call to repair her furnace, which he did quickly and was very helpful and professional. When I had a question about the trouble I was having with my own furnace he gave me his card and suggested I take a picture of the wires and relays and send it to him. I live in a remote part of Eastern Washington and it is VERY and expensive and difficult to get anyone to come out, so I did what he suggested. Not only did he get right back to me with some questions but he helped me diagnose the problem and identify the components that were bad! I am a complete novice when it comes to electrical issues so it took many emails back and forth and many questions on my part. He answered all of them and even found places on line that I can order the new parts ! He truly went above and beyond the idea of customer service. I recently received a text reminder from Hunt's about servicing my furnace. They mentioned they also did plumbing, something I didn't know. I needed my kitchen sink and the sink in my half bath looked at. David was the plumber sent to my house. He was excellent! First off he was a complete professional. He explained what the possibilities were with my sinks, explained what he was going to do, explained the pricing, and explained things as he did them. He was also just a really cool and down to earth guy to talk to as well. And most importantly, he fixed the issues I had! I found out that Hunt's has other services too besides furnace and plumbing. Based on my previous service with the furnace and this visit with the plumbing, I would not hesitate to use them for any kind of service they perform. And David told me they also have some kind of optional monthly subscription service that could be advantageous depending on your situation. I will definitely be looking into that. I had an emergency call from my tenant with the dreaded "toilet backup" issue at around 8pm the day before super bowl 2019. I had used Hunt's services before but never in an emergency situation. I called them and went through great scheduling services with additional call up to confirm when their service technician was available. The next day the service technician (Andrew) showed up promptly early in the morning on Sunday. He was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and worked hard and identified the issue and fixed it to the satisfaction of my tenants and myself (landlord). Everyone was happy I didn't know how to fix the issue and thanks to Andrew all is now working fine. My only con is maybe Hunt's change pricing for after hour services fee for repeat customers in my case since my options are very limited when it comes to satisfying my tenants needs. I just couldn't tell them to wait till Monday. Else, I am a happy customer and will always call Hunt's Services for future work. read more

Yesterday, I called Hunts Services to schedule an air conditioner tune up. I was so impressed with their follow up which included telephone calls and text messages. When Glen arrived, he got right to work and did such a thorough job with the tune up. He stayed on task and explained what he was doing. At the end of the job, he summarized what he observed during his inspection of our system. He provided a very detailed report which will help me make decisions moving forward with my system. Glen was extremely professional and did not push unnecessary services. He made recommendation based on what he saw. I plan to follow up with Hunts based on Glen's recommendations. As a senior it is so important to find professionals who can be trusted. Based on my experience with Glen and his colleagues, I believe I have founded a trusted company. I would definitely recommend Hunts Services to all my friends and family. For the great customer service and work they do. From the front office staff to the techs, they all did a fine job. We bought an old Rambler early this year that had some issues. One of them being the toilet drain to the main sewer having a leak from a poor solder job. I gave them a call and spoke with Gregg the service Manager and he had a technician over and had the work done and tested. The techs were knowledgeable and friendly in answering all my plumbing questions. They did an awesome job. And was impressed that Alfredo and Dhakota for professional and kept a clean environment throughout the job. I set up a financing option through the bank they partner with so I could go back to them for any future repairs or installations. My husband and I were going to use Beacon Plumbing but because it took almost 6 hours for them to arrive after having a 2-4 hour window - we cancelled and found Hunt's services on Yelp. It took no more than 2 hours for them to arrive and I'm super happy because we got amazing service all the way through. Before they arrived, we got a couple calls prior to them arriving providing us an ETA. We definitely appreciated that since we waited what seemed like forever for the other plumbing company. Josh and Dakotah were very professional, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. We couldn't have asked for a better company to help fix our problem (our cold water line had a hole in it). Even though we could have probably fixed the issue ourselves, we were very pleased and it was a pleasure working with them both. If you EVER need a plumber - this is the company to hire! I received a call at work yesterday from our agent that we had a leak in our den of our home. I live in Auburn and work in downtown Seattle - 25 miles away. I called our insurance company, but they do not recommend plumbers? So I pulled up Yelp and found Jolene and Selena in the office who answered the phone and they sent me Carlos and Andrew within 2 hours of the call. Carlos diagnosed the problem right away - hot water pipe to water heater failed in the wall. Den was flooded, carpet,drywall, moldings a mess! Carlos and Andrew waited for me to fight traffic to get home and immediately cut a hole in the wall to repair the leaking pipe. Went above and beyond in 92 degree weather in my garage. My gas furnace was no longer working, which is why I called Hunt's. They scheduled the visit for the next day, and the technician, Corey Dinius, was on time for the visit the next morning. He diagnosed the problems (it had a couple), showed me the fatal problem, talked through the choices for replacing the failed furnace, and had it replaced by mid-afternoon. There was a fair amount of duct that needed to be fabricated, which was done very well. Mr. Dinius not only did a great job of explaining what he was doing and why, he verified that it was working properly before wrapping up his work, and also completely cleaned up after the work was completed. Everything has worked as it should since then. I was happy enough that I have asked the company to perform other, unrelated work on the house, as well. Overall, a great customer experience! read more
