My roommates and I have been to the downtown and the James Island locations of Huriyali, and it is easily one of our favorite breakfast spots. They have delicious coffee, matcha, smoothies, and acai bowls. They also have salads and sandwiches with unique flavors and fresh ingredients! The second location for this breakfast bowl place looks surprisingly similar to the first. While it is in a more suburban area, they've built a nice outdoor picnic space. They even had some personal "fly fans" you could take to your table to blow away the insects, which I make special note of because I have not forgotten the nasty bite I got when I ate at the other Huriyali that caused my hand to swell up so badly I couldn't move some of my fingers. There was minimal indoor seating, and while the outdoor area had some covering, in bad weather I'd be looking to take out. The menu includes a variety of sweet and savory health food options. I was quite happy with my bowl of sweet potatoes, kale, and beans over rice. I'm not a huge sweet potato person, nor a huge kale person, but when they're cooked and flavored right, it's a pleasure. Ordering a peanut butter cup smoothie delivered the richness one might expect. I wasn't hungry again for a while, but the reason for that is that I spent a bunch of money and had a nice quality meal on a pleasant patio, so I can live with that. read more

5 stars because the Churro Latte was the best latte I've maybe ever had. SO good! The perfect consistency of flavors, milk, everything. I love that they have so much outdoor seating. Its very peaceful and nice to be outside. The chili had a pretty strong kick to it. I think I'd try other things on the menu before I order it again. The grits were really good though! Great combination of flavors and good portion size too. The cashier was really kind about a food allergy I have and even asked if I wanted the cooks to remove gloves in between my order to help with cross contamination. Oh my goodness! How excited I was to see this new location with better parking. I've always loved their menu but it was so difficult to find parking at the Chs location. On this visit, we chatted with the owner, who was super nice and accommodating! Everything on their menu is either vegan or can be made vegan, and the menu is broad. There are only about five (literal) seats inside, so the majority of the seating is outside on the deck, which is both covered and uncovered. But, similar to the downtown location, it's lovely and relaxing - bonus, there was heating! We will definitely be back! read more

Came here on a cold Saturday morning with the family. The building is as vibrant and eye-catching as the downtown location. The outdoor heaters made us comfortable in the cold. We ordered many things from the menu, both to eat in the restaurant and the rest to take home for lunch. Service was fast and efficient. We ordered the following: * The breakfast sandwich x 2- Both me and my daughter ordered this. I got it with an extra fried egg on the sandwich. The chipotle aioli is amazing. Quaint house converted into a restaurant with delicious healthy food and drink options. Parking in back for about 5 or 6 cars and a handicapped space with a ramp. Outdoor eating space is covered for all kinds a weather with large fans and heaters. Only room inside to eat for a small table and 3 at a bar top. Order food inside and they bring it to you. Now, to the food... My husband and I were in town for a concert as a delayed Christmas gift so we were willing to pay for good food. Being Vegan, this is what he chose and we were both happy with our selections. The prices add up but worth it. Besides the crunchy vibe, the food is fresh! Hubby had the all day burrito which was filled with chickpea, black beans, tempeh, cilantro, tomatoes, and various spices. It was very good! (High protein). He also had a peanut butter Banana cup smoothie (he was hungry!) which was ok, very peanut buttery. I had the nachos. They were out of lentils which were normally in it but put extra black beans. The hummus and guacamole was creamy and the salsa spicy. There was pickled onion on top which gave it a sweet balance. Sprinkled with chia seeds. Delicious! I splurged on a cardamom latte made with homemade cashew milk. Glad I did! Besides being beautiful, it was very tasty. One of the best lattes I've had in a long time. This review is a long time coming. I have been enjoying Huriyali for several months since moving to Charleston. Anything and everything I have eaten there has been top notch. I would particularly like to note that the All Day Burrito is my number one breakfast burrito in the world. I like to do the chickpea and tempeh version, and you absolutely must get the nacho cheese on top - it's the only way to do it. Everyone there is friendly and kind, with online orders a breeze to pick up. It's a cute setting as well, often busy so the only negative I could possibly think of is that parking can be tricky. Overall, it's about time Hurijyali gets its recognition and due from my family. We love the place! read more
