Got to spend a night here because we got in so late while visiting the Dallas area. The hotel is in need of a little face lift and some new carpet throughout. The hallways smelled like the smoking floor when it is not. Not sure of what the smell was but a bad air freshener or something. While we were done on the check in floor a creepy guy came over to us from the concierge table right by the door when you come in. We said we might be looking for a late snack. He went as far as to recommend a strip club... WTF!!!??? Really???!!! What a creep, and to work for the hotel makes it worse.... What kind of place is this?? Come on... We said that we were just going to our room.... F-ing Creep....... He was that bad... What was this place thinking with this guy??? Needless to say our first impression was what a crappy hotel... Our room smelled old too. Kind of gross... The room was nice inside if the smell was not there. The bed was nice and the room seemed clean. The TV was ok with a few good choices. The prices are ok for being right at the airport, not sure if this place brings in riprap after the concierge suggestions. We stayed the night and were up early, there is a Starbucks in the front lobby on your way out. we got some coffee and were out of this place...... Maybe never to return, I would defiantly stay someone where else where they check the help... Even if it took a lot more time to get to... It would be worth it. read more

I was visiting for work and was put up in this hotel and I did not regret one bit of it. From the friendly staff to the outdoor pool, and multiple elevators (COVID friendly) I enjoyed almost everything they had to offer. And the buffet was to live for what an amazing experience having such great breakfast at a reasonable cost (fruit, eggs, etc) fresh and well worth the experience I would definitely come here again on my own, or with a partner. Saved a free night voucher to take my granddaughter here to swim in heated pool. She was visiting from out of state & bought a new swimsuit for the occasion. I called the day before checking in to verify the pool was heated & get the times it was open. The next day we checked in, went to room & changed & went to pool. The water was freezing cold & nobody was in it. Since that was the reason for our stay, we went back to the room to change & then checked out. Nobody at the front desk cared when I told them I was checking out 30 minutes after checking in. They just wanted to get us out of the lobby. This hotel is judged by the standards of the airport hotel inside the airport, but outside of the security perimeter, with room rates running above $300. Under these circumstances, it turns out to be OK, no more. On the good side, the airport shuttle service is reasonably efficient, the room was in good shape and clean, check-in was fast. However, neither the lobby and elevators, nor the hallways are in proper shape for the $300+ room charge, small details scream "fix me immediately!". Two paper cups per room to contain all the drinks you would like to have - from water to coffee. Are the guests expected to wash the disposable cups? The exhaust system in the bathroom is inadequate. The food options are seriously curtailed at 11PM and become non-existent at 1AM. Hyatt could afford a better interior designer - the shapes and colors of the things in the room seem mismatched (for example, the mattress is noticeably longer than the bed frame). read more

Fast and easy checkin. Friendly staff, however it's all started when I was trying to find my room. The room did not have a room number, just glue. Spent a good 30 min trying to find my room, lugging luggage around. Once I finally found it my bed blanket smelled, it's was dirty and when I lifted it against the light you could see how really dirty it was. read more

I am with American Airlines and I stayed here on 11-12-20. I left my cell phone in the lobby and was at the airport before I realized that I had left it in the hotel. Since time was very limited I had no time to run back to the hotel without delaying my flight. Two of your employees went above and beyond to return my phone to me Vasil and Doug were able to locate my phone and delivier it to me on the curb of the airport within 10 minutes. it was amazing! Not to be confused with the Grand Hyatt Regency, this is the Hyatt hotel located on the campus of DFW airport. It's obvious that it's an older place, but has been redecorated so cleverly disguised. It clearly hosts a ton of business clientele. I along with many others were there for interviews, but I also noticed there were several conferences hosted in the multiple event rooms on site during my stay. Fortunately, this hotel is expansive and did not seem crowded. Desk staff were courteous, and my room seemed a bit worn, but the bed was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately (like most city hotels), EVERYTHING is a la carte. Water bottles in room=$3 each, unless you're some sort of elite member. Room service=your dominant arm, liver plus your most intelligent child. Along with an included gratuity and tax! No discount store nearby (at least that they'll tell you about) unless you want to pay $5 for the shuttle to Grapevine. You could also take a ride service, but that will cost you. There is an on-site convenience store where I paid $3.99 for two bottles of Dasani water and seems to be the most affordable place for snacks/drinks. The restaurants inside the hotel are also priced accordingly (see my separate review re:Jacob's Grille). Overall average, it wouldn't be my pick but I admit the convenience factor is nice with close proximity to DFW. read more

Expensive, yet comfortable and conveniently located at the DFW airport. A short, 5 minute shuttle ride away from Terminal C. So close to the airport, that you could probably walk there, but with heavy luggage in tow, not likely the best option. We arrived past midnight for a one night layover stay. Jet lagged and tired, we were looking forward to a good night's sleep. Check-in was a breeze. We used the electronic kiosk near the front reception desk. Out came two hotel room keys and a receipt. We didn't even need to talk to anyone. Hyatt Regency provided a nice stay. We like the local art, well decorated lobby and room, the comfy queen sized bed, the hot shower, and the blackout curtains. We slept soundly and late into the next morning. Check-out was also quick and easy. We used the Hyatt phone app and received an email receipt. Nightly rates to stay here are not budget friendly at all, but I did like my stay overall. Convenience and luxury accommodation came with a price, no doubt about it. read more

I'm not sure where everyone is complaining about regarding the price. I got a hotel here last minute when I missed a layover in Dallas. My night was $169 (+tax). Maybe people are confusing it with the higher end Hyatt that actually has an entrance in the airport. My stay was great, the room was well kept. You can tell it was an older hotel but it was modified and updated but it was done well. Even though you have to take a shuttle to get here from C terminal, it was extremely quick since the hotel was technically in the airport. The ride itself was literally 2-3 minutes. Extremely convenient and a quality stay, you can't be that so 5 stars all the way! read more

Stayed here for work training. 3 days. Check in was smoothe and quick. Check out was equally smoothe and quick. Literally right on the airport. Hotel shuttle picked me up and was there even before I got comfortable in my seat. Normal check in time was 3pm but I was able to check in at 1130am. I stayed in room 1021. Facing the landing and runway. I love planes so I didn't mind the engine sounds all through the night/morning. It was actually calming. Something about just watching planes land and take off... Room was very clean. Water pressure was excellent but the drains were slow. I didn't hear next door neighbors. Only sounds I heard were door closing. I went to their sports bar for some wine and gift shop for some water. Fast and clean. I requested late check out. No hassle. Checking out was quick. Utilized the hote shuttle to get to the airport. This is a quintessential airport hotel. Stayed here after a flight cancellation and was glad I didn't shell out the extra cash for the Grand Hyatt across the street. Friendly staff, a large clean room and an overall nice hotel from the limited amount I saw during my stay. Ordered room service and it was prompt and surprisingly good (grilled chicken sandwich). Shuttle is also super fast and had no problems whatsoever with getting to or from my terminal. I travel a lot for work and stay in a lot of similar hotels, but my stay here was remarkable enough to make me want to write a review Hopefully I don't have my next flight out of DFW get cancelled, but if I do I know where I'll be staying. read more

I was there for a corporate event, and must say that each and every person that I met went "above and beyond" to help me. Example 1: I had to get my parking validated, and not sure where to do this... I asked the concierge about this. He took my ticket, said "I'll handle that for you, sir," pulled out the validation stamping thingy, POW, and that's it! He actually added, "Now this is good for only 16 hours, so if you need to be here for longer than that (comedic pause) GET A ROOM!" EXAMPLE 2: I needed a quiet place to work on my laptop for a few hours, and another hotel guy walked me to a closed restaurent, showed me where I can sit -- by an electrical outlet -- and asked if there were anything else that I might need. WOW! Great service, great attitudes. And when our group dinner kicked off with a 'Texas Theme' it was one of the best all-around managed events that I've ever attended. Bravo, Hyatt Regency DFW!! I stayed at the Hyatt at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport for a few days during the week for a work seminar. Even though there was a long line to check in (I didn't read the tips on the check in kiosk!) the line moved pretty quickly. Inside the hotel there is a restaurant that gives you the choice of single dishes (which are a little pricy) or the buffet for $15.99. There is also a bar which has a very small bar top but a ton if tables in the bar area to sit at. I spent most of my time here but drinks were rather pricy at almost $10 each. Yikes! There is also a small store for snacks and sometimes a little burger/hot dog/pizza stand next to that. The rooms are big and comfortable. Mine was a single king which was super comfy and spacious. I had some trouble keeping the room at the right temperature and trying to get rid of the humidity but the air ended up running all the time anyways which was OK with me because unlike other hotels, the air conditioning is super quiet. Yay! For our seminar we used their conference room downstairs which was really pretty and had no problem fitting hundreds of people plus tables and chairs inside. They also served us lunch in what looked like the basement (it was on the bottom floor) that stayed super cold and was semi uncomfortable but served its purpose. I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again if I go to Dallas again next year. The only thing that sucked was that we had to stay in the hotel or take an expensive cab ride because nothing was in walking distance but it was nice not having to drive to get back to the airport. read more

Interesting struggles these days. I understand with pandemic employers and all are struggling but to use that as a standardized foundation to fall back on when service falls short is not good. 1. At DFW call for a shuttle (phone rings 8 times), then picked up to only place you on hold for another 5+ minutes. 2. DFW courtesy pick area is in great need of clean up and is so far out the walk is not short. 3. Driver shows up to pick me up, never bothers to get up off his driver seat to assist with luggage. 4. Arrive at Hyatt Regency, again driver never gets up to assist with luggage. 5. Check in, " I'm ask how was my day". I responded with fine until I arrived here, explained my call into hotel for pick up and driver situation. 6. He then asked if I was headed to bar, I said, no. Well let me know if I can get you a bottle of water to make up for it. Lucky thing I already had a bottle of water with me. 7. Get to room, bedroom TV antenna connection not working, no coffee creamer, no bottle waters (I guess globalist status means nothing these days. read more

Here for a two day class down in the basement area, it has been updated in the last ten years and has a good representation of Texas landmarks, I like how they have different influential people from Texas such as Michael Dell, the El Fenix family, etc. the Hyatt has a first class staff, the catered breakfast and lunch were spot on, good choice of meats, salads and soup. Each of the breaks included while fruit, cookies and chips. Good event ! read more

This is located at Terminal C... and it's not the Hyatt Grand at Terminal E Location is great for the airport.... I woke up got ready and i'm already at the airport... They also have courtesy shuttles to and from the airport terminals... The bathroom looks upgraded and courtesy shampoo and conditioner is not too bad... see my pictures Service was point on... no HD channels... but that's most hotel these days... The sheets were low thread count so it's not too soft... I had the king size bed and the A/C on all night... texas is hot.. 4 stars for the business center downstairs to print and make copies 3 stars for the hotel room 4 stars for the staff 3 stars for no wifi in the room, but they had wifi in the lobby... for a grand total of 3.5 stars... read more

I just stayed at this hotel from April 3rd - 11th. I got a pretty good deal on the hotel as well as my flight that is why I chose Hyatt. I would say if you are staying here on business or for 1-2 nights it's a good place to be, however if you come to visit Texas for a week or so I would stay somewhere else. Because the hotel is at the airport you obviously will not get a great view from your hotel window, and though some people write that they could not hear any outside noise when in their room in my case I did hear some noise which I did get used to as the days passed. The room is not very big but I will say that the beds are REALLY comfortable which is a huge plus. There is also FREE parking and they do validate your ticket at the front desk so make sure to do that before leaving the airport to save the $22. Now the biggest negative for me would be getting to the hotel. I mean I read reviews about people having a hard time but man did I have a hard time imagining myself driving in a circle for an hour trying to get to a hotel that is literally in front of me. So for those of you who will be staying here PLEASE READ THIS TO SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF TIME AND A HUGE HEADACHE. When driving from the car rental place your GPS will tell you to get on a service road, if you are on a service road you will make the same mistake I did, there is no entrance into the hotel from a service road unless you are an employee. As you drive you will see tolls ahead don't be afraid to go through them there is no other way to get to the Hotel unless you go through the toll and again they will validate your ticket when your leaving !! I also want to say that me and my boyfriend where so lost, we called the hotel to see if anyone can direct us but the person who picked up was SUPER rude and no matter how hard I tried to explain where I was she kept saying to get off on terminal C, it wasn't until we stopped and asked someone on the side of the road how to get to the hotel that he advised us to get off the service road. On another note, breakfast here was around $36 for 2 people, we ate breakfast at the hotel once and decided it wasn't worth it for us, so we drove every morning to eat somewhere else ( about 15 minutes away there are a lot of places you can eat ). Overall my experience at this Hyatt was okay, I would stay here again if I was just passing through for one night, otherwise I would stay closer to the city. read more

Nice hotel, big plus that you can grab the hotel shuttle and get there in a couple of minutes. Extremely friendly staff, and a choice of a sit down restaurant or cafe to takes items "to go" to your room. They have a couple of water dispensers in the lobby, and the water had cucumbers in it my first day and sliced oranges in it the second day. Room was clean, but had a worn-down feel to it. I was on business so I didn't have to pay out of pocket, but it wasn't inexpensive to stay here. Standard amenities in the room, and the walls were better than in some hotels, it was nice and quiet in the room, wasn't bothered by noise in the hallway or surrounding rooms. read more

Very poor service at this hotel. Our flight landed at midnight. However I called ahead to make sure I could get a shuttle. I confirmed a suite on the 12th floor and a roll away bed knowing we'd be landing so late. I waited at the airport pickup in 95+ degree heat with 99% humidity for 45 mins. I called repeatedly and was told to be patient. We were a sweaty tired mess when the shuttle finally showed up. Got to the room, 8th floor and no roll away bed. Got to bed at 1:30 am after dealing with Hyatt. I saw every shuttle but the Hyatt's. Even the cheapy hotel shuttles came multiple times before our shuttle showed up. Save your money, stay anywhere but here if you need a shuttle or anything additional to a basic room. read more

Stayed at this hotel for four nights. Five stars because they let us check in early, provided afternoon snacks, provided the Wall Street Journal, and the room had a TV with all the cable channels. However, this hotel is old and it shows. While the lobby area is nice, the hallways smell old. The beds are lumpy. Shower pressure and temperature is random. Even the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. I was part of a large group staying at the hotel to play bridge. The remaining guests were primarily American Airlines employees. You are almost captive in this hotel without a car. The Grapevine bus stops each hour if you need a small reprieve and costs $5 per person. read more

Stayed here due to missed flight. They hotel was full but they were able to find us a room. Our room was spacious and modern looking, Comfy soft beds. The hotel gave us overnight care package (toothbrush, deodorant, comb, etc) The rooms had shampoo and conditioner, lotion. FYI, if you try to leave the airport to get food and come back, be prepared to pay a big fee, I think it was like $25 just to leave the airport! They have a couple restaurants in the hotel, but looking for food in the wee hours, there is a small place downstairs that had hard boiled eggs, croissants, yogurt. It was VERY expensive and not that fresh. They have driving service to and from the airport which is only 5 minutes away. Very convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, which was appreciated after being on a plane for 14 hours! Would definitely come again if I was in the area! read more

My original experience was blah and my review was not nice. But after several visits, we figured out how to walk to this hotel from C19 or C21. Then we found Mr. G's sushi restautant hidden in a corner off the lobby and love it. No more restaurant noise and due to our frequent use the room rates are reasonable. read more

Besides the really bad pillows that collapse like cotton candy, the hotel room was very nice. We upgraded to a suite which had the partition between rooms. Guest services was a little slow with the turn around for extra pillows and towels but the hotel staff was really nice, as to be expected with Hyatt regency. read more

The lobby is nice but the rooms are dated the shower area seems to be be only upgrade to the room. Carpet could been cleaned the beds headboard was stained and damaged. Worst of all as I was resting in bed a critter flew in the bed next to me. I have. I idea what type of bug that was so I called the front desk to send the manager up to see this bug. The housekeeping manager arrived with a spray bottle and told be that the bug was a grasshopper and she took it and left. No apology or can I change your room or I'm sorry you found this let us take care of your next visit. Just some common cyst service would of been nice. Especially at 1130p. Stayed here due to a conference. Expected bland but was surprised. Easy to get to - shuttle runs regularly. Like treats at the front desk - sugar cookies or chocolate bark. Front desk staff pleasant. Room was nice and bed comfy. Shower is a half glass door - needs some work as floor gets too wet and slippery. Lobby bar has nice tall comfy seats but closed too early (midnight). No safes in room but safe deposit boxes available and easily accessible through front desk. From a conference POV - worked out really well. We had a conference of about 700. Able to use all meeting rooms as no other major event there at the time. Movement between rooms and use of rooms worked really well. FEDEX office has a great team working there and is centrally located. Food was good - nothing fancy but tasty, well seasoned, nice veggie offerings and good service. Hotel staff did a good job. Blood is spilling from my finger. This is my fault. Let's go back a few hours. If you've lived in bars for your life, you see problems coming in your periphery like a cornerback sees a Hail Mary. I'm in a high-dollar bar at the Dallas airport. No doucehbags, here, you'd guess. That's why odds-makers set a line. I've flown from Tucson to Dallas. I've been drunk to drunk again. I'm wearing a fabulous suit. I took a nap. I go back down for another drink ad some cheesecake. Here is where i find the meathead. He is on the other side of the horseshoe bar. He is talking *shoot* about football, the world, the quality of service as well as his own service in Iraq, etc. He is looking for another war altogether. You know the guy. He wants a fight. At some point he makes eye-contact with me and I can see that he finds me an easy target. I contend he will take his time finding a reason. I write a note to the bartender "Jodie" that there will soon be a problem with the guy with the "Bourbon" t-shirt. I tell her that I will stay there until he is gone. Then I go outside for a cigarette but when I come back, his eyes are all over me. I dont make eye-contact but I hear him talking to me. I ignore him. He has ordered food but now tells his wife-lady that he doesn't want the food. He leaves the wife and moves to the barstool next to me, leaning into me as if to start a brawl. "Where you from?" "This bar." I say it like I run the place. "You think you're all that?" I say "Are you staying in the hotel? Or would you like to be staying elsewhere? Do you want me to *call* security or would you like me to *be* security?" I'm going full "Chad Shank" without the guns to back it. But I have the confidence that he is drunker than me, At this point, this idiot's food comes, to go. His lady as well as *Jodie" are begging him off. He makes one more last call of calling me a dick, hoping I bite and fight him. The idiot leaves, I make a big point to the bartender that I'd warned her ahead of time. I knew he'd be a problem.I wrote a note for heck sake. The hotel manager, Tyler, comes and knocks at my door after hearing the story from Jodie. I tell him it was no big deal. I just want everyone involved to know that it wasn't Jodie's fault and there was nothing a problem other than that douche being threatening. **** Cut to... The bar manager Tyler comes to my room. I tell this story. He apologizes and ask me if i want this or that to placate me. I tell him that it is not his fault nor any fault of is staff. I settle for a Manhattan,a drink his staff is perfect at making. Also, a reason to go back to the bar. I order my drink at the bar. Someone yells "Stanhope?" In a panic. I spin around. In doing so, I knock a stack of clean glasses off of the bar. They shatter. Somehow that cuts my pinkie. That is why my finger is bleeding. The staff was great. Facilities themselves are gorgeous. Meeting spaces are comfortable, adequate lighting and sound equipment for large-scale productions and speeches. Rooms however, appeared nice in the beginning but slowly unraveled. My bathroom door did not stay shut and the shower had issues with drainage. Friends also noted that their shower water would pool by their feet and appeared blue in color rather than colorless? Wifi was also a little slow all around, and many of my coworkers had connectivity difficulties for webinars. On the bright side though, their front desk cookies were amazing and meeting refreshments included La Croix, bagels, soft pretzel bar, and a trail mix bar. read more

The best part of airport hotels is that they're airport hotels. When you have an early morning flight you can catch a few more minutes of sleep and have someone drive you to the terminal, a scant few moments away. Other than that, I have a hard time justifying the price I pay for an otherwise fairly ordinary hotel. Hyatt Regency, near the B/C terminals, is an okay hotel. It's nicely appointed, has great front desk staff (at least in the evenings), and a bar that's willing to let you grab a drink to go if you arrive just before closing time. The rooms are quiet, despite being right on the airport property, and there's all the amenities. The wi-fi worked fine, but the tv reception not so much. Early in the morning, neither the wi-fi nor the tv were working. If you're a Hyatt member, you won't be disappointed with this place, everything about it is typical with the mid-level Hyatt brand.
