I love trying little cafes and diners. We were visiting Stone Mountain and looking for a nice place for a late lunch. I was a little leery bc some of the reviews aren't great. IMHO - they are crazy. Ambience - it's a super cute little diner. They pipe oldies in the background. Plenty of seating - mix of booths and table/chairs combo. There's also a bar on one side. Walking in - you can't but drool over the pasties in the display. OMG - they really look amazing! Service - out service was terrific. She was helpful and patient with our questions too. Food - there were lots of complaints in the comments over price and I think they're way off. This isn't fast food; it's a sit-down diner with a really decent menu. We had 3 people dining and ordered a giant piece of cake. The total tab was $55. That's really not unreasonable. It's also worth mentioning that the portions are also generous. 2 out of 3 of us brought home half of our meal to enjoy later. I also had some cake packaged for later and cannot wait to try the "crazy" cake.

Visited on a Saturday after running a few errands in the area. We were seated immediately and our server came and took our drink orders, water. We continued to review and asked her a couple of questions that she answered with ease. With her assistance I ordered the vegetable panini and my husband ordered the Greek plate. We continued to talk amongst ourselves while we waited for our food. Food came out and everything looked good. Food was hot and seasoned well, we were satisfied with our orders. I wish I could remember our server's name but all I know is she was tall and had an accent. She handled herself and her tables very well. We also ended up ordering a slice of snickers cake and carrot cake, although there were so many to choose from. Cake was good but I think next time I'm going to go for a slice of cheesecake.

Entrance/parking: wrap around parking at the building. On the weekends it is crowded. Staff do a great job trying to seat each party as long as everyone is there. Food/ambiance: food comes out quickly. This diner has a small bar. Of course I was able to get a mimosa or two. Ordered hell chicken tacos. They're small, but full. I'm not a huge fan of their house potato. But I'm not a huge fan of potatoes. I didn't try their pies or cakes, but Oh my gosh! They look decadent. I will be back to try. Price points are perfect and reasonable for a diner.

Upon entering the restaurant there is a sign that has you to wait to be seated. They have a large display of delicious looking cakes. They were very tall and inviting. I wanted to order cake instead of a meal because they looked so good. Also in the front aside from the chairs and tables at the counter there were more desserts. I did not try any but they all looked very good. At the time that we arrived there were not many customers inside. The TVS were on so we got to watch a little bit of that. Not sure what we were watching but the screens were large.I did not use the bathroom but the inside, the floors and the tables appeared to be cleaned. The silverware that was wrapped in a napkin was also clean. I did not see any water stains which is usually at most of the restaurants. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. We did not have to call for her much because she continually made her rounds to check on us and others while we ate. The food was just ok. To be more specific it was very bland. I ordered the salmon, shrimp pasta and the Chicken Marsala. Both meals looked great. The presentation was fabulous but the flavor was lacking. I was glad they had salt and pepper at the table because it was HEAVILY used. I was hoping the meals would have more flavor but I was disappointed. The meal portions were a good size but the flavor made you wish it was less. I did bring my leftovers home not sure if they will be eaten though. This was my first time coming here and I have seen the restaurant on a number of occasions. The best thing we had was the appetizers. It was the cheese sticks. They were cooked correctly. They were good and passed the pull test. Which is when you take a bite and the cheese is still connected even after you pull it, so we know it was fresh and hot. Even though the restaurant was clean, the waitress was nice, and the portions were of good size I will not be returning only because I needed more flavor in the food and Metro missed the mark.

We are in town on vacation and this place was recommended by our hotel staff. It did not disappoint. Food was great, service too. Lela or maybe Lila (I think that was her name, an extremely lovely Greek heritage woman). The diner is clean as can be. Food was very good and good size portions. Arrived timely. Our ice tea glasses never got empty before they were topped off. That always a rarity for me. Seldom does any restaurant keep my glass full, but it was here. Off the hook service with a smile. Hubby had ribs and wings, I had their special Steak stir fry. We were so full we couldn't eat it all, but we did order slices of their cakes to bring back to the hotel for later. We hear their peanut butter cookies are off the hook and always sold out quickly. Lila offered to hold a half dozen for me tomorrow when they come in. PB cookies are my favorite so I gotta try them. We did and they were awesome

Awesome place, awesome people, awesome food and awesome atmosphere. I ended up here with 7 members of my film crew for lunch out of need and necessity of proximity, but it ended up being one of the best food/lunch/diner experiences I have had had in a long time. Food is absolutely old school classic diner style, and with a super tasty classic diner style dishes, and an amazing and very friendly vibe. They also have some of the most visually beautiful' and tasty assortment of cakes, pies, desserts etc. I have ever soon in any diner I was ever in. Highly Recommended!

The food here is always amazing! I have tried several items throughout many years and the food is always consistently tasty. I have never had a bad dish. Excellent place to eat for breakfast, groups and late night dining. service is pretty fast and excellent conconsidering how busy they get. Plenty of parking around the building. They also have a lot of cakes to choose from, although I have yet to try any of them in the many years I have been coming here.

This is a Reuben panini. I love Reuben's but this one was nasty. Loaded with fat into the little red meat.

The parking lot is crowded on a Sunday morning. People really show up for the restaurant. I choose To Go order. The Reuben was lined with white fat. I gagged after I began to chew it. $15 bucks too, with no drink.

Neat lil convenient space sitting in Stone Mountain, adjacent to the Netherworld macabre. Caters mostly to older folks usually; and due to proximity to N., you get all kinds at night. Menu quite varied and Expansive. Check out the numerous pics. Active bar, and if you love cakes n desserts, u came to the right place. Grub choices everything from Greek gyros, Italian lasagna, Fajitas, to good ole backyard burgers n fries. The mystifying calamari and salmon were nice btw. Service was rite on. Hopefully u sit in Dunja's or Naima's areas, with v kind prompt service and energy. Thx.

Unfortunately, my recent Sunday visit for a takeout order left me thoroughly disappointed, and nearly $50 lighter with very little to show for it. The Food: I ordered two items: the pimento cheese fritters and the shrimp and grits. The pimento cheese fritters were, in a word, average. They looked and tasted like standard fried cheese balls--nothing visually impressive, nothing exciting about the flavor, and at $16 (or $4 a piece), I expected something with a little more creativity or punch especially at entree pricing for an appetizer. It was just pimento cheese, deep fried. That's it. Just as literal as could be. The shrimp and grits was the bigger disappointment. At $26, I expected a hearty, well-portioned dish. What I got was four average-sized shrimp and barely any andouille sausage--and I mean barely. It was just one thin slice of smoked sausage, cut in half, and placed in the entire dish. That was it. The portion felt light the moment I picked up the bag, and once I got to my friend'd and opened it, that feeling was confirmed. I will say, as an avid Yelp user I did my homework before ordering. I looked through photos on their page and noticed that their Shrimp & Grits looked completely different across three separate photos. When I asked the staff about it when I arrived, they mentioned the menu rotates every twelve weeks, which is fine, but the inconsistency made it hard to know what I was actually ordering. Atmosphere: I didn't dine in, but from what I could see, the space seemed nice. It's located in a charming, up-and-coming part of Lilburn, and the staff I interacted with were friendly and pleasant. So there's that. Final Thoughts: This meal was definitely not worth $50. It wasn't worth the drive, and honestly, it wasn't worth the effort. The food was underwhelming, the portions were stingy for the price, and the value just wasn't there. My friend loved the place, so maybe they caught a good day, but based on my experience, I don't know if I'll personally be returning. If I'm being honest, if I wasn't so tired then and it wasn't as far as it was, I would've just driven back, returned the food, and gotten a refund.

Seeking economical choice with good food & drinks. Mission accomplished here! Wasn't our first choice. Dining on a Monday is hard, as so many restaurants are closed. But it turned out to be an excellent choice, as we loved our apps, drinks and meals. Had a nice size table with plenty of room in the quieter dining area in the back, away from the bar and TVs. There are TVs in back area as well, just not as many. Started with the nachos with beef chili, and the blackened brussel sprouts. Both were delicious and gone quickly! I had the cheeseburger salad. After all this deep fried, heavy southern food and grits, wanted something a little lighter. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. Onion rings were delicious. Huge plate for a side dish. Others had various wraps, and everyone loved their meals. Good tap beer selection. We had a variety of cold ones. If you're in the area looking for a good local, affordable place to have a meal or drinks, pick this spot. Its family friendly as well.

I stopped into Big Rock Cafe to see what kind of goodies they had. Pretty generic menu. Burgers, chicken sammys, fries and shakes. I see that they had a smash burger combo meal. It sounded pretty legit so I went ahead and ordered it. It does come with fries but not a drink. There was an order ahead of mine. It took forever for their order to be prepared and even longer for mine. I'm assuming that they prepare orders individually which can cause such a long wait time for your customers. I can't imagine if we came on a super busy day with a ton of tourists and they work on orders individually. The wait time would be insane. My burger and fries came out hot. I appreciate the amount of fries they serve you. Biting into my burger, you can taste the grilled onions, pickles and special sauce. The sauce had a heat element to it. I didn't really care for it. My patty was really dry and hard. I don't know where the smashed element came into play but as many smashed burgers I have had, today's burger was nothing like the ones I have had before. It reminded me of an overcooked burger patty you get at a bbq. I ate as much as I could which was less than half before I threw in the towel. It was an awful burger. The dining area could use a little tending to. The floors are dirty and sticky. You can feel your shoes sticking to the floor. It's so gross as a consumer to eat in such a dirty area. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. I should have just held off eating here but I was starving. My husband paid 20 bucks for me to eat a third of my meal.
