The staff here was so sweet while working with me to determine if I was able to get anything here with all of my crazy allergies. They ended up grabbing some labels and letting me read to determine if I could have it. Luckily, with some modifications, I was able to get something! Super yummy!

Island Provisions is a charming neighborhood cafe and market offering coffee, breakfast sandwiches, lunch, and smoothies. My go-to order is the sausage, egg, and cheese on a buttery croissant, which I get to go. It's always warm, fresh and ready for pick up when I order ahead. No wait! The cafe's interior features lovely farmhouse-style decor, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Many local artists are also featured if you are looking to purchase art. To top it off, their gourmet iced mocha is my absolute favorite beverage--rich, flavorful, and perfect every time.

This place is modern and has really good, fresh breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I like the healthy ish sandwich and ice chai latte. Service is quick and always hafriendly people who work here. One of my favorite breakfast/coffee shops.

Island Provisions was a hot spot I found on social media while visiting Charleston. It was a stormy day, so we opted for the John's Island location so we didn't have to try to find downtown parking. I ordered "the Boss", a sausage, egg, and cheese, with a yummy spicy honey drizzle. I've been on a hot honey kick, so I was beyond excited for this. It usually comes on an Everything bagel, but I subbed for an Asiago. I also ordered a vanilla iced latte. The coffee was good, I expected better based on the hype I saw online. I usually prefer a sweeter latte, so I wish I would have had them add another pump of vanilla. The sandwich was amazing. I could have eaten 2, the hot honey was so good!

After trying many coffee shops in the area, this one is the winner! The coffee is outstanding and their avocado toast is DEVINE!!

I wish I could give it 5 stars because the coffee was really the best I've had in Charleston. My Honey Lavender Latte didn't have lavender in it the first time, but when I went back they added more. They said it was in there the first time, but I couldn't taste it. After they added more, it was perfection! The inside was a little "come sit in my storage area" vibes. Lots of literal boxes of actual supplies. New coffee shop esthetic? Practical/Chic. Maybe it'll grow on me, because I'll definitely be back.

Island Provisions is like that favorite sweater you reach for in the winter: warm, comforting, and incredibly reliable. After living in Charleston for years, this spot remains a staple. They serve solid coffee and delicious morning sandwiches in a clean atmosphere. It's a place that consistently delivers quality, charm, and yummy treats. Thanks for being my warm sweater, Island Provisions.

So they don't do the lox schmear at the downtown location but they do on the John's Island one. It's amazing. Bought a tub to bring home. The sandwiches are also banging. The turkey or the roast beef will not disappoint. They have a pretty awesome selection of bottled wine too and funky other specialty items. Like a squeeze bottle of olive oil that says it's better for cooking with. I bought one of those.

This is in an upscale shopping center heading towards the sea islands from the city. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and in addition to the cafe menu, they sell various premade salads and a few grocery items. I wished they'd have a fresh salad on the menu, but my avocado toast delivered satisfaction, and a caramel pop-tart was appropriately toasted and delicious, as was a strongly flavored chai. The newer downtown location will be more convenient for many, but this place is less crowded.

Everything was so good. All the food I've had here was been so so good and fresh. Love doing work here too

A cute little place for a quick breakfast! I've only been early mornings, but I assume they may get busy based off what I have heard. They have seating indoor and outdoor! They also have a fun selection of market goods. The food is very affordable and delicious! Coffee, smoothies, breakfast/lunch sandwiches!

Vanilla hazelnut latte with oat milk
    Lexi G.

We came here and tried the Classic breakfast sandwich on a croissant, the strawberry scone, and a large iced vanilla hazelnut latte with oat milk. The latte was so good (and beautiful with the colorful straw)!!! The interior was nice and welcoming, and the baristas were very kind. The classic sandwich was also good, and the scone, while it looked amazing, was a bit dry.

I recently visited Heyday Restaurant and was immediately struck by how beautiful and inviting the…read morespace is. It's a truly lovely, relaxed setting--perfect for sitting down, catching up, and enjoying a slower pace. While the service was kind, it felt a bit less attentive than expected, especially since the restaurant wasn't very busy. We found ourselves needing to ask for a few basics like place settings and salt and pepper, which took away slightly from the overall experience. As for the food, there were definitely some highlights. The scrambled eggs were impressively fluffy and generous in portion--closer to four eggs than two--and the peach jam was a standout touch. The sourdough could have been toasted a bit more, and the bacon was slightly undercooked for my preference. The avocado toast, while creative, had quite a few competing flavors on top that overpowered the simplicity I was expecting. Our cappuccinos were average, but still enjoyable. Overall, Heyday has a lot going for it with its beautiful atmosphere and laid-back charm. With a bit more attentiveness in service and small refinements in the food, it could easily become a favorite. I'd absolutely return, especially for the ambiance and a relaxed place to meet and chat.

The restaurant has a pretty good variety of dishes, and it was hard to choose because several sounded so good. We started with the poutine, which had fried cheese curds on top. It was really yummy! The Southern General was a great Yelp find just outside of Kiawah Island! From what we heard, the…read morerestaurant recently changed ownership, and the new chef is doing a fantastic job. This is definitely more of a hole-in-the-wall local spot -- not fancy at all -- but the food was really good and such a nice break from the expensive resort-area restaurants. My husband ordered the fish and chips. It wasn't a super traditional fish and chips because the batter was a little different than expected, but the fish itself was delicious. In fact, it was good enough that he brought the leftovers home and finished them the next day. We also tried the coconut shrimp appetizer. Again, not your typical coconut shrimp presentation, but very tasty. I ordered a club sandwich, which actually wasn't on the current menu anymore but had been on the old menu. They were happy to accommodate the request, which I really appreciated. One daughter got the handmade gnocchi with shrimp and absolutely loved it, and my other daughter ordered the sloppy joes and cleaned her plate. And if you love sweet tea like we do... just know their sweet tea is SWEET. Overall, definitely worth leaving Kiawah Island for good, reasonably priced food in a relaxed local spot.
