Toilet leaked yesterday. Talked to Rob yesterday. They came out this morning and replaced the toilet. Fast and efficient. So here are some details. I had an estimate from another big plumbing outfit that I like. It sat in my file cabinet because I thought it would be a while before I wanted to replace the unit. My garbage disposal went out and I just wanted PVC pipes installed under the kitchen sink. Other plumbing companies wanted $500 just to install a couple of feet of a drain (no other services). I didn't get a number of quotes because I had a time issue. After the service was complete (yes, I got an estimate) and I looked at average prices for the service in my area, they charged 3 times the average price. When we decided to replace our (49-year-old!) gas water heater, Rooterman was first to respond to our inquiry and offered the best price for the same equipment, with no charges for all the extra items necessary to do the project to code and for maximum safety. They had to do some plumbing to accommodate the installation of a new, efficient water heater, but it was all included in the price of the water heater itself. Paul and Anthony were absolutely professional throughout, and when they couldn't drain our ancient 50-gallon heater in place, they wrestled it out of the house and to the end of the driveway, where they were able to pierce the old boiler and drain it before they hauled it away. Our experience with them was so positive that when I needed some drain work on our 60-year-old plumbing so that our main bathtub would drain properly, I called Rooterman again. Paul evaluated the situation and before very long had the bathtub draining like a champ. I was charged $496 to replace two Kitchen Sink Basket Strainer Replacement.(part cost around $15 each) The work was done in a rental property while I was out of state. Total time from start to finish, right around one hour. I believe most of us can't afford to pay $500 an hour, but if you can call Rooter-Man. read more

I needed two of my toilets snaked when I moved in to a house i just purchased. I called several places and Rooter man was the first to respond. They charged me over $200 a toilet and then recommended $1400 worth of upgrades that I had no interest in. After they left I was quoted $100 an hour from another company. They told me they could have done all three of my toilets in that time. I know they could have achieved this because Rooter Man was done in 45 minutes. We had a defective main shutoff valve that we found when a leak developed on the house side of the valve. We were without water. We called Rooter-Man Plumbers, and Rob was at our house in just over an hour. He replaced the shutoff valve, a short piece of pipe, and installed insulation over the pipe from floor to wall. He cleaned up his work area and it looked cleaner than it was when he started. Impressed. A very professional job indeed.
