I stayed here for one night because my company put us up for a room if we wanted to stay. Of course I took that chance, especially since I live in Maryland and this was also my first time at Reston Town Center. The location is awesome. Traffic on the way is a horrendous issue, but that's true for any place in the DMV. The hotel is super easy to find and parking is convenient in a garage attached right to it so there's no real need to do valet parking. I assume the hotel is not very old; I figured it was built when the town center started really developing. The interior/lobby is gorgeous. Sure, it's a major chain hotel but it's very spacious and has a luxurious feel. There's a convenient back entrance/exit that leads out to the actual town center (restaurants, ice skating), which was great since I had to run from McCormick and Schmick's to my room to get my phone charger! There's also a Panera right in the hotel (thank you, Lord!) which is super-convenient. Though given the popularity of Panera, there are very few employees. It took my coworker 25 minutes to order and receive her food (two breakfast half-sandwiches!). I was on the "quiet floor," (6th floor) according to the guy who checked me in. My room was huge! At least, it was bigger than I thought it would be, with plenty of room between the bed, TV, desk, and armchair. I really liked the two huge mirrors that were on the walls. I was also thankful for the ample bathroom counter space. I always bring so many toiletries/products (I have the skin of an over stressed 14 year old) so it was nice to have room left over. The bathroom is pretty nice overall. The bed was comfortable, or maybe I was just so exhausted (probably), because I fell asleep immediately. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. I'm sure me being totally tired only made my stay feel better but it was overall very clean and quiet. Would totally stay here again, given the chance, though I don't see myself driving all the way out to Reston any time soon! read more

I am speechless by how incredible the Hyatt Regency Reston Hotel is. I just stayed here for 11 days and couldn't be more pleased. The customer service is impeccable and the hotel is beautiful. First off, if peace and quiet are important to you, this is your hotel of choice. It's hard to find a hotel with such quiet, pleasant, and respectful guests. You will get a good night's sleep in these comfortable beds and be able to adjust your room temperature. This hotel has been an oasis for me. I called down to the front desk for a favor and they went above and beyond for me. I feel appreciated as a guest. They also have their fitness center open and I was able to get some workouts in. That was thoughtful because exercise is very important. The hotel has its own nice restaurant, and is also located at Reston Town Center with plenty of shopping and dining possibilities. Also nice for a stroll. The employees who work at this hotel have advanced customer service skills. The hotel is clean, well-appointed, and has hand sanitizers installed throughout. You definitely get what you pay for here, as this is a richly designed hotel and very well thought-out. From the coffee maker to the alarm radio to the hair dryer, all your needs will be covered. There is a fridge inside the room as well. The bathroom is nice, with a strong shower head and plenty of ledge room in the tub to place your shower supplies. The toiletries provided are high end and great quality, including soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and shower gel. If you want luxury, look no further! Checked in and they told me the hotel was overbooked. My room was no longer available, I can either have a roll-way bed, nothing, or I can look for another hotel and I guess they would waive the cancellation fee!!!! A reservation is not a guarantee - this is what the check in desk told me. They were not friendly to be at all, but did offer breakfast (but I already paid) or free parking (I doh't have a car). I can try to get moved to the room I booked (i.e. a normal bed, not a roll away!) tomorrow. They seemed to imply it was my mistake for not calling to say I would be late ( after midnight), expect I did the day before. I know stuff happens, but the lack of empathy for THEIR mess up and zero actual expression of 'sorry' makes me sure to never stay here again. read more

Great location right on the middle of the Reston Town Center facing the ice skating rink. The rooms are clean and spacious even when you get the standard room, which is a real plus. My only complaint is that the shower didn't have a lip on the floor, so the water was able to invade the bathroom floor and make a bit of a mess. Of note, we blocked the toilet (don't ask), and called down to reception about it at like 4am. Not 5 minutes later someone showed up with a plunger and fixed the problem without judgment! lol. There was also an issue with their parking lot being full which was very annoying and we had to park in the regular parking garage which isn't far, but I would rather have avoided that considering parking is included. read more

The bad: Gym's water cooler was broken. They offered to sell you water, but overall, i found this very inefficient. Gym was standard, mostly cardio equipment. However, got the job done, just to keep yourself right during vacation. Room service was lacking. Not a lot of options. It is universally understood that no one gets a good deal on room service, but I found the prices reasonable. However, food option was lacking. As some other people said, Panera is on site. Now, if Panera could deliver - woo hoo! I found a piece of Chex under the chair in the room. It was not mine. That Chex piece stayed there for a few days. Hopefully, they cleaned it by now. The good: Clean lobby. Staff was helpful with helping with questions, bringing extra things to the room. The nearby shopping center had a lo of shopping and restaurants, if that is your thing. There are robes in the room, not the most luxurious, but comfy enough. I found the rooms quiet. There was some voice echos in the halls, but overall, once in bed, I could not hear anything and i slept like a baby. I hesitate to put this in the good or bad section, but while there are lots of bars/restaurants in the area, no real place to go to have fun/let loose, other than a bar in the restaurant. Maybe a few novelty/karaoke/dueling piano bars may serve the area good. read more

We were here for our anniversary celebration because we had met in Reston. I booked this as a surprise for my husband. I indicated it was our anniversary as well. I made some requests from the E-Concierge and the reservation for brunch with my family at Tavern 64 was not done or it was a mistake by the restaurant, I wasn't sure but I wasn't in the mood to argue because I wanted to have a great weekend. The housekeeping staff spoke very little if no English at all and did not understand Towel or Coffee. We requested additional pillows and this was not fulfilled as well. But again we were here to celebrate and did not really want to spend time arguing or be frustrated. I nicked my finger at the glass sliding shower door and asked for a bandaid, it wasn't a serious cut, asked for the door to be fixed to avoid any injury, and it was ignored. No apologies nothing. The hotel should be thankful it was a nick and not a deep cut! They also had a pageant during the weekend we were there. Typically this is fine but we were here to celebrate our anniversary and has asked for quiet nice suite. But we heard kids running down the hall way and doors slamming all night long. Overall the hotel is stunning but will I stay here again? Likely not. The view from our suite was stunning. Oh well. Disappointed with the hotel yes. Over rated yes. But again we are here for our anniversary and we were happy to be in the town where it all started for us! read more

Great stay. My room was clean and check in was a breeze! I really liked the Panera in the lobby. It was great to be able to get a coffee and breakfast and hit the road without any other stops. Parking is about $16-$20. I wish it was a little cheaper. I don't have any complaints about my stay. read more

Showed up to check in to a booked room, only to be greeted with the dreaded "it looks like we are oversold, and your reservation has been cancelled. No rooms are available." If they charge me for a cancellation, I'll be even more livid. Reading through other reviews, it seems this happens often. Does my standing as a Hyatt Gold member count for anything? I guess not. What an awesome hotel!!!! From the moment I pulled up in the front to unload my car until the minute I left 6 days later! I was in town last September 2016 for a conference. Check in was quick and friendly. Bell service was quick and easy. There was no waiting for an elevator as there are 6. Down side is that if you are in a room at the other end of the hall you do have a hike. I love that all conference rooms are all on the same floor and kept close together so you don't have to search all over for your next meeting room. The staff in the conference rooms was helpful and respectful. One night we had to have a last minute meeting and the gentlemen stacking chairs were as quiet as possible until we finished. the servers during our lunch were friendly and helpful. when I mentioned I did not want a slice of cheesecake (not a fan of plain cheesecake) i was offered sorbet that was very yummy! The rooms are very spacious with comfortable bedding and towels. House keeping did a good job every day of straightening up my room. My only wish was that they would have dumped my melted ice bucket and given me a new, clean bag instead of letting it sit for a few days. The lobby was very spacious with seating to chat or watch a game. There is a Panera if you want a quick bite and a restaurant (Tavern 64) if you want to sit down and have a little of a longer lunch or dinner. You can also find a shoe shine station (don't see those around much now a days), a gift shop and a few stores. Right out the back door of the hotel you will find Reston Town Cener. Wow!!! There are so many stores and places to eat. Some of the sit down restaurant I tried were Uncle Julio's, Clydesdale and Big Bowl. There are also quick places like Chipotle and Subway. And for dessert there are a couple of cupcake places to visit. And at the other end you will find a small park and a CVS for any of those little things you might have forgotten. read more

Just came back from a work trip after staying at the Hyatt. This was the second time that I've been to this hotel. Pretty clean, check in check out was easy.. they even have a mobile key card if you download the app.. bar/lounge on the premises is also quite good. The buffalo cauliflower app is all sorts of wonderful! Didn't appreciate the extra 20 something dollar charge in fees a day after I checked out. I didn't purchase anything inside the room, I feel like these fees should be a bit more transparent when booking the room initially. Otherwise and overall a good stay. read more

Ok, I stayed here for over six months. I'm not proud, but it's nonetheless true. I wonder if staying at a hotel for months would likely embitter a reviewer or endear him. I'm not sure; please judge for yourself. Just keep in mind that my experience isn't the same as a regular guest. Oh my. Why should I pay for internet service that doesn't work in every room? It does seem to work well in the lobby...shouldn't it work everywhere in the rooms as well? Frankly, I don't really PAY for the service, but it's still so wrong. The gym costs 5 bucks/visit and it doesn't seem worth it. Once again, I'm not paying, but it still seems so wrong. Should a full-service hotel nickel and dime you to death? It's just more crap for me to put on my expense report. Ok, it's not all bad. Food's ok in here. Proximity to Reston Town Center makes it more attractive. Lobby's pretty. My gf liked it. Well, my coworkers and I agree that after months of staying there, we were still completely unrecognized by most of the staff. This is due, in part, to the complete turnover of the staff. Promptly after this happened, my reservation was screwed up 3 times. And not only at the Reston location, but at the one in New Jersey as well. Is it so wrong for us to expect that after months of staying there, we might be asked personally what would make our stays easier? Perhaps we could have our long-term stuff placed in our rooms before we arrived. Free valet parking, perhaps? Perhaps they could have our laundry done at a discount. Perhaps. It only takes two or three weeks for someone to notice you're LIVING at the hotel - wouldn't some acknowledgment have been in order? Meh. We're staying somewhere else now. I want to rate the Hyatt Regency Reston better than one star, because the rooms and the facility were really quite immaculate and enjoyable. However, the service at the front desk was terrible, to the point of embarassing. The staff didn't seem to know the answer to any of the normal questions a guest would ask, and they had to get clarification from the management (behind some door) whenever we asked really simple questions about the area attractions. To top it off, I provided my Hyatt Gold Passport number at checkin and was told I would receive points and a stay credit for my stay. However, at checkout, the folio indicated no stay credit/points would be awarded. When I asked why, the desk agent said my rate didn't qualify. I was never told about this at checkin. When I asked to speak with a manager, the agent went in the back and returned saying the manager didn't want to discuss it, and her decision was final. I politely left the hotel and call Hyatt Gold Passport, who then called the hotel, and the female manager said she personally had checked me in and told me I would not receive a stay credit. This was obviously a lie, since the person who checked me in was a man. I was shocked that the manager would falsify this information, and I suppose I was curious why, if she had checked me in, she would have even taken my Gold Passport number if the rate didn't qualify. I consider the Reston Hyatt to be a safe bet when staying in Northern VA. It has the expected amenities, a bar, comfortable rooms, an accommodating conference center. Do not use their "Hyatt Has It" program. Per their guest services book if you forget something, in my case a toothbrush, they will deliver it to your room and hang it on your doorknob. However, last night I requested same and following a knock on my door the hotel employee proceeded to attempt to barge into my room. I was in the shower at the time. Fortunately I had the latch thrown on door chain so he did not gain entry. I asked his name (Jorge) and then called and asked for the MOD (Kyle) - I explained the situation and he replied "did I specifically tell the front desk I wanted my toothbrush placed in a bag and left on my doorknob" - I replied no - and proceeded to read him the paragraph from the guest services book. No apology ever. This morning I called and asked for the General Manager and Kyle came to the phone, which I decided not to speak to. I found a welcome to the conference letter in my room that states that the GM's name is David. Anyway, nice room and liked the room service, but next time I will not forget my toothbrush. And will think long and hard about staying here again. read more

Conference and event planners take note - courteous, savvy and proactive staff make working a conference at the Hyatt Regency Reston a pleasure. Best service at a hotel I've had in years. My strange situation: I was doing multiple appearances at a medical symposium over a two-day period, staying one night, checking out and then returning that second night to do a show, They made things very easy, from the valet and self-parking choices, to quick meals nearby (there's a Panera INSIDE the hotel, for heaven's sake!).to storing equipment until needed. I had not been here in a few years and the Hyatt Regency Reston has upgraded itself in every way, from the décor to the service. I was amazed when the front desk clerk told me they will be renovating next year! Conference services are top notch. Their A/V staff is very good and the banquet staff is marvelous. My second night, I worked the banquet, and watched them rearrange the dance floor quickly to accommodate the group's needs. First banquet in at least ten years that actually served a plated dinner ON TIME and perfectly - bravo! Break out sessions had plenty of water, candy, pads, pens - never had to hunt for anything and there was always a staffer nearby to help. And this may mean little outside of Washington, DC, but one of the conference attendees had Secret Service protection and the hotel flexed easily. Their whole attitude is "no problem, we'll take care of it." These days that is very refreshing. I can't wait to return and you bet I'll be recommending them to my conference and event planners! read more

We have stayed here numerous times and really enjoy this hotel. The first time we stayed in one of the pent house suites with a wedding party so you really can't have any complaints, except the staff did come and ask us to turn the music down, it was around 2pm...they knew we were the wedding party getting ready for a wedding so that was just poor customer service. Stayed again for one night this past weekend. The room was nice, 634, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was ok, a little dated. We had everything we needed. The best thing about this hotel is the location, we went to a rehearsal dinner on Friday night in the town center and it was so nice to be able to enjoy several bars then just walk back to the hotel. Love having the Panera on the main floor too. There is so much to do in the town center, there are a dozen restaurants, lots of great shopping and during the summer they have musical events on the weekends. If we return to the area for an event we would definitely stay here again. They offer a free shuttle to/from the airport which is awesome. Valet parking but if you drive just a mere two blocks you can park your car somewhere for free, overnight too, in one of the 4-5 large parking garages. read more

Stayed here for seven days while attending a conference. The conference facility was great but I can not recommend this hotel. During my entire stay my room was only serviced once. After three days of non service I decided to wait and see if it will ever be serviced. It was serviced once as I recall on day four. I mentioned this during checkout and the response I got was did I request no service for a discount in the restaurant which I was never offered. I submitted a review in response to a Hyatt email after checkout and was later contacted by a local Hyatt manager who explained that somehow my room was marked as service every three days. I never requested and even if this was the case, it was only serviced once in seven days. I would not recommend this hotel. read more

Here is a list of things I don't expect for $200 plus a night: (my employer is paying, but still) 1. No mini-bar. Really? I got in at 2am with no dinner. I understand if room service is closed but no mini-bar??? Is this motel 6? 2. No outlets. Really? Nothing even remotely near the nightstand or the bed. Without having to unplug lamps I found two outlets. With computers, phones, iPads for two of us we were out of luck. 3. A crappy shower control. It's difficult to explain this, but the temp control only rotates 90 degrees. So a slight turn really changes the temp. That basically means you start off in a shower that's too hot and you move the control a tiny bit and it's freezing. You try to move it the tiniest bit back and it's scalding. Not sure what this is called but it sucks. 4. A really tiny bathroom, difficult for two to share. That being said, the location can't be beat. The breakfast buffet was good and the service was outstanding. The happy hour drinks are strong and great service in the bar. The rooms are clean. Next time I'll stay at another hotel in this Reston area. I just expect better for the price. read more

Elvie was the host would checked me in. She was very nice and helpful. The hotel is big. Nice bar/lounge area and it's close to tons of shops and places to eat. Taxis always out front and Uber takes seconds. The hotel room is a little dated but it's clean and the bed is comfy. They give you comp bottled waters and the TV is new. You can hook up your fire stick and the Wi-Fi is decent.the reason for the one star deduction is because of the gym. The website boasts state of the art gym. Either the website needs to be updated or the gym does because that equipment is anything but state of the art. (Maybe 20 years ago) was bummed walking in there to no spin bikes and the weights were crowded and the space was pretty small. we stayed here for a wedding. For giving the hotel business with lots of rooms and the wedding itself, the rooms are kind of expensive I think. maybe that is just standard! Even the bride mentioned on their website to check kayak.com for cheaper deals. I ended up booking on hotels.com which was $99, no idea how much the hotel is normally. I liked that the reception hall was available till 2am, Normally the reception ends at 12am from the ones I went to. We had some party crashers and they got security to come help to keep the people away so that was nice. Overall my experience here was just okay. read more

I'm writing this review on behalf of my colleagues who unfortunately stayed here over the past weekend for a conference. I reserved 3 rooms- one room for my two female colleagues with double beds, one room for a male student with 1 bed, and one room for THREE female students with double beds. Upon arrival, they were given their keys and it was not discovered until they had arrived to their rooms that EVERYONE received ONE bed. Instead of remedying the situation and upgrading or suggesting another hotel, they were given the run around by a "customer service" rep and they finally just gave up (having traveled across the country, they were a bit tired). My colleagues had to SHARE a bed, and the 3 female students had to trade off being in a bed and a cot. I'd say unacceptable for the inflated $119/night!! They had confirmation numbers for their rooms with the appropriate accommodations- otherwise, what is the point of a confirmation number? Just that you have a room but it's a gamble if you'll have to share a bed or not? We are consulting with the conference host and will be suggesting they no longer block rooms at this hotel. While the location in Reston Town Center is great, this hotel has lost my business and I used to stay here frequently. $10 per day parking for hotel guests is a turn off and not necessary as all other parking near by is free. Lots of nickel and diming & no free coffee in the morning - different from my last stay. Front desk needs an attitude change - inattentive, the worst check in experience I have had in years at a hotel anywhere (and I travel a good deal). I had requested on the reservation form and at check-in a corner room but was initially given something very different. I had to argue and was given another room on another floor that was, yup, not a corner room (even though they claimed otherwise). I complained later and was given a shrug. Great attitude! Even though my stay was over a summer weekend and the hotel was not even one-third full! Rooms and hallways are dark and dingy even though there was supposedly an overall upgrade of the property. As a past guest, in my opinion this location has gone down in attitude, amenities and appearance. Unfortunately, there are no other options directly in town center which is convenient for meetings and restaurants. I will stay at the Westin (1 mile away) next time in Reston. The hotel restaurant recently changed its menu but it still needs work. Waiters were clueless and food was only average (and few customers!). Better to walk to one of the restaurants nearby such as Passion Fish or Clydes which offer far superior food and professional service. read more

If I am going to spend the extra money to stay at a full service hotel rather than at a tourist class property the outcome has to dazzle. For the most part, the staff, amenities, room condition, cleanliness, and overall look of this Hyatt property works for me. The staff was pleasant all around (from front, to bell, to concierge, to housekeeping, to banquets). The only criticism is that the kiosks are not set up well. If you want to do express check in or out, you need your confirmation number. Why can't it just link to my Hyatt number of credit card? I am not going to fumble around my bag a seek out yet another 15 character code. Also, the business center is FAR too expensive and the self print boarding pass kiosk (There is only one. Since becoming a Hyatt loyalist, I can honestly say that I have no regrets. I came to this hotel booking with points, and I was treated with so much kindness and welcoming. Elvia checked me in and informed me that I had been upgraded to a suite. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the double doors. This was to be a staycation (I live nearby) for me and my best girlfriend who was visiting from out of town. The suite living room was incredible, so clean and polished - impeccable- with amazing views of Reston. The beds were comfortable, too. Elvia even called the room to remind me that I had Club Lounge access on the 15th floor. My friend and I enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres and a drink and were about to head out for dinner. Jayne, who was hosting the Lounge, stopped us and insisted on calling our restaurant ahead to let them know we were arriving earlier than planned. We thanked her graciously. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were treated like VIPs and they sat us in a lovely booth and even treated us to a sushi plate on the House. Wow. THANK YOU, JAYNE MAPLE!! You truly went above and beyond. I've had some excellent experiences at Hyatt properties but this is surely unforgettable. The front desk staff were friendly, lounge staff, valet and even the bellman were so kind. Bravo, Hyatt Regency Reston. You have certainly raised the bar. I can't wait to come back. read more

Apart from the air conditioning being oh so loud, I got used to it by the second night and it hummed me to sleep. What I did like was the service at the hotel. We had a meeting there and the staff was amazing! They really know how to take care of you. The halibut on the dinner menu was amazing even though it was one of the biggest pieces of fish I have had in a while. Rooms are pretty big, you have to pay $5 for the exercise room - I don't think so, and if you want to get free WiFi, loiter outside of the Panera in the hotel lobby. read more

I think we grossly underestimate the number of times people go up and down in elevators when staying at hotels. We were on the eighth floor. If I wasn't with someone with walking issues I would have used the stairs. Our first trip up we waited 20 minutes in a large crowd. Going back down was 25 ONLY after one came down full, and we asked the people in it to send it back up to the eighth floor for us and we rode it back up first. Otherwise it would have been longer, because around this time we noticed only one elevator seemed to be showing up! After the family meet and greet we wanted to freshen up for dinner, and made the mistake of going back up. When we get to the eighth floor we wanted some soda, but vending was back on the third floor.....ugh...so we order room service. BIG pricey mistake.....did I mention pricey?????? Finally at about 930 we noticed signs that we could use the service elevator. Except with my partners limited mobility it was all the way down the other end of the hotel. We complained at least three times only to get "yes ma'am" and "I'm sorry ma'am". That and the bar in the lobby is deafening. We did have the tavern for breakfast where we had decent (not great) food and a very kind attentive server. But the only positive thing I can say about the hotel itself is it was clean....... read more

This place is great - even though I live in the area now, I stayed here a couple of times on business. The rooms are clean and provide a great view of Reston town center and the surrounding area. Rooms are clean, spacious, and the decor is up to date. There are also several conference rooms on the ground level that are often used for various conventions, etc. As mentioned, this hotel is in the Reston town center, so there is a plethora of restaurants, bars, and other activities within a 5 minute walk. During Christmas they have ginger bread and model train displays in the spacious lobby. There is also a full bar in the lobby. read more

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Reston on a recent business trip. If you're visiting on of the offices in the 'Reston Town Center' area, there's absolutely no excuse not to stay here. Because i enjoy lists (and really who doesn't), let me count the reasons why 1. It's far cheaper than it should be for the size room you get. I know it's not prime location, but the amenities are quite nice, and my normal king size room felt quite spacious 2. There are more food options than you can consume in a single business trip. And at different price points/service levels. When you've got a Chipolte and Morton's on the same block, that's an area that's going to feed me well. 3. There's a free shuttle from Dulles. I didn't even need to rent a car, which i try to avoid on short business trips. read more

This is a nice Hyatt in a great location! It is easy to get to and easily located within a "town center" with lots of nice restaurants and shops you can walk to. It even has a small ice skating rink right behind the hotel! One thing to note is the room service menu is limited and it comes in the form of takeout containers. The food wasn't bad , but I wasn't aware it would be delivered in a take out bag. Also Panera located in the hotel was completely unprepared for the crowd from the convention and had customers waiting over 2 hours for lunch and many of the orders were incorrect (including mine!). I recommend eating at the many restaurants right outside of the hotel. Overall I had a great stay. It was a perfect location for the dance convention. I would return definitely. read more

I stayed here for two weeks and had an overall good experience. I did have a package mailed to me to the hotel that they say was never delivered, based on their front desk staff, I highly doubt that and assume it's their lack of organization for it not being in my possession. The gym is good for a hotel gym, older equipment, and is crowded on weekday mornings. The pool & hot tub are small, but adequate, and only open 5-9 pm during the week. The Hotel is very different from week to weekend. During the week, it's business people, during the weekend, it's full of weddings, parties, etc. If you like sleep on the weekends, don't expect it here. This hotel has little for security, and people party loud into the wee hours of the morning, whether in their room or the hallways. The limited hotel staff on duty can't seem to keep a handle on the masses of people that attend these Events and then stay at the hotel. The beds are comfortable, the TV's are nice flat screens with limited channel selection. I like that they provide you with toothpaste & mouth wash on top of other standard complimentary toiletries. Refrigerators can be added to your room for $25 fee on top of regular room rate for the entire stay. The location is the best in Reston for a hotel, you can walk anywhere in the Town Center in five minutes. read more

We booked a room block for our senior leaders to attend a meeting locally, guaranteed with a credit card. My boss's flight was delayed and arrived at 2:40am. The hotel had overbooked and had no room for him. They didn't have an alternative booking for him at another hotel. He literally had to wait until 7:30 in the morning for a room to become available. This is where my company had their holiday party this year. It is a beautiful hotel...but I had to park somewhat far away since the hotels hotel garage was full. Not only was our party there...two other companies had parties going on at the same time. This might be why the food was so sub-par. I had the beef and although it was supposed to be filet mignon...it tasted like pot roast...and we could barely cut it. My friend had the chicken...which was in a pastry shell...and did not look too good either. The desserts looked good...but they were ehhh. Plus they only offered two cakes. COME ON!!! I want a variety. The coffee and tea was good. I wasn't impressed. However I will say the coat check was good. read more

Absolutely everything at this location is extra. Parking, even without valet, expensive . No free breakfast, no drink vouchers, no dining discount ...nada . Nothing . And for the above average cost for rooms in the area, I totally feel shorted . Will not stay in this Hyatt again. read more

Newly renovated rooms were a delight to find. We stay here often as we have family in the DC/Great Falls area. Free Wi-Fi a wonderful breakfast in the morning and lots of wonderful shops to meander and window shop during your stay. The staff is always very friendly and extremely helpful and don't forget how close you are to Dulles. read more

Staff member security guard, violated covid guidelines by not wearing mask within two feet from my friends, as they were waiting for me in the lobby. I'm extremely upset they were treated this way. The location is very handy because you are in the town center. There are a lot of designer shops, restaurants, movie theater, outdoor music, in the area. If you have to be in the area for work it's not a bad place to be. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The bar is only open till 11pm on weekdays, the breakfast buffet is pretty small. The rooms have nice comfortable beds, the tv's are still the old tube types which I was surprised. The rooms are somewhat clean but I think they don't vacuum well because I spotted a few pieces from a sequin studded gown. Which was rather odd. I am sure there could have been *much* worse left over in a hotel room. The bathroom tiles didn't look like they were scrubbed for awhile. The air conditioner was loud and the walls weren't as silent as I am used to. I could hear not only my air conditioning but my neighbors on both sides as well. The exercise facility is really good and you no longer have to pay to go to it if you are a guest. They had @8 treadmills that were connected to cable TV. They also had a small pool and whirlpool but they were only open till 9pm. read more

Clearly a business oriented hotel; charges for wi-fi etc. Hotel is very upscale; rooms are very clean and comfortable, with wonderful beds. The Reston town center next door has some very nice upscale restaurants and shops. In general, probably more than you would want to pay unless you are being covered by someone else's expense account. No nearby public transit to anywhere, so a car would be a must. I don't think I could justify the price of about $250-300 per night with tax if merely on a family vacation. read more

This is in a great location and there are plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself is modern and updated but I have stayed in better. I only stayed here for 1 night due to moving in another place in another state and the stay was good enough for what it was. Parking was $16 ... gave me a flash back of my NY stay one time. The bed was not comfortable and the towels were hard like someone took them and washed in the Potomac river and hung them out to dry. Would I stay here again?... probably not. read more

I recently had a terrible experience at the Hyatt Regency Reston in which the hotel security let a drunk (that I do not know) into my room at 2:45AM. This drunk person convinced the security guard that his friend was in my room, which he was not. I woke up to someone I do not know less than 5 feet away from me. When I called front desk about this they offered me free breakfast... After a few choice words, that night was comp'd but that does not do their mistake justice. The room was nice, but the service is absolutely awful. I booked my room and when I tried to cancel was told that the rate was nonrefundable. I was then given my room back, but upon checking out was charged an ADDITIONAL $173. I had to sit on hold for 45 minutes to speak with the accounting department to rectify my problem.
