This location used to be fun and quick. But last Friday we popped in for some drinks and wings and had such a terrible experience. The music was the best thing happening that day. Service was really slow. So slow that the manager brought out our to-go burger which took over 40 minutes and took our payment for our bill since our waitress hardly checked on us while we were seated outside. Btw, the outside patio was not packed. On top of that, we ordered a 10 piece wing with dry rub but only received 9 wings and the dry rub was in a pile on the plate. The waitress acknowledged we only received 9 wings but never did anything to fix the problem. We think the manager is a great guy and maybe doesn't know how bad the service and food has been but thought he should know. read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Their food is awful . Not a clean environment to eat any meal. Too many dogs allowed due to owner allowing fake Service Dogs inside eating areas. Emotional Support Dogs are NOT the same as Service Dogs & DO NOT have the same rights!! Having a sinking, loud, and clearly untrained dog around while you're trying to have a meal is distasteful. I first came here a few years ago and left a glowing review. However, I recently came back with my family and it was awful. The food wasn't the issue it was the service. Our waitress wasn't the greatest. We never got our drinks refilled before we decided to go ahead and leave. We ordered my niece's food with our appetizers so she could eat quick. Well our appetizers had came and gone before her chicken tenders and fries could come out. We ordered more bread and more chips for our appetizers which was gone once it hit the floor of the patio because the waitress dropped it. It wasn't the fact she dropped it that was the issue; it was the fact it had taken so long to get it in the first place. At this point, we were over it and decided to leave. When we did get my niece's meal, we got it to go. The waitress claimed they were short staffed and that's why it was taking a while to get the food. What about refilling the drinks? That is a job that doesn't require the kitchen to do. We won't be back again I'm afraid. read more

Food was a very flavorless, I had the Monterey quesadilla and the salsa tasted more like marinara than salsa. We vacationed in St. Augustine Fl and this spot was less than a mile from us. Ate there twice- the mushroom Swiss burger and the chicken tenders were delicious. Boneless chicken wings were about average, they do have some good flavors, including Teriyaki, but the "Ridiculously Hot" flavor was just lame. Tasted like Frank's Red Hot with some Cayenne pepper added & a lot of salt. There are those of us that crave the heat, but are frequently disappointed by sauces that don't measure up, even though they give them names that sound hot. Killer burgers. The perfect hangover solution after another late night at The Amp. The young ladies who work here are always so friendly and they never stop smiling. They seem to genuinely enjoy their job. Prompt but not smothering service. Good conversationalist. Very easy on the eyes. Lovely ladies having fun & making money = good times. Ate there tonight - two burgers medium-well with fries. The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly. I would have liked a little salt and pepper on the meat, but could add that myself. Our drinks were slow coming and our server apologized for it. My wife's red wine was warm and not very good. They had a guy playing guitar and singing outside which was nice. Last night, Friday July 25th, 2014, my family and I ventured out of our home in search of a decent meal and a casual evening of good vibes, good drinks, and good fun. We pulled up to Hurricane Grill & Wings and felt lucky to get the last remaining table outside. And then... the evening began. The waitress checked in immediately and we ordered three cocktails and a beer. Approximately 10 minutes later she arrived with two cocktails and the beer and said the third cocktail was close behind. About five minutes after that, the fourth drink did come. But, the margarita was very sour and obviously from a mix. There was no salt on the rim--even though we specifically asked for it, and we also found a tiny bug swimming happily at the surface of one of our drinks. All three cocktails were very weak--we could barely taste the alcohol we would so desperately need later in the evening. She came back to take our order. We requested an appetizer of wings and four entrees. We ordered two veggie burgers with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayonnaise, one order of fish tacos with broccoli on the side, and one grilled mahi mahi sandwich also with broccoli. I should mention that the menu is set up so patrons order their burgers as they wish--with whatever toppings they choose. We did not, in our opinion, place too obnoxious of an order, or change any ingredients/make substitutions. About fifteen minutes after we ordered, the two veggie burgers and the wings arrived. So, now we had an appetizer meant for the table out at the same time as two entrees. Not only that, but the burgers were missing the mayo, cheese, and pickles as toppings. The tomato that they did manage to put on one of the burgers was the very underripe end that was mostly white and green in the center. We asked for the missing ingredients and about 10 minutes later we got a plate of mayo and extra tomato slices. They claimed to not have cheese slices, so they brought us a plate of shredded Monterey Jack for our now-cold veggie burgers. We still didn't have our pickles. The waitress kept coming over and apologizing, but we still waited 20 more minutes for the pickles to be delivered by a different employee. The two people that didn't have their meals finished the wings in about the same time it took my mother and I to eat our burgers. After we finished the veggie burgers, the fish tacos finally came to the table, but the fourth entree was still MIA. The tacos were cold--and obviously had been sitting out for a long time before they reached the table. Meanwhile, we started to notice very cold water dripping on our laps from the slanted plastic tables. If the tables had rims, or if the waitress had given us cocktail napkins for our drinks, the condensation from the drinks wouldn't have gotten us wet. My father finished his fish tacos, and the fourth entree, the mahi sandwich, was still nowhere to be seen. By this point our waitress disappeared and we weren't able to ask her for the fourth entree. Another staff member did manage to come over and buss the entire table before the fourth entree came out. My sister, who was still waiting to eat, began to pick at the plate of lukewarm shredded cheese that was left off to the side. After my mother got up from her seat to find someone inside, a Russell Brand doppelgänger, (supposedly the owner,) came out and distastefully blamed the fourth entree slowness on the waitress saying that she didn't enter it into the computer. GREAT LEADERSHIP!!!! RB came back with the fourth entree several minutes later and said he cooked the fish sandwich himself. My sister did manage to enjoy her meal as we all sat there and watched her eat. We waited approximately ten minutes after everyone was finished for any employee to circulate back in order to ask for the bill. During this time we noticed that the people behind us were starting to show signs of agitation, obviously annoyed that none of them had food. We managed to finally ask for it, and a few seconds later another waitress came to ask us if we needed anything. We told her that we just asked someone for the bill. Then we waited again, the check finally arrived, and we paid in cash so we could leave as soon as possible. Weak drinks, bad food, worse service. read more

The food here is delicious and tasty. The atmosphere is great, though a little crowded in the outside seating area. I got the fish and chips, and boyfriend got the coconut shrimp. It's real, good food. Nothing fake tasting. The food is 5 stars. The service is 3 stars. Our waitress was awful. We had no silverware, didn't get re-fills. She never even showed up. When I went to get I'm my car a blue F150 was parked in a no parking area blocking egress to my driver's side. My wife had to crawl over the the console to get in. I went inside to tell the manager and with little concern came outside just to verify. The logical thing to do would make an announcement and have it moved but that didn't cross his mind. Wanted to try something different today. I saw this sign and we decided to try a new spot. Friendly atmosphere with live music. I was able to score 57 points on hoop fever. Great basketball game just needs a moving backboard. Had to try a Sangria thanks to Blake Shelton! The boneless wings and rice with chicken, mauhi & shrimp rocked. A little bit of heaven. Definitely the place to go for wings. I haven't had anything else from here with the exception of salad and fries so I can't comment on anything else. But when I asked the waitress what her favorite thing was she replied by telling me what the other waitresses eat. Wait, so she doesn't eat here? Uh oh So we got wings. 20 bone in and we selected four different flavors: medium, Thai, Cajun rub, and one with one mustard. All were very good and fried perfectly. The sides I got the rice and my husband got the Parmesan fries (which we found out on the bill there was an up charge). The rice was warm and obviously is made in big batches. Good but disappointing. The fries were very good. All in all not bad, but not great. We will be back but for just wings. read more

tables so close together to the point people were bumping into each other with their chairs. their "Mexican street corn" was just canned corn with Mayo in it, not even heated up. menus were so old you could barely read them. bathroom is disgusting. when you ask for extra condiments, ranch for instance the cups aren't even half full, and you have to pay extra for them. the menu prices do not match what you end up paying at the end, I'm guessing because of how old they are. will not be back. highly recommend the hurricanes in Julington Creek, but definitely not this location. read more
