Their cover-up made it so I could not return the hearing aids in the allotted time and they never told me I wouldn't be seeing the same professional, Jeff, for my next appointment. I have known for several years that I had significant hearing but I was in denial about needing a…read morehearing aid. Dr. Michael Malotte had conducted hearing tests which showed a 45% loss of hearing in my left ear. In October, 2019 Dr Zachary Vandergriend donated hearing aid to The Branch Elementary School auction. Apparently I was the only person in attendance who needed a hearing aid. I won the auction. I was then contacted by Dr Jennifer Perry about the hearing aid that I had won. At the appointment she explained about the options that I had . An order was placed.At my next appointment I received my hearing aids. Dr. Perry patiently explained and calibrated the hearings for me to get comfortable with change that I would notice while using the hearings aids. It is AMAZING. I so regret not having been fitted for a hearing years earlier. I have had 2 follow up appointments where Dr Perry has adjusted the sensitivity of the devices. Is my hearing perfect? No, but the improvement is substantial. The hearing aids are comfortable.I barely notice their presence while I am wearing them. Several times I have tried to get in bed or showered when I realized I was wearing them. I am so pleased with my hearing aids. If your spouse, partner or friends tell you that yo u might have a hearing loss, go get tested. The test is painless, and informative. I have been tested twice without hearing aids and actually enjoyed the testing process. I understand now that hearing loss can effect your mental health. I am 75 years of age and could not carry on a conversation in a crowded restaurant. Now I can participate in the conversations. I am so happy and thankful for my hearing aids, Thank you Drs. I fractured my scapula a couple of weeks ago, x-rays in the ER and a referral to CCO. I called CCO the next day to schedule an appointment, got voicemail, so I left the details and asked for a call back. Called again each of the next two days, left messages, and waited for a callback. Nothing. By Thursday, I called my primary, asked for a PT referral (which they sent the same day) and went to PT the next day to deal with all the pain and muscle stiffness. PT noticed that the ER referred me to the spine guy at CCO, not the shoulder guy. So on the way home, I stopped by CCO with my ER referral paperwork from Monday , and asked to set an appointment with their shoulder specialist. The nice lady behind the desk, said she understood why I'd want to see the shoulder guy but had to get the spine guy to agree that the shoulder guy was the right specialist to see me, and assured me they'd be back in touch shortly. For a minute, I thought she was saying I could wait there in the lobby while she got that approval. It wasn't until Thursday the next week that I got the call to set an appointment... with the Physician's Assistant... in a week. I told the lady on the phone that I didn't see the point in seeing a PA after 3 weeks with the injury, and that I wanted to see the shoulder physician. Confused, she asked whether I wanted the appointment or not. I clarified that I didn't see the point in seeing a PA 3 weeks after my injury, and that while they'd been "dickin' around with their internal process trying to get me in", I'd already seen my primary, had 2 PT sessions, and one with my Rolfer / Massage therapist. As I was finishing that sentence, she said my language was unacceptable and hung up. To CCO, I'm sorry for saying "dickin' around". For the snowflake on the phone and for the management over there, please expect that injured patients trying to get acute care might be frustrated when it takes you two weeks to do something that should take 10 minutes.
