The Hyatt Regency is one of my go-to hotels when I'm traveling , affordable yet with that almost luxury feel, and this location did not disappoint. I only stayed one night, but it was a great experience from start to finish. Rates were super reasonable, and I was even able to upgrade to a suite for just $30 (definitely worth it). The suite itself was massive, plenty of space for multiple people, clean bathroom, and a comfortable setup overall. The hotel is huge, with a bar on-site, and the location couldn't be better. It's within walking distance of downtown and plenty of bars and restaurants, making it really convenient if you're looking to explore. Overall, no complaints at all. Great value, great stay. I'd absolutely recommend the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and would stay here again without hesitation.

I generally enjoy staying at the Hyatt. This one was just fine. The building was old but the rooms felt somewhat renovated inside. The room was actually a nice size and didn't feel too cramped at all. I had room to put my things around without bumping into things. I would have loved an updated shower, but it was a standard, older one with a tub. The water pressure wasn't amazing but it worked. There was a mini fridge in the room, which was clean. I specifically booked this hotel because I thought it had an indoor hot tub. Not many in the area do and the majority of those are suite-like hotels, which I didn't want to stay at for fear of children. There is NOT a hot tub here. I was pretty disappointed by this, but it's kind of my fault. They have a pool and steps to what I thought was a hot tub, but it wasn't. It's not listed on their website. I guess I just assumed and hoped. The pool area was clean and quiet. It would have been a perfect place to relax in a hot tub. Valet parking is $39/day but you can get in and out privileges. There is no room service, but they have a 24 hour market, which I believed served pizza. I was missing the strong fragrance that usually permeates the air at other Hyatt's. The front desk attendees and parking people were nice.

Happy hour cocktails and food menu is fantastic. The quality of drinks and food as well as the prices...can't be beaten. Try the smoked wings or meatballs. The burger is delicious as well - Kobe beef with the perfect meat to bun ratio. Finally, the staff is top notch:

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for the weekend and overall had a nice time. I was there for a conference being held at the hotel. The hotel itself is huge. It's also noticeably clean, which was great. There is a beautiful lobby on the first floor with a "functional art" display of white books and large bookshelves. It's a great place to get some work done. There is also a small game room. The lobby is spacious and filled with comfy furniture. There is also a little shop/coffee shop that is open 24/7. It's apparently the only coffee shop downtown that is open 24/7. The prices are wild, but there is a good amount of demand, especially with event guests needing snacks and drinks during long days. Our room was spacious with great views of downtown. It was a 10/10 for cleanliness. Sadly, it wasn't a great room for sleep. I had a pretty hard time getting any due to the quality of the sheets and pillows and the temperature in the room. The sheets felt like a paper bag and the pillows deflated and stayed pancake flat all night. The lowest temperature you could set the room to was 65F. However, event when set at that, it never read less than 67F. Since that was on the other side of the room from the bed, where we were sleeping was even warmer. I appreciated the complimentary toothpaste and cotton swabs, as I forgot mine. The shower is a rainfall style (not my fave), but the water pressure was adequate. For the event I volunteered for, the ballroom was the perfect size for our ~762 guests. It is absolutely frigid though, so bring a jacket (or two) if you plan to host/attend an event here. The elevators get pretty backed up (and require key cards) during event breaks, but they clear after ~15 minutes. I do want to give a shoutout to the cleaning staff. They worked their tails off all weekend and were so accommodating and all smiles! For parking, there is valet available, or you can park at a nearby garage. Be warned though that the one directly across the street charges $62 for a weekend stay. Overall, I would stay here and host an event here again!

I enjoyed my trip to Cincinnati by way of the Hyatt Regency. The staff was friendly, the lobby and rooms were relatively clean, and the location was great. I called ahead and because I was landing very early in the day on a red eye and they said they would be able to accommodate an early check in. Upon arrival, the woman at the desk said she didn't know what I was talking about and couldn't help. She told us to wait for the morning shift to arrive which just meant another hour in the lobby. Once the front desk was fully staffed, they helped us to our room immediately and waived the early check in fee for the inconvenience. Our room with a king bed on the 22nd floor wasn't particularly spacious, but it was cozy. The view was worth the long elevator ride! The biggest downside was the bathroom. Not only was it incredibly cramped, but there was no vent so it quickly became muggy. The faucet was also misaligned with the sink which made water go everywhere. Towels, toiletries, and sheets were pretty crappy but I guess that's par for the course in hotels nowadays. The room was also incredibly dark, especially on a cloudy day when most of the light comes from the window. All in all, it got the job done and we were able to walk to many great spots in Cincinnati.

I stayed here one night on a business trip and had a very pleasant experience. I arrived after sunset and used the valet because with ongoing street construction I couldn't easily see nearby parking and I was tired. The valet was a little uncertain about my intentions but once they realized I intended on parking and staying they gave me a ticket and took my rental. Entering I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk who quickly checked me in. I was informed it was a slow week due to the upcoming holiday and gave me a run of what was happening in the area. My room was on the 17th floor. The view was of a large garage and it mostly was dark with distant bridge lights. The room was fine. Yes, it is a bit dated having a worn feel and the room was dimly lit even with the side lamps. The room was a little oddly shaped but they made good use of the space putting a closet that had an early 2000's feel in the corner. The thick curtains managed to keep the room dark and since there appeared to be so few people on the floor I never heard anyone. I checked out the next morning and called ahead at the valet for my car. By the time I was downstairs the car was ready. Everyone was very friendly. It was a quick trip but also a nice one.

Traveling for work isn't always easy but this hotel makes it a little better. Clean room with large bathroom, great lighting and hot water! A/c works really well. (A must) There is a great little store in the lobby that sells ready made sandwiches and salads along with beverages that also makes a microwave available for use. It's open 24 hours so it's very convenient Staff is really helpful and front desk answers phone very quickly Amenities include fitness room, outdoor areas and restaurant. The room also has a safe and fridge Surrounding area feels safe and you can walk to great restaurants and the baseball stadium within minutes

I stayed here for a few days about a month ago and had a pleasant experience. This Hyatt is located right downtown, about a block away from fountain square, a brisk walk away from the baseball park and the art center. Needless to say, it's prime time. I loved that it was close enough to restaurants that I was able to grab dinner nearby. The hotel lobby was nice and included a small market with food and drink items for purchase, a full on restaurant, and the concierge. They also had valet right out front, although the service there wasn't the greatest. I called down several times both mornings and no one would answer. When I got to the lobby I was told they weren't sitting outside answering the phone because it was cold out. I get that it was cold but they should have a solution to this in the winter... something other than just not answering.. Maybe try the text service I've seen at a lot of other hotels. Anyhoo, my room itself was a little outdated but it was nice. I noticed a few things like baseboards peeling from the wall and phone and television wires were visible everywhere. That being said, the bed was comfy and the view wasn't too bad either. If I was needing a room in this area of Cincinnati I would consider staying again.

Flew into Cincy for a concert in northern Kentucky. Chose this hotel because I got points through my AMEX card. Booked in August for a stay in late November. Once we arrived, we were told the two queen beds room we booked was not available. They only had one king or queen bed available. After a lot of frustrated questions about this, we were offered vouchers to comp our breakfast. On weekdays breakfast ends at 10 and 24/7 marketplace only has breakfast sandwiches available on the weekends. The fresh fruit water in the lobby is refreshing, but wish they had bigger cups available. Room service is not an option at this hotel. Blankets were thin and no other ones were in the closet. Again, it's mid-November and pretty cold out. Would not stay here again. Not worth the points.

Hotel was clean and the staff was very hospitable. Much of the hotel has been remodeled and is modern. Rooms are okay but bathroom was updated and very nice. The Cincinnati connector and the bus line are easy to get to. Ride to Findlay market and over the Rhine is 5 to 10 minutes. Will stay here again.

How safe is it to walk to and from this hotel to the Cincinnati Arts Center at night? Should we take an uber/taxi? I would rather walk if we have no chance of wondering into a sketchy part of the city.

It's very safe. We walked to dinner then to a lounge nearby. I ubered once because it was raining.

How far walk is it to the Great American ball park? Is the surrounding area safe at night to walk back from the baseball game?

About a 5 minute walk. Two blocks down and about two blocks over.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.

I would have loved a view of the Cincinnati skyline, though. Well the vibe of the place is dark and there are warning signs about car break ins so I brought everything inside. The elevator was interesting but pretty small and the ride was shaky. When I got to the room it looked ok but definitely not that bright and welcoming. I was directed to oversized lot behind the property. Once I pulled into the lot I see a sign but many of the spaces also had old faded signs that said "No Parking". I parked next to one of my relatives two spaces away from on one of the signs. My brother in law also found a space on the opposite end of the row near one of the signs. We go up to our room and unload our stuff and the door to the bedroom just falls off after I close it. We call maintenance and after a couple hours they finally fix it. The AC at this place is on blast. Even if you turn off the thermostat it will still keep blowing. The TV's act as though they are stealing cable. Every 5 minutes the TV will blank out and sometimes power off or they will constantly say "No signal". There was a TV in the dinning area that was doing something similar. They had football games on from last season and you couldn't watch because it kept scrambling. The next day, I'm sitting next to my cousin on a trolly on our way to a museum and she gets a call that her truck had been towed that morning. This was the vehicle I parked next to. My vehicle had also been towed. I talked with security at the building that I discovered actually owned the parking lot and they informed me that I had parked in an unmarked loading dock. They also mentioned that they had sent someone over to the hotel to have us move the vehicles but because the hotel doesn't ask for license plates when they charge you for parking, there was no way to find us. For some reason they did ask us what state the vehicle was registered in. $180 and a $20 Uber. I asked to speak to a manager but he wasn't scheduled to come in until 4pm. At 4:30 I come down to talk and the desk attendant gives me the run around. She hands me the number of the building that actually owns the lot and says to call them. Apparently the manager must have been hiding in his office listening to the whole conversation. Right after that the he comes out and attempts to give me the same number. Then he refuses to discuss the matter with me. I then demand that he take the parking off my room since he refuses to take any ownership of the problem. He gets in front of the computer and says its been removed. After the exchange Brian one of the nicer desk clerks walked out and spoke with me in private to try to deescalate the situation. I appreciate his efforts. The condition of the property made sense after trying to speak with the manager. Later we learned that the actual over sized lot is further down an alley and not where the sign is (See pics). That night my wife and I are sitting at the bar and decide to order food. I ask the bar tender if we can charge the food to our room. We get our food and the bar tender also hands me the bill. I charge it to my room and probably spend another hour at the bar. I eventually go to my room and my cousin calls me and says that they charged them for my food. I come down to take care of the bill and the same bar tender I spoke with tells me she said yes but that the other bar tender spoke to me and told me they couldn't charge my room. The conversation with the other bar tender never happened. Later we learned that their system was down and that's why they couldn't charge rooms. The next morning I go to eat breakfast and its horrible. The omelet station's line is out into the seating area. I decide to just get some buffet items. There isn't enough utensils so all they had were forks. The staff kept running around gathering up the plates in order to quickly rewash the utensils. Its not the workers fault that management doesn't prepare for the volume of people booked for the property. Saturday afternoon we return back to our room and it hasn't been cleaned. We call down to the front desk and they say that they will send someone up but that never happened. My wife was not happy. On Sunday this circus was finally over. I check out and you guessed it. The parking was never taken off my bill. I tell the desk person the whole history of the towing incident and she eventually takes it off my bill. I checked my Hilton Honors points this morning and low and behold there's no record of this stay (3 rooms). This place is no good. Avoid at all costs!

Showers had decent water pressure and the room was pretty comfortable. Television offered plenty of things to watch including some movie channels. Forgot to lock my door and one night at around 3am, somebody entered our room!!! First time in my life I didn't lock my hotel room. Person who entered politely apologized for the mishap but it was unnerving. Remember: always double lock your hotel rooms. Breakfast buffet is typical Hampton Inn and does the job but isn't memorable. Although it looks worn out, bones of the building are good and rooms comfy. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Cincinnati for a Reds game. I chose this hotel over…read moreseveral other reasonably priced options because it had recently been renovated, and I'm glad we did. The biggest downside was the elevator situation. The same elevators serve the lobby and guest rooms, so there was often a wait, especially since they're fairly small. It took a couple of rounds before we could get on one with enough space. If you don't mind a short walk, there's a staircase in the back that can be a convenient alternative. The lobby is located on the second floor, and the staff was friendly and efficient. We were welcomed with complimentary bottled water and checked in quickly. Our room was lovely, modern, and impeccably clean. The only minor issue was that the room door was very tight and took quite a bit of effort to open, but it wasn't a major inconvenience. One experience that stood out was housekeeping knocking on our door around 10:50 a.m., even though checkout wasn't until 11:00 am. The housekeeper wasn't rude, but she did ask what time we were leaving, and we simply replied that we'd be checking out at 11:00 am, since that was the posted checkout time. It wasn't a huge issue, but it's not something I've experienced at other hotels, so it caught me a little off guard. Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-priced, and I'd definitely stay here again on a future trip to Cincinnati.

On the plus sign, valet, front desk, and all personnel are customer focused. Building was renovated in the past 10 years, and all details are lovely. Extremely clean. Rooms are large and very luxe. Room service was perfect in every way. So why not 5 stars? We love the rooftop bar and that played a huge roll in getting us here. But all three nights we were here it was closed for private events. I hope the events are making them a lot of money, because it can cut into their basic customer base. I will be checking to see if the rooftop is open before booking here in the future. One other small complaint...our room was never serviced until late afternoon when we needed to get ready for dinner. Turn down service (including chocolates) on first day only. That made me sad.

Complete attention to detail - even a shaving mirror built into the shower wall! The public areas are all special in their own way. The lobby area is in the new build area with soaring ceilings and beautiful fixtures. The rooftop restaurant (covered) and bar (outside) are thoughtful designed to ensure fun. The location is great. A little out of the way and yet close walking distance to everything. They also provide free limo service within 5 miles. Handy for any Over the Rhine excursions. The staff is excellent - from the valets to the chef. I wish I remembered the name of our waitress for Subito dinner on May 19. She was one of the best ever. This was a truly memorable celebration spot.
