We had a group of five people renting skis, boots, and poles. When they aren't busy, you can get out of the shop within 20 minutes or so. The staff is friendly and eager to assist. You can change equipment anytime and they help you find the right equipment for your needs and skill level. After the first day of skiing, I changed to longer skis (went to 172cm). Then, after three days, I changed my boots because one was hurting my foot. I went to a more narrow boot. Each night, we stored our skis and poles at their shop. They give you a numbered blue plastic triangle to collect your equipment the next day. You only pay for the days you use the equipment. They have different levels of skis (Demo $38, Performance $26, and Sport $20). We opted for the Performance skis. Overall, an excellent little shop. They don't have much equipment to sell. The boots are in great condition as well and the men in the shop are careful and knowledgable about how to fit each person to the best skis and best boots. We came here specifically because they have the opportunity for you to rent (demo) the equipment before you buy it, and their convenient location at the base of Park City Mountain Resort means you can swap things easily during the day. They can also do boot fittings with custom orthotics. The staff provides excellent service and was very knowledgeable. The owner Jackson himself helped us and he is wonderful. Highly recommended if you want to try before you buy.

I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

(I had several questions) 10 minutes in golf department. Same story. 20 minutes in BBQ and the two guys there seemed more worried about the display looking great than offering help. I've always loved Scheels but I am very disappointed with the current lake of service or lack of. I hope things improve! (I only spent $250)
