I am giving Green Flash 2 stars based on a severely rushed recent inspection and the poor quality…read moreof their past repair work. Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.

It's been a few days and I've only seen 2 ants so far (compared to the hundred of ants that were creeping in before) so I'm very pleased with the service so far. He determined it wasn't a gopher (likely a ground squirrel), told me how to handle it myself, and even sent me links to the DIY traps I'd need. He also gave me solid advice on rodents and other pests around the property. No charge. He could have easily sold me something. He didn't. That…read moresaid, accidents happen, like maybe you're fooling around near the side of your house and you gently tap the "inspector's test valve" for your sprinkler system. Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. I've been having major troubles with gophers taking over my property and I contacted Mike at Hurst. He was able to send someone today (much sooner than I had expected) to assess and give me an estimate. Steven showed up ahead of schedule. He took a tour of the property and was we walked he taught me a lot about gophers and the issues involved in solving the problem (mine is extensive). He was very professional, knowledgable, polite and shared a good sense of humor. I found the policy and treatment plan very compatible with my budget and asked him to put me on his list and start treatment as soon as he could schedule me. He was able to start the first round today and will be following up regularly. He also gave me simple instructions on how to monitor the results and how we will maintain on-going contact. I am very impressed and I understand results won't happen overnight as he taught me about the process and how it works and how I can detect success. I will update my comments with the results for my property (I am not alone in this neighborhood with gopher trouble). Mike is awesome he always responds to my calls and manage to schedule the work I. Either in a day .. I have had issues with ants I. Hurst is a rare find these days! Caring customer service, along with integrity. My husband was traveling, when I was invaded by a small swarm of bees. For two days, I either ushered them out onto the patio or swatted them....but they kept coming back. I finally realized I needed professional help! Mike, from Hurst, was the only one I called who took my problem seriously. Within 30 minutes Stephen arrived, got rid of the remaining bee in my ceiling fan, and checked my attic. He said the bees were most likely scouts and would not return. He was right. When I reached for my credit card, to my amazing surprise, there was no charge.
