Highly recommended killer! I moved into a place that had German cockroaches (who knew roach Nationality was relevant?). David Doll went above and beyond for two extermination appointments. David was wonderful, communicated when he was on his way, arrived on time, walked through the place, and talked me through what he was going to do. He showed me some places to caulk up before his next visit so the roaches can't create nests again. We had removed our dishwasher so he could put poison behind and he laid bait on the dishwasher, which was outside, too. He was thorough and came back for a follow up. During the follow-up he sprayed the outside laundry shed, too. He called after the follow-up with a few details and noted that we could caulk the place where the outside air conditioner box connected with the apartment. I would their company a zero but there's no category for that . We spent $1600 to have our house exterminated for rats/mice etc. They came out set traps and I was told that they will come back three times every two weeks for a month to see if they caught anything. I called them after six weeks because no one had been in contact with to schedule a recheck date. Then another person came out to try to fix my front door, which was not done properly after the first diagnosis so that the mice could not be let in. Once I had to two weeks to have them come back to check the traps. Still to this day no one has been over here to check the traps and I away my money. Do not use them. They are a rip off. read more

Signed up for a special. Didn't see much of a difference at all after the service and didn't want to continue the service. Called to cancel and had to pay an additional $200 to cancel. Very unhappy. My husband was told he could cancel at anytime and was never notified of this. Was told it was in the fine print agreement. I don't support business' that do this. read more

We chose this company because of their great reviews on Google, but it's a decision we regret. Our experience was a huge disappointment which only caused additional and unwanted stress. It was so bad, I felt compelled to write this review; something I've never done on the internet. It started with one problem and just snowballed from there. First, I received a phone call from their office telling me that the heat treatment team had to reschedule because they couldn't do the job on an open roof (a roofing company was doing repairs on our roof that day) and that there would be $500 "cancellation fee". This was a surprise not just because of the high cost but because there was no mention of a $500 cancellation fee on the heat treatment form we were asked to sign prior to the appointment. Also, how would a customer have known that this would be a problem? I had informed this company beforehand that the roof was being repaired the day the heat treatment was scheduled and yet not one employee (termite/heat treatment professional) had the foresight to identify this potential problem and subsequent consequence before it happened? Way to set your customer projects up for success. They had no problem tacking on the extra high fee though. Next, I noticed that the total on our invoice was off, and when I brought it to their attention, they said they forgot to deduct $900. Furthermore, when we looked at the repairs they did in comparison to the cost, we were shocked. Attached are photos of what we got for supposedly over $2,000 worth of repairs: a small piece of wood underneath the roof, new trim around a small bathroom window, and a poor paint job (certainly not the professional work you'd expect from a licensed and reputable company). The paint color they used is darker than the original color of the house but more disappointing than the color difference was how it was painted. Notice the 2 additional test swatches on the wall to the lower left of the window as well. To top off the disappointment with the repair team's poor workmanship and the exorbitant charges, they resorted to using intimidation tactics (the inspector told us that we wouldn't be able to close on our VA loan if we didn't go through with the heat treatment and threatened to send us to collections) after expressing our dissatisfaction. When a company threatens you in one sentence and then offers to help you in the next, the offer of help reeks of insincerity. This response to our legitimate complaint was unprofessional. I knew then that this was not a company we could trust and certainly not one that is customer focused. Communication with the owner, Paul, was not much better. He said he was available to meet; on a date and time we were NOT available. By then, we had already chosen to take our business elsewhere. They knew we were operating on a timeline and had a deadline to meet. Besides, when the owner replied, "Your roofer had better luck with a paint match than we did" after I shared a photo of the professional work done on our home by the roofing company, it was clear there was no point in communicating further. When even the owner finds nothing wrong with the kind of "work" you see in the photos attached, what more is there to say? In the end, the company got what they care about most: our money. The owner never addressed our complaint about the cost of repairs and continued to demand full payment. They waived the $500 cancellation fee; something we should never have been charged to begin with. Throughout it all, they expressed confusion though I clearly communicated by phone and by email, that I did not believe the charges matched the repairs/service provided. I've never done business with so many "confused" people within the same company. Don't waste your time with this company like we did. Fortunately, we had a great experience with the next termite company. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and in such short notice. Everything was done to satisfaction the day of, and they did more, professional looking repairs at HALF the cost! It was the positive experience we thought we'd get with Major League Pest but didn't. Lesson learned. **Even now, in the owner's response, he deflects and NEVER addresses the high cost of repairs. He blamed the $500 cancellation fee on the subcontractor ("The $500.00 fee is what the heat subcontractor charges for rescheduling and we are just the messenger.") but WAS able to waive the cancellation fee in good faith later? The only "credits" applied were the $900 correction and $500 fee. Simple math in comparison to the original contract. I DID respectfully reply to the owner. His response included ZERO words of appreciation for my feedback but an offer to repaint and a request for payment by a certain date. It's interesting how our feedback is taken seriously after our complaints were made public. SHADY business! read more

I have lived in many parts of California (from SF to SB to LA to OC to now SD) for nearly 30 years and rare is the day that I don't encounter some critter - from ants to silverfish to that one summer in Newport Beach where I had my first and only face-to-face encounter with a female black widow (which I am happy to report that I demolished with my good friend Terro.) That said, even though I am usually on the right side of these encounters, every so often one of these creepy-crawlys makes their way into my home to presumably seek revenge for their fallen ancestors and/or comrades which upon discovery, ultimately results in me having to abandon whatever it was I was doing, or not doing, to unleash a counteroffensive to eliminate the threat which is simply put, annoying and every so often, terrifying (like when I was in college renting the basement of my brother's home where one fine morning I woke up to a garden spider sitting on my chest...staring at me. FML that rattled me for a few days.) However, since I began using Major League Pest (MLP) for monthly pest control service when the Ol Lady and I moved back to SD, the number of invasions has all but stopped (look, it's IMPOSSIBLE to prevent ALL insects or pests from getting into your house - at some point at least one is going to find its way in) as it's extremely unusual for us to find even a single ant during the hottest days which is a testament to the great work MLP does to secure our home's perimeter. Furthermore, our technician, Tony, is an outstanding human - he always informs us when he arrives and is on our property, is very respectful of our home and property, and always spends as much time as needed to do the job right. Tony's a true professional that has domain expertise and is very kind and polite to us if/when we need any additional help or have any questions. Oh, and when he completes the service, he always leaves an MLP branded note on the front door handle informing us of the work he did and if he noticed anything out of the ordinary and while this appears to be a company practice, it's still a nice touch. And recently I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel, the GM of the company and son of the founder, who was very professional and knowledgeable about some questions we had about termites so it's clear that MLP runs a tight ship with good leadership and company culture. All said, while I do enjoy smashing a dangerous spider or destroying a fly to let the animal kingdom know who is in charge, I prefer peace and tranquilty and MLP provides me and my family with just that. After another company found termites in two wood boards on my roofing, I asked Major League Pest to also inspect my home and provide a treatment quote. Dan Nowtash, the owner's son, came out and was very detailed in his inspection. He was so careful, in fact, that he found evidence of termites in my attics as well. He showed me the photos he had taken while crawling around the insulation, and I thought, "That would have been easy to miss!" Fortunately, I did not need tenting. I liked Dan's professionalism and the company's prices, so I hired Major League for termite treatment and quarterly pest control (to take care of ants, spiders and snails). Tony Rojas, the quarterly pest technician, actually came out the next day. Tony was very personable and kind! He took his time de-webbing and spraying, and listened to my requests. A few days later, Michael and Robert took care of the termites. Robert did such a great job caulking and applying primer to my wood, I would not have known he was in training. (He would have painted the wood, but I told him he didn't need to, as I was going to have my house painted soon.) Michael also was thorough and trustworthy, which is important when people are working inside your house. Since Major League Pest sent two people out, everything was finished in an hour. This review would've gotten a 5 star rating but for the fact that the 1 dry rot board that was replaced at my roof edge was not cut properly so that the edges butted up against the others as required. My roofers that came out to seal the roof had to replace the board MLP had installed. But other than that, the fascia replacement & secret garden framing was excellent carpentry work! Extremely impressed with those areas! I originally hired MLP for termite fumigation but discovered a lot of what I thought was termites was dry rot. But I did have some termite damage too, so bc they could do it all & repair inside patio damage too, I chose them as I felt they also gave me a very fair price for everything & could get it all done with 1 company. The customer service is great; they are timely & "The Fume Company" they used was excellent too. I would also recommend "them" as well as MLP. Seamless project! Very impressed! read more

Termite inspection turned up rot in a huge piece of lumber in my pergola (like 250lb chunk of 12*12" by 10 foot section) .. it was complicated by some cool decorative cuts that were needed to match the remaining good section. Your guys were Great! They did a really thorough job, corrected one small thing I asked of them, and cleaned up perfectly. I called/messaged numerous businesses and it ultimately came down to pest patrol, we do creedy or major league. what i was looking for in a company was a reasonable initial price, quarterly price and I wanted to cancel at anytime. major league was the best in price. They are also one of the few companies who don't bind you to a yearly contract. Cam came out to give me my estimate and he was just the nicest guy. He loves the company he works for and was very thorough of what the job entails. It's a family owned business so you can tell they really value their customers vs some random call center answering your calls and concerns. Kaylee is always answering the phone and she is the sweetest! Super friendly and happy. I noticed a spot missed in my garage and kaylee scheduled someone to come out for the next day to have it sprayed for spiders. Super easy with great attitude.
