This was our first visit here. The food was great, and most of the staff seemed friendly! However, our server seemed to be in a bad mood, which made us a little uncomfortable asking for anything. Toward the end, she also shouted at another staff member, which made us eager to leave sooner. Hopefully this was just an off day. Otherwise, everything else was good, and I could see us coming back.

Ive eaten here before when it was another name, its been 4yrs, conveniently located on Main St wth good free parking. Upon entering we were greeted with kindness and taken to our table. The waitress was on point the entire evening. The restaurant has been upgraded with a new bar/ tv screens. I was shocked at the transformation of Catch Seafood! The waitress was very attentive, good customer service skills, We ordered the fried green tomatoes, fried seafood platter, and one boiled seafood platter. All the food was seasoned and presented well. The portion size was plentiful, two people care easily share if needed. They do have fresh deserts as you check out for sale.

I recently went here on a date night and I can't believe I hadn't been here before. Their portion sizes are HUGE! My fiancé and I could've easily split one dinner. We ordered the shrimp combo and the plates were overflowing. Not to mention their cocktails are wonderful and cheap. We had a few mules and they were only $6, and that was normal price. Customer service was excellent as well. We will be back for sure!

44th wedding anniversary dinner with my loving wife.

So, in case you're new to my reviews, I grew on the coast of SC. My wife and I grew up eating seafood in Murrells Inlet. It was the seafood capital of SC for many years. I know good seafood when I find it. This is a very clean and quiet restaurant. Booth seating. They are roomy enough for four, the tables are wall mounted, no wobbling or knocking knees! Cozy for a couple side by side roomy for two face to face. The service was great. The staff is very polite and professional. Our server, Alexis, was very attentive and polite. We got the fried mushrooms with ranch as an appetizer. Served piping hot in a boat shaped basket. Seasoned well. We enjoyed it. We both ordered the broiled seafood platter. Everything was hot and seasoned well. The fish was flaky and fresh. The scallops and shrimp were very good. I'm not big a fan of clams, but their stuffed clam was awesome. It won me over. The stuffed crab was great as well. The hush puppies are finger shaped and light, fluffy and tasty. We both liked the sweet tea, very important detail for southern dinners. This dinner was to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. This will be our go-to seafood restaurant for the future. They have a full bar, a warm and cozy atmosphere, and I think you should give them a try. Large menu to choose from. I know you'll find something good here.

Is this a NEW restaurant or just Harbor Inn with a new name?

It is where Harbor Inn was and may be same owners, but food was 'more' of that makes sense. Very good. We have been a couple of times and really enjoyed it.

I really commend the quality of service that was provided throughout our entire dining experience. I was really impressed. They bring a very cute butterfly fruit plate for kids, which I thought was really beautiful and very on target. We tried the Japanese fried chicken appetizer with the sauce on the side. They came in chicken nugget form, and they were really good with a very subtle flavor and fairly crispy. The wedge salad was also tasty along with the garlic bread. We enjoyed the brussels sprouts as well. I ordered the flank steak with mashed potatoes and the corn. The dish was so delicious. Their fries were also really good. The food and the entire dining experience were very pleasing. I love the flavor, and everything tasted fresh. When we return we will try one of the boards.

The cocktails are AMAZING -- seriously some of the most unique and delicious drinks in the area. They're creative, flavorful, and beautifully made. Nikki, the bartender, is an absolute gem. She is so kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful when I'm feeling indecisive. I can tell her what flavors I'm in the mood for, and she'll make something off-menu that ends up being perfect every time. The fact that she remembers me and my boyfriend even though we've only been 3 or 4 times says so much about the level of care and attention she gives her guests. The food is pretty good overall, but for us it doesn't quite match the price point. That said, we happily sit at the bar because the drinks and service make it completely worth it. If you're going, grab a seat at the bar and let Nikki take care of you -- you won't regret it!

Brazil the country has some of the best meat and food in the world! Now on to Rio Express Grill in Lexington, SC... This new Brazilian restaurant is situated in the heart of Lexington, SC and is a great addition to the local food options. We decided to do a online lunch order. You can order online very easy thru Toast. The staff was very friendly and professional when I went inside to pickup my order. We ordered two chicken bacon wrap bowls after reading a few Google reviews. Their bowl prices are between $9.99-$17.99, and seem to be very affordable. Now the bowls were seasoned very well, and we truly enjoyed the potato salad, plantations, beats, and the proteins. The bowls seem to be full of veggies and very little meat, approx 1oz of chicken and a half strip of bacon. The disappointing part of our meals, neither bowls were well portioned. We felt that both bowls did not have no more than 1-2% of the meats, so we can't really comment on chicken with bacon. We were expecting that the main dish (chicken & bacon) to be at least 25% of the portion size. We did enjoy our lunch options, but after spending $32+ we were both still hungry. We felt like their prices to portions aren't aligned. Vegans will most definitely enjoy all the different flavors in one bowl. Im being generous with my review in hopes they listen to the customers, if they want to be successful in this town. We have Cava and other places that serve bowls close to them, that give a good portion size of protein for the same price or less.

We just left Bone Appetit after celebrating our daughter's birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary, and unfortunately the experience did not match the occasion. There were definitely some positives. The first set of wings, the eggrolls, the salmon, and the lava cake were all enjoyable. Unfortunately, the rest of the evening became increasingly disappointing. The crab dip was advertised as sizzling hot, but both orders arrived only warm. We waited over an hour for our food on what appeared to be a fairly slow evening, and to be clear, we had no problem with the wait itself. We understand quality food can take time. The issue was waiting that long and still receiving food that was cold. The steaks were not cooked to the requested temperatures and were also cold when served. The tomahawk steak especially was disappointing because it had a noticeably gamey flavor around the bone. I'm not sure whether it was the seasoning or rub used, but the flavor was off-putting. The cheesy potatoes were the only item that actually arrived hot. The Brussels sprouts were mostly dry leaves with barely any actual sprouts. Another issue was the inconsistency from plate to plate. The second and third orders of wings were noticeably different from the first batch. We chose not to send food back because we understand food waste, kitchen pressure, and the challenges restaurants face. We simply wanted to enjoy the evening and make the best of it. Still, after such a long wait, leaving unsatisfied was disappointing. What stood out most was that the owner was nearby, aware that concerns had been brought up, yet never came over to check on the table personally. This review is not about seeking compensation or attacking a local business. It is simply honest feedback from customers who truly wanted to enjoy and support a local restaurant during an important family celebration.

Well walked in and see plenty of two tops open and the hostess made me a reservation anyway. Yes and then asked me to please wait for five minutes and then she would seat me. Sure enough after five minutes almost to the dot she took me to one of the many empty tables. Several were two tops. No by the time I left many were full but still trying to force the reservation issue on a rainy, humid yucky Wednesday night is a bit much. The waitress was very nice and very professional as you would expect in a relatively upscale restaurant. She took my drink order and my she crab soup. The ole fashioned was ok. Not great and if you look at the pix it is a bit short. The she crab soup was thinner than most and had an excessive amount of shell in it. Some rather large pieces. Some shell is to be expected but this was a bit much. The bread for dipping was delicious and the soup had plenty of crab in it to go with the shells. Then came time to order main course. I have had salmon, reddish and tuna this week so opted for the scallops. I asked to swap both sides for a side salad and was told no. They don't do that. Hmmm. Usually for a small up charge yes. I have never been just told flat out no till this evening. She advised her manager said no when she went and asked so I had to choose two sides so went with the green beans and the Cajun coleslaw. The scallops were a bit small but ok. The green beans were delicious. Best part of the whole meal. The Cajun slaw was nice and creamy by a bit too spicy so it was left. The place is an old house that has been converted into a nice restaurant. It is nicely decorated and has upscale feel but it is lacking. Had high hopes but trying too hard to be something in an area with lots of restaurant choices. No is what I will say when asked if I will return next trip.

Since we were in the Columbia area, we had to come back! The service here is top-notch, and ALL high end restaurants should take note. Servers and managers are always standing around in the hallway practically waiting to help you, are there to start conversation and make you enjoy your experience. Our waitress constantly came around to check on us. Great work! In Charleston, we got the prime rib and loved it. So, as a result, we got the prime rib again AND loved it again! It was just like how we remembered it; tender and great flavor. Their sides come in large portions (shareable). They do have great mac-and-cheese. It kind of gives us like a Spanish vibe, probably because it consists of a certain spice or Jalapeños (my guess), but that does not make it spicy! All it does is adds complexity to the flavor. For dessert, we shared the cookie skillet. It comes with ice cream on top with chocolate syrup and caramel on the side. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.. that's how we like it!! I highly recommend you give Halls Chophouse a try. You will not be disappointed!

The problem with the coffee was the cream. It should probably be served around room temperature. Because the creamer was so cold several of our party had to ask for frequent warm-ups. Our server, Kristen, was very personable, pleasant and accommodating. A couple of us ordered Bellini's and mimosas. My Bellini was just OK. My standards are high, since I've had them in Venice, Italy. The Hall's Bellini was not very tasty and on the watery side. My wife tried to order the sweet potato pancakes, but they were out. So she was disappointed, and ended up with the lavender scented brioche French toast. She thought it was OK but was seeking a stronger flavor. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy. I don't order this very often, but there was a good portion of sausage and the flavor of the sausage was enjoyable without being too salty. Our daughter ordered crab cake Eggs Benedict which features a creole sauce. She enjoyed it, but the temperature of the dish could have been hotter. Our niece's daughter had the farmers omelette with the apple sage sausage. The apple-sage sausages were excellent (I got to sample one) and a very good deal. The ambience of Halls is always great. The service is usually quite good and the food is usually excellent. This is our second brunch at Halls and I'll have to say that our first brunch experience was a little bit better for the reasons noted above. I still rate it the best brunch in town.

Bison, elk, boar, rabbit. These are proteins you don't see on most menus. The restaurant leans into a woodland theme with greenery hanging throughout the space. It borders on a bit much, but the open kitchen visible from the dining room grounds the whole experience and adds a nice touch of theater. The seating was comfortable and well spaced, perfect for a family dinner where you actually want to hear each other talk. Our server was outstanding, easily 5 out of 5. She knew the menu cold, offered thoughtful recommendations, and struck that ideal balance of attentive without being intrusive. She made the evening better. The drinks were mostly a win. Two cocktails were excellent, creative and well balanced. A third was over iced and fell flat. Minor miss, but worth noting. The food is where The Hollow really shines. The charcuterie board was a fantastic start, featuring a well curated spread of wild game meats, quality cheeses, fig, and mustard. The mains delivered across the board: salmon, elk, and bison all came out beautifully with great flavor and generous portions. The sides deserved their own applause, which isn't something I say often. The dessert menu was the one soft spot. Nothing grabbed our attention, so we ended up heading across the street to Kaminsky's for something sweet. For a kitchen that puts this much care into everything else, the dessert offerings felt like an afterthought. A couple of notes on the bill to be aware of: we were charged a few dollars for swapping a vegetable side. There was a 3% credit card surcharge that caught us off guard. When you're out with the family and the tab runs into the hundreds $, most folks are paying with a card. That's a fee I'd want to know about upfront. On the menu, from the server, somewhere visible before the check arrives. The bottom line: The Hollow is a creative, well executed restaurant with standout food and excellent service. If you're in Columbia, it's well worth a reservation.
