I had a lovely breakfast experience at Huskers one morning when my cousin, who was visiting from out of town, joined me. We were craving breakfast, and Huskers turned out to be the perfect choice. Their menu struck the right balance with a good variety of options without overwhelming us. I decided to go for the salmon with creamy grits, cheese eggs, raisin toast, and a side of spinach and tomatoes. I must say, it was a delightful meal. The salmon was cooked just the way I like it, and the grits were wonderfully creamy and flavorful. The cheese eggs were cheesy without being overly runny, and even though I'm not usually a fan of raisin toast, I found it surprisingly enjoyable. The combination of spinach and tomatoes added a burst of flavor to the meal. After finishing my plate, I couldn't help but wish for seconds. I told myself that I would definitely return to Huskers because I genuinely enjoyed the meal. My cousin and her family also had a great time, and we all appreciated the variety and quality of the menu items. The service was top-notch as well, enhancing the overall experience. My family and I visited on 2/17/18. The food was outstanding and delivered to out table quickly (we were in between soccer tournament games)! I had the shrimp and cheese grits with spinach. My wife had the fried fish and grits. My daughters had the egg and cheese biscuit and the grilled chicken sandwich. The smile on everyone's face at first bite said it all. The staff was professional and the restaurant was spotless. As an added bonus, you'll even get a peek of the top of Stone Mountain. A top notch dining experience all around. My time was not valued today. The greeter sat someone ahead of me, had a server that wasn't theirs take their order ahead of others that had been seated, they received their food ahead of others that already placed an order. It seems as if she knew them and giving them preferential. I value my time and don't like for it to be wasted. I will not be coming back. read more
