The Food was delicious, the service was great, and the coffee was amazing! I definitely recommend trying this place.

I stopped here for breakfast while killing time between a massage and a dental appointment. I was greeted when I walked in, and my waitress was very nice. The cafe itself is cute, and I really wanted to love the food. I ordered the blueberry waffle with sausage links. Unfortunately, the waffle was pretty bland--even with syrup--and the blueberries were concentrated only in the center instead of throughout the waffle. It definitely looked better than it tasted. The sausage links, however, were really good. They had a nice crispy skin without being overcooked and were easily the best part of my meal. The restroom also left a lot to be desired. Both the toilet paper AND paper towels were sitting loose on the sink. There was a paper towel dispenser mounted directly over the toilet--which is disgusting in itself--despite there being plenty of other wall space where it could've been installed. The faucet was also extremely loose and felt like it was barely attached. The restroom just didn't feel clean or well maintained. Overall, the service was friendly and the cafe is cute, but between the disappointing waffle and the condition of the restroom, 3 stars feels fair. read more

What's better than a piping hot cup of fresh Joe, or... for those who defy the norm, iced coffee? I can think of many things and being a former comedian, I'll refrain from stating. Meeting up for a coffee date I got to Magnolias a little early to settle in. The place is interesting and seems authentic, not like those damn yuppy and pretentious coffee shops with the late 90s liberal sitting in the corner writing the next "great American novel." No, this is a place pregnant ladies come with their family to get some coffee and what appears to be really good food. The place has nice wood tones on the floors and tables with simple seating and fake plants, which I can appreciate b/c I too have fake plants at my house b/c I kill live ones! As for the staff, they're prompt and receptive of what you want to drink as well as giving suggestions. I got there when a much younger late 20 something was working so I tried to spark up a conversation. The young lady looked American, blonde and cute but when she spoke pure Latino! Oddly enough I was meeting a 33-year-old Latino for our first date here (yes, I brushed up on my Spanish, but I just moved from Austin so np here). She was a nice lady but she did forget about my drink order so not as good of a barista as one might desire. But honestly, I was superficial at the moment and she was cute so I overlooked the imperfection. The case had some tasty looking treats like croissants but I refrained. My advice is try one! While I'm a medium roast coffee kind of guy and I like my coffee like the women I date; hot, sweet and blonde. I vary my selection by what I'm in the mood for, sometimes latte, sometimes hot or iced, sometimes mocha, you get the drift; and yes I'm talking about coffee (get your mind out of the gutter). But what I do appreciate is creativity in a beverage and a joint with the courage to put a creation on their menu, Magnolias doesn't have that as they're more straight forward. Instead I opted for the latte with 2 shots caramel, 1 vanilla and one toasted marshmello; try it you'll thank me later. I just wish they had more options like almond. Oh to add, I ordered my date a latte and she acted as if it was water and downed it in 5 minutes, so much for sipping and enjoying. In summary, Magnolia's coffee is really good with what looks as great food. Add to that they create an environment where one can feel safe while sitting inside or just stopping by for a quick interaction with nice employees while waiting for food and it's a recipe for success. While I didn't sample their "edibles" (how's my parking?) they looked wonderful. To finish, the employees are great people, the ambiance is fun and the coffee is great. Stop by if you want something good to pick yourself up or rub elbows with a future leader of America. read more

We celebrated my "little" sister's 40th birthday last weekend and I wanted to end her surprise celebrations by having brunch with some of her other girlfriends. I had such a tough time finding something in the area (Goose Creek) gluten-free, reasonable and remotely appealing to the eye. My sister told me about Magnolia's and I'd skimmed over the menu previously but nothing stood out. I called as well verifying gluten-free options. We ended up going and I was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance. My sister told me that I'd love the aesthetics and she was right. Our server was seemed very knowledgeable of the menu and at my request, was able to substitute the fried plantains replacing the home style potatoes that did have gluten. My first time visiting Magnolias Cafe was a random Tuesday afternoon around 2:30pm. My friend and I were the only patrons for a while, which is a shame because it's clean, adorable, and spacious. The employees (2) were very friendly, quick, and seemingly in good spirits with all customers. During my visit I had a skinny vanilla latte. Very basic, yes, but the coffee wasn't drowned at all, which I enjoyed. They have quite the spread of Hispanic drinks, food, and smoothies if I'm not mistaken. Next time I need to get out of the house to work, I think I'll spend my money and time here. I also want to check out the market next door. read more

We had never tried this place before. It looked okay from the outside. It's at the end of a strip mall. They do have a nice little garden of flowers outside their entrance tho. I thought that was cute. Inside is what wowed me. It's so pretty in there. They have flowers dangling from the trellis ceiling. I really appreciate the way they decorated. I ordered some French toast that comes with fruit on top. It was so good. I got it with a side of bacon. I always beg the server to make sure that my bacon is extra crispy! Most of the time at other places, I still have to send it back. However here, they got it right the first time. I definitely want to come back here. I have to remember it's here. We usually rotate through Eggs Up, First Watch, and Vicious Biscuit. We are going to have to add Magnolias Cafe in the mix. It's definitely worth going back to again! read more

The spot is cute and convenient in location. The prices were affordable and the menu had a variety of options. Our server was very friendly. I got crepes with cream cheese and strawberries inside - it was good but wasn't as sweet as I expected. I am a tea drinker so I got hot green tea, Which my friends got a latte and a coffee. I am sorry I didn't try this place sooner. If you know where this, you must try it! Fabulous is the word I'd use to describe it. Wish I had taken pics, but next time I will. I had a crepe that was absolutely delicious, they know how to make crepes. The wife had a Philly Cheese Steak with peppers and onions with home fry's, also just great. One other of our party had a Tuna Salad with fries that she loved. .i don't think there is anything here you wouldn't love. Try it people! read more

Appearances can be deceiving. The generic strip mall storefront led me to suspect I'd made a mistake coming here. Not so. The food is excellent, freshly prepared, and very tasty. The french toast with strawberries and blueberries with a side of five pork sausages was satisfying and filling, but after tasting the home fries that came with my wife's spinach and bell pepper omelette, I wanted more. Our companion loved her chicken pesto sandwich, which also came with home fries. The coffees also got thumbs up. The staff was efficient and polite, and the food came out quickly. My first time visiting this place and the place is pretty cute. The server was very helpful and friendly. I really like the coffee late here. I wish they have option for skim milk but they don't. They have almond and oat milk option if you cant have dairy. I also ordered the veggies omelete and crepe cream cheese. They both tasted so good and the fruits were fresh and sweet. My friend ordered the carrot, beet and pineapple juice and she liked it. The cafe is nice and cozy inside, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. I had an omelette, which was OK. There was a good deal of bacon in it, which was one of the 2 fillings I requested. It was slightly overcooked (eggs are tricky), but not so much as to be an issue. But the included sides of fruit and home fries were conspicuous in that there were no home fries. The crepe is a more interesting story. It was very large, and very well presented. However, it was doughy. This is, in my experience, the result of being too thick. I suspect that this is allowed to occur so that the large size can be managed on the griddle [a thin large crepe would be hard to turn]. Filling was a bit sparse. The coffee ("American") came in a gigantic cup. Quantity was good, but according to my wife [I don't drink coffee, so she informs me as to the quality] it was "average." Prices seemed a tad high, but that is something we've now come to expect at restaurants as they work to maintain profitability at a time when staff and ingredient costs are extremely high. If I could give Magnolias 10 I would! I found this while looking for a brunch spot for my daughter's 18th bday to eat at with her friends. Let me tell you... the very definition of LOCAL HIDDEN GEM!! You would never expect this off of College Park Rd (if you know the area) but WOW! They let us reserve a couple of tables for her and her friends ahead of time. We went at 2pm and had the place to ourselves. The decor and vibe is what you would get in Downtown Summerville or Downtown Charleston. So cute! Staff: friendly and all around awesome! She had tables we had picked out with little reserved cards on them, menus and ice waters ready to go when we walked in. Our guests trickled in little by little and she was patient and attentive. Never rushing us but always there when we were ready. Now the best part, the food. Amazing We couldn't have been more pleased The flavor was great, presentation on point, and you definitely get enough to be stuffed! They even whipped up a special surprise slice of birthday Mexican Cheesecake for my daughter. Very thoughtful! Highly recommend everyone to give Magnolia's Cafe a try. We will be back!! read more

My partner and myself came in on a Sunday morning, the cafe was pretty empty, but the ambiance was fine. After we placed our order it took almost 45 minutes for anything to come out, and it took our second plate another 20 minutes to come out. The food was good but by the time we received it neither of us felt very hungry. Worst Philly Cheesesteak I have ever had ! It was just plain nasty ! The garden salad that I also ordered wasn't much better! Mostly just a pile of lettuce! It did have a sliced avacodo.
